This farm market is sooo cute! It was worth the 1+ hour drive. There is so much to do and see. The best part is that they are dog friendly so I was able to be in and out with my pup. We went on a Saturday and there was live music. I also like how there's a lot of shelter as it was pouring the day we went. My sister and I bought a lot of goodies to bring home. This is always a stop on the way to the OBX. But it is starting to disappoint...as a farm market. Great bathroom facilities that seemingly require a tip even though we are paying premium prices for their goods, normally love a jar or two of jelly but this year they had very strange flavor selections and none of the normal blackberry or red raspberry(lots of selections with hot peppers mixed in but we don't want that with our PB &J). They were out of melons and peaches! How is that possible?? Checkout is always quick and easy. Your purchases are packed with care. We did end up stopping at another local market to get all our produce. This was a very disappointing experience at Morris'. read more

The coolest place in the area!! What a real treat to make a stop into Mortis Farm Market! There is live music playing as you walk in, there are plenty of tables to sit at to enjoy the music (and people watching) or to enjoy some treats or an ice cold drink! Then you go into the market and you could probably spend the entire day looking at jams, breads, produce, pickled anything, t-shirts, and SO much more!! End it off with a Redneck Egg roll! Never heard of such a thing! Pulled pork and collard greens wrapped in an egg roll wrap, served with a spicy pepper sauce! Such a yummy treat! Everyone was friendly and helpful! This is a must stop if you are headed down to the OBX! Great set up and great selection. Might be the best honey crisp apples I have ever had. We stopped at three different farmers markets on the way down and this was the best one we came across. Prices are probably where they are supposed to be with the clientele they are aiming for and receive. I just hope it's not pricing out the locals. read more

TLDR: Farmers Market with good bathrooms! I always stop here on the way to/from the OBX. Fresh veggies and fruit, kitschy snacks. They have wine and beer and baked goods as well. The bathrooms are appreciated. Two options, the actual bathrooms that people clean after each use or the outhouse kind. Please remember to bring a few dollars for tipping the people keeping the bathrooms clean There is also an outdoor area that sometimes serves food (think hot dogs, bbq), beer and has live music. We always used to stop here on our way to the OBX for peaches, berries, and cider. Bathrooms are great too! Unfortunately the last couple of times we went we couldn't escape pro-Trump moments from employees talking about how much they love him at the register to stickers and signs in vendor equipment in the entertainment area. I understand folks will have their politics but if they bring them into their business they'll have to expect folks to take them into account and choose accordingly. read more

We purchased a fruit pie on the way to OBX 5/31/25 and it was excellent. On the way home we stopped for a fruit pie with rhubarb, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and apples. It had a good favor, but the apples were very hard. Not happy with it over all! We are never happy when bakeries use apples that do not cook through, like grandy smith, etc. My personal all time favorite was your peach cider float. Had one on the way and again on the way home. You do have a very nice market. I myself was not pleased with the loud music. Wish I had more time to look around but was traveling with family. Pumpkin season is upon us and we piled our cart high with the colorful gourds they had for sale! The pumpkin bins were separated by color; I never knew there were so many different varieties of gourds! We chose white, cream, and a gourd-geous Aqua color!! They had Tons of traditional orange pumpkins for the strip or your favorite pie! And they stocked plenty of mums to mix and match! Bottom Line: A large seasonal farm market with a variety of produce, food and gifts that is generally open from April to November. Morris Farm Market is one of my favorite places on earth! I really admire the effort that goes into farming, I am fascinated with agriculture and I really like the Currituck County culture so I appreciate all of the local fresh produce at this road-side market that for me is more like mecca. Corn, tomatoes, berries and peaches always catch my eye in the summer months and in the fall I am fascinated by all the varieties of pumpkins and gourds. Morris is more than just fresh produce - they also sell nuts, candy, salsas, sauces, ciders, beer, puzzles, t-shirts, home decor and other goodies. I never leave empty handed. The atmosphere and displays at Morris are excellent. I love making my way through the breezy open-air barn over what I assume is the original floor. Everything is nicely displayed too so it makes shopping more enjoyable. Morris is a well-known pit stop for vacationers seeking their clean gratuity-based restrooms and porta potties.  The restrooms are well equipped and stocked with a toilet, urinal, sink, baby changing station, fan, air freshener, soap, paper towels, etc. and they are checked, and serviced if necessary, after every customer.  The restrooms are decorated with old photos from Currituck and one of my favorites is a photo of a boatload of watermelons headed to the port of Baltimore. read more

This was a great place but it has gotten completely overrun. When it rains don't even show up, it turns into a huge disgusting mud pit. Food is also astronomically expensive $18 for a BBQ sandwich. There is nothing wrong with this place. Everything is delicious! I always make a point to go to the dip and beer section. Plenty of parking available. Baked goods located all the way in the back. Fresh produce. Sauces, dips, anything pickled and more. Talking about pickled...they have pickled quail eggs you HAVE to try. I made my staff try some and to their surprise...surprisingly delicious. BIG RIG FRIENDLY...A great stop for the whole family, fur children included! Everything reasonably priced. Food truck(s), bar, fresh produce, ice cream stand, crafts, toys, bounce houses, good music, and friendly staff. Before we would stop at a produce stand just before this on RT 158 and last year the prices were ridiculous, so this year we decided to pass it up and came upon Morris's. I haven't been back here in over 10 years! I am so happy I did! My son and I took a trip out here on a Sunday afternoon. I can't believe how much it has changed. I grew up in Currituck so I remember how it was years ago and boy has it changed. The parking lot is super big allowing for all vehicles of size. They have a very large covered area for eating. They had several local food trucks for food. They have picnic areas and chairs to allow for sitting and eating both covered for shade and sun bathing. They are dog friendly since since it's outside. They have a makeshift stage for bands to play music. Let's not forget about the actual market. This is everything I remember and more. They have everything from salsa, fruit, vegetables, local gifts, apparel, bakery goods, and I even saw meats and cheeses. They still have ice cream and it's just as delicious as I remember as a teenager. I ordered a hot dog with French fries for my son and it was good. Not sure if it was $9.50 good, but good. Everyone there was super nice and helpful, exactly how I remember. I can't wait to bring the rest of the family on another weekend. h read more

Kind of a tourist trap, imho. We stopped here on the way to OBX, it was around lunch time. There are food trucks on one side of a large barn that's made out to work as a pavilion. There's also a bar. The market is fine, it's partially a gift shop and partially a produce market, not sure if they grow all the produce or if they bring it in from somewhere else. We got cucumbers, no complaints there. We also got wine and cider, the wine is made somewhere else and labeled for them. I was under the impression that there was a petting zoo here, but I think I was mistaken. You have to pay to use the civilized bathrooms which I think is silly. I guess they don't want people stopping to use the restroom without buying something, but there's a rest stop not far down the road so I think the people who go here aren't just going for the bathrooms. Anyway, it was fine. I might stop again, it would just be incidental, I wouldn't make a point to stop. read more

What a great stop on the way to the Outer Banks! They not only have a huge store with produce, packaged goods, and jarred goods, but they also have an outdoor bbq stand and a bar, both with very reasonable prices and a surprisingly wide selection! This is the perfect break from a long drive to relax and walk around as well as stock up on essential groceries for the beach house. They are also very family friendly AND dog friendly. Our favorite roadside market on the way to the Outer Banks! But this place is more than just a roadside farmers market! Not only do they have the freshest produce, but they have food, live music and a BAR! During the summer we have to stop to get peaches, and the corn on the cob we picked up was so tasty! And look at those blackberries-- they were HUGE! They also have a bakery that smelled heavenly. The prices are fair and there's lots of parking. After paying, we got a peach slushy float and headed outside to the live music. They've recently built a large, covered outdoor section that was a life saver on the day we went (super hot). This provided lots of seating, but we posted up next to the bar. I imagine they have a social media you can follow to see what events they have so you can plan your trip around that. I look forward to our next OBX trip so we can stop by Morris Farms! read more

On our drive to the Outer Banks, this is one of my favorite places to stop by! The produce here is amazing! I've had really good peaches and cantaloupes from here. They also have really clean bathrooms in the back which is helpful during a long drive. The staff is always super friendly. Before COVID, there used to be samples all over of the ciders, salsas, pickles, fruit, which helped with convincing me to purchase lots of items i typically wouldnt get. I typically like to buy some fruit, pickles, and salsa every time we stop by! read more

We always stop at this market on our way back from the OBX - it's a big market and their various ciders are our favorites to bring back home. There are picnic tables in front so it's also a good place to stop for a snack break. They don't seem to advertise as abundantly as some of the other less good markets on this stretch, obviously they don't have to with their high ratings on Yelp. It's on the right (east) side when you head out to the OBX so easy to spot, however heading north from the OBX it's more easily missed. There is a billboard 3 miles south of it at the start of Rt 168, we saw it and and counted the miles but still went right past it and had to turn around. And it's not like we haven't been here before! Talked to one of the staff there and they agreed that it's "tricky" coming from the south. Hope they'll add a more prominent sign there at the entrance in the future. read more

Oh this place is amazing I have passed it before on our way to OBX. A local recommended this place so I finally stopped in with the kiddos. They have inflatables during the warmer months. A large covered patio area with several picnic tables to eat food served from a local food truck. They have a tiki bar with choices of local brewed spritzers,pale ales,lagers and of course nonalcoholic beverages as well. They had a live band the day I came which really gives you that warm happy summer day vibes. You can tell this is a hot spot for the locals and I understand why.So much for young kids to do and an opportunity for the whole family to make new friends.Mortis market really does a great job of making everyone feel so welcomed and it's easy to feel at home with environment they create. Once your done indulging in food and drinks make sure to check out the market as they have all kinds of items locally made. Along with some unique home decor you may not find elsewhere. The bathrooms are extremely well maintained and make sure to say hi to the bathroom attendant as he is the owner of this fine establishment!!
