Last week I made an appointment for my regular buddy George to go in. Today got there well on time. They were 20 minutes late. And was refusing to let me bring him in. No other customers are in there. I had on my PPE. They could have saved me a 30 mile one-way trip by telling me when made an appointment.. They have lost a good 30-year customer. Recently I had an appointment to have my dogs teeth cleaned and when I received a reminder text of…read morethe appointment it gave the incorrect time for drop off. I called to confirm the correct time and what they sent was incorrect. After I got off the phone I realized they had not given any instructions on if I was to end water and eating for my dog the night before being put under. I called the office back and they confirmed that the dog should not be given any food or water after midnight. When I arrived for my dogs appointment the next day I observed that staff arrived approximately 5 minutes before opening. Once I got to speak to the front desk staff I shared my concerns about the lack of communication regarding feeding and watering and the response from the girl at the front desk was "everyone knows that knows that " I replied that no, not everyone knows that and asked if the business had went through a change in ownership as it seems it was not being ran as well as it used to be. I then proceeded to check my dog in and was given a paper to sign certifying that all information about the treatment had been explained to me, yet nothing had been explained. When I mentioned that nothing had been explained, the girl asked it I wanted to speak to the vet and I replied , yes I would. I sat in the lobby for approximately 5 minutes and when the girl returned she advised the vet couldn't speak with me because he was in surgery. I advised her to cancel my appointment

I always brought my dog back home for routine vet visits because of this places prices. No where else compares to the down to earth people here. The Dr. isnt going to act like your best friend but he will for sure take care of your pet and it won't cost you an arm and a leg. My real opinion of this place changed when my elderly dog needed a teeth cleaning and 2 teeth pulled. The vet I had established care with in Morgantown (for emergencies and nail trimmings) quoted me almost $2,000 for this. I quickly called Pocatalico to get a quote and it was so much cheaper. I made my dog an appointment and reworked my school schedule just to drive the 3 hours for my dog to be seen here instead of Morgantown. What Morgantown wanted to charge me $2,000 for cost me $177 at Pocatalico. Morgantown quoted me $700 for anesthesia for the cleaning. Pocatalico's $177 included all the anesthesia, antibiotics, fluids, and the procedure. Plus the true love and caring of the staff. I will always bring my dogs here for routine care and planned procedures no matter where I move to. It is 100% worth the drive to me. Growing up and having this vet set my standards for other vets quickly made me realize what a blessing they are to the community. I will never take my business elsewhere if I can help it.

They were so extremely helpful with the entire process and after helping me for over a year when i felt she was done fighting they helped me with her passing. They are always helpful with the many drop off cats i have to help. My only complaint is not being able to fix strays without all their shots so it gets expensive.

The couple expected horses in their stalls to greet the guests and there were none. My brother had to ask for the empty stalls to be mucked out because they stunk from 'a lot more than a day's worth' of horse crap. The horses were out in the far pastures and barely visible from the venue. It wasn't what we expected but it wasn't our worst problem. About an hour into the reception the bride and groom readied for pictures cutting their three tiered wedding cake. The cake had been set up in the air conditioned reception hall surrounded by beautiful cupcakes. When the couple stepped behind the cake, it and the cupcakes were COVERED in ants. It was a total loss, there wasn't a single cupcake or tier they hadn't attacked. The bride took this in stride and handled it with more grace than could have been expected. I was very proud of her! After the happy couple left and we started cleanup a venue person arrived. When told about the ants ruining the cake she asked if we were sure that we didn't bring them in with the cake. What a stupid thing to say! As if we would accept and set up an ant covered cake. After glancing around a minute she then said "We've only had this happen one other time." I wanted to choke her! There were no offers to reduce the bill or even a sincere apology. I'm not a person who writes many reviews but this experience stung! It was not all it could have been, buyer beware of this place.

Decorate your living room? I think not, lol. The outdoor space for the ceremony was perfect as well as the indoor reception space which was air conditioned in July (there's also heat for weddings on chilly days).
