I am definitely going back. It has so much of the same items that my favorite Farmers Market has but I can go on my lunch hour. I don't have to get up on a Saturday morning early and make it down there before the crowds. They have loads of fresh veggies and fruits - of course. Seafood. Nuts. Soup. Sauce. Candy. The prices are about the same as any other farmers market. They were super friendly and told gave me the lay of the land and what was fresh. Yup...this is going to be a regular stop for me. So convenient.

From Chesapeake it was about a 25 minute drive out to this farm in Pungo. We went early, around 12 , on a Saturday afternoon. We wanted to be the rain. You have to purchase and choose available pick times online. You can arrive anytime but can't do the u-pick until your designated slot time. We arrived and there was plenty of parking. We looked around the market first. It wasn't huge but they had a great variety of different jams, jellies, salsa, baked goods and fresh fruit and veggies. Everything was reasonably priced! We went directly outside the market to a little table to check in for blueberry picking! There young lady was polite . She scanned our qr code and gave us arm bands. She did let us know that there were a couple blackberry bushes out there as well that we could pick also. It isn't advertised because they're aren't a lot of plants. A short walk to the entrance to the patch and there picking began!! It was nice because there weren't a lot of people out so the rows weren't crowded. The bushes still had lots of ripe fruit on them! We picked for about 20 minutes, Paid 8 dollars for our pint and went to the car to take a much needed cool off break. We were told that we could walk or drive over to the orchard. It wasn't a long walk, but in the heat, and if you're carrying a box of peaches, it could be a bit much. We drove over to the orchard, parked and checked in at a little shed nearby. we picked peaches for about twenty minutes and even noticed that there were a couple nectarine trees as well. the peaches were not ripe.However, that did not deter us from picking. A simple trip home and storing them in a brown paper bag would ripen them up perfectly in about three days! We paid 20 for a half peck box. It filled up very quickly. Overall great experience!! We are going back to try the ice cream and to pick apples during that season!

My friends and I purchased tickets an ahead of time online and we did have to ask where to go for peach picking once we got there. The fruit fields were gorgeous and kept so nice. At the peach fields we were given a 1/2 peck baskets to pick and then purchase. After picking we paid at the booth, we checked out the farm stand where they sell fresh homemade ice cream. The ice cream flavors rotate. Flavors I noticed were sweet corn and Ube. This is a great place to bring family for fun activities.

This farm always participates in the strawberry picking season and the price is about $4/lb for U Pick. The employees are friendly and it's a no frills strawberry type of farm. The farm itself is on the smaller side but still has enough rows of Strawberries for your picking needs. Our recent trip resulted in a Ton of great looking strawberries but weren't as sweet as we were expecting but it was still tasty. The parking space here can fill up quickly. Recommended wearing closed toes shoes, esp when there is a recent rain storm. Still love to come here and pick some strawberries and will continue to come.

Evidently they've been so busy with people picking strawberries they were pretty much picked over. They had a fun inventory of gifts, fresh produce, fresh dairy, drinks, jams, and candy. We were initially going to stop by the annual Strawberry Festival in Pungo, but ended up at Brookdale Farm nearby. It was pretty empty when we went around 4/5pm on Saturday. It's so scenic and peaceful out in Pungo and my friend and I had so much fun walking through the field and picking strawberries. Apparently, it's toward the end of the picking season, but we found some beautiful and plump berries! We each filled up the bucket ($1) and we both paid around $12-13 (I want to say between 4-5lb). I'd suggest possibly wearing long sleeves or gloves while picking because there are little bugs when you lift the vines up to pick. My wrists and arms are a bit itchy but nothing too bothersome. I'll definitely have to come back next season! The stand where you pay also has an array of jams and butters that you can purchase.

They sell all kinds of fresh produce as well as some meat and eggs. The strawberry fields are PACKED with berries -- beautiful and delicious. Plus, on both occasions we visited we were basically the only people there so it was easy to socially distance. This place doesn't have the bells and whistles of the larger farms with activities for kids and what not, but it's perfect if you're not looking for a crowded environment. Plus, it's reasonably priced. The strawberries are $2 per pound and a bucket holds about 5 pounds when completely full. They are CASH ONLY so do make sure you have some on hand when you go. I highly recommend Evan's Farms!

We left with two baskets full of strawberries and a little of everything else. They make their own honey and grow their own veggies. This will the only farm I will pick strawberries from moving forward.
