They had a generous selection of items: steaks (ribeye, t-bone, porterhouse, NY strip, sirloin, filet mignon, hangar/flank, skirt/flatiron), beef heart/tongue/liver, marrow bones, oxtails, brisket, and short ribs; ground beef, beef patties, roast (chuck, sirloin, rump, and bottom round), London broil, tri-tip; pork (tenderloin, bacon, bone-in pork chops, St. Louis ribs, smoked ham hocks, and Boston butts); there were also smoked and regular sausages! I know that the next time, I'll bring a cooler so I can stock up on their oxtails and pick up some steaks! The staff here was super friendly and welcoming, and, if you're lucky, they have some samples for you to try (they had juicy sausages when we were there). Who wants to buy old fruits and veggies from the grocery store instead of shopping at an open-air market? From early May through November, the Suffolk Farmers' Market (SFM) provides a plethora for our senses. Approximately three years ago the SFM started a visitor center that has some nice features, including a pavilion and ceiling fans. Here are key features: -local produce -baked goods -artisan crafts (e.g., jewelry, bags, wood, etc.) -dog biscuits -live music -plants -petting zoo -grass-fed meat and eggs The SFM is open Wednesdays (3 p.m. - 6 p.m.) and Saturdays (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.); personally, I would recommend going on Saturdays as the selections on Wednesdays can be sparse. It is not the biggest market around; but, more so, it's about the community and supporting local businesses. Check it out!

They have buckets for you to grab, or you can bring your own. You get charged per pound that you pick and pay when you're done! They had so many strawberries ready to pick, I had so much fun doing this with my friends kids! I was already planning on making a homemade strawberry shortcake when I got home. They have a cute little coffee truck which I obviously had to stop by. If you have a strawberry latte during strawberry season - you can count on me to grab one! It was so good, and not too sweet or tart from the strawberry! I also had to grab their strawberry donuts from the farm stand. Which, needless to say ... they did not make it home with me. We scarfed those down! Incredible. I loved the "petting zoo" area. You can feed the goats, sit in the rabbit pen and give them some pets, and play with the piglets! Such a cute add on to this experience; and the petting zoo was no charge! They also have a ton of toys and bounce houses for the kiddos. If you're looking for a fun strawberry picking experience, give them a try!

I can't believe no one else has written one for here!…read more Lilleys Farms are well known in Isle of Wight Virginia. I go for the strawberry picking every year. They update the fb almost every day on how the crop is looking, the berries are wonderfully sweet and very well maintained. There are little signs to poke your head through to make you look like a strawberry person- and the people who run is are small town honest people. I only had a credit card this one time, so they told me (and I saw them do this to multiple people too!) to just take the berries and come back eventually when I had cash. I know it's the honor system but it was so nice to be treated like a human vs customer. These are good people, good berries and good picking
