I always took Evans shuttle when I needed to go to SFO Airport. And also when I was returning home from a flight from SFO Airport. They almost always were running on time. The busses were always very clean. And drivers were always friendly. The best thing was I could just sit back and relax and leave the driving to them. I was always amazed at the huge amount of traffic. And our bus driver knew the shortcuts to the airport because busses have a special lane, and could pass up all the cars, and not have to wait in a long line of traffic. Thus the bus driver got us to Airport much quicker than I could have just driving my car. I highly reccomend. read more

Evans transportation is the ultimate way to get to Napa from the airport. 40 dollars flat rate per person from the airport to Napa. Their buses are very clean and the drivers are friendly. They do not try to scam you or charge for every little thing. Much much cheaper and more spacious than uber, Lyft or a taxi. They are located at 4D at the Oakland airport. I recommend checking their website for schedules ect. My only recommendation for Evans would be to add a 8 am ,12pm or 1:30 time. I believe these would be prime times to that people would use transportation to and from the airport. Overall Evans is the way to go! Ps. They only accept cash so make sure you have some before boarding. read more

We got on the bus from Napa to SFO and were told of an accident that would take us around an extra hour. They could have told us while waiting so we could either share an Uber or make other plans. THe bus had to stop in Vallejo. Rather than taking us straight to the airport and get us there on time, and send another shuttle to pick them up, we are now 2 hrs into the ride and still have another hour according to GPS. Oh and several of us have been following waze and google maps and seems like the driver is taking his own route. All of us will miss our flights. read more

This is an easy way to get from San Francisco to Napa at a pretty cheap price. It's $29 a person and only cash is accepted on board. Though they have a list of hotels where they can drop you off on their web page, but they'll actually only take you to the Napa depot. If you want to be dropped off at a specific hotel, you'll have to pay an additional $16 per person. It's cheaper to just take a cab the rest of the way at a quarter of the cost since most things are super close by. Not close enough to walk though. If you don't have cash, they have an ATM that you can use in their lobby in Napa. Make sure you visit their website as every terminal at the SFO has their own pickup spot. It's usually at ground transportation where the other airport shuttles are, but they have specific spot and wont stop at all of them. No reservation is required and you just show up at one of their scheduled times. The bus is a little outdated with swirly multicolored carpet lining the ceilings. There are also some televisions that didn't appear to be working during this journey. The ride is a little over an hour, so it's not a big deal since there is plenty of look at on the way, especially if you've never been to these parts before. I'm sure there are other ways to go to Napa, but this was the cheapest and most convenient that I found. I'd definitely take them again when traveling there! read more

$29 bucks to the airport?!! Sign me up! This is the ONLY way to get to Oakland and San Francisco airports and still have money to spend when you get to your destination. The bus drivers are nice and the vehicles are clean and on time. They charge $5 to park in their lot. The SFO buses are more comfortable than the small vans to OAK, but I'm not complaining. My biggest issue is how few trips they have to go to OAK. Otherwise, I'm a fan! read more

The schedule is amazing, it's ~$29 for a one-way ticket to SFO and it takes only about 15 more minutes than if you sped the entire way to SFO from Napa - not including the time you have to take to find a spot, park, haul your luggage or wait for a shuttle at long-term parking (NO thanks! My last bill for a 1-week trip at SFO's regular parking was over $200). It's so nice to have a zero-stress ride before arriving at the airport and the busses are great. The buses are clean, and the prices are reasonable., but they don't run often enough. The big question is, why do they only take cash? Are they so unsophisticated that they can't figure out how to use a credit card system? Or, are they just avoiding taxes? If they're avoiding taxes, shame on them! How can a transportation company, that clearly earns a living off of using the public roads, not feel it an obligation to pay taxes? Makes me sincerely wonder what kind of people are running this business. Either way, they aren't doing what's in the best interest of their customers. No app either. Also, I have been riding with them for nearly 10 years, and I never feel welcomed when I get on the bus or get to their terminal in Napa. This company does a fantastic job. Clearly family owned with an attitude of really caring about the drivers and passengers. My driver today with Evans is Matt although he doubles with the parent company CWT (California Wine Tours). Super smooth driving, great spacing on the road with other vehicles and when he goes over his safety review with you prior to the trip embarking, you immediately know that safety is a company focus! As I'm riding in their shuttle on the way to Oakland airport, I write this review. A few important pieces of information to take note of- 1) they raised their prices.... Going from $29 one way to $40!!!! That's almost a 40% increase! I don't know if ANY Business that can raise their prices 40% in a year and still stay in business without some sort of backlash. That is ridiculous! 2) once we board (and the gentleman is blocking the door) we are informed that they only drop off at one location at the airport now. And specifically states, "so if you're flying southwest, sorry folks you have about a half a block walk". Now a half a block walk may not sound that much to you, but for me traveling with 2 bowling ball bags AND A suitcase it's literally going to be mess if not impossible!!! Not cool to do! I am a local in Napa and have always recommended Evans. I got picked up in a van where 8 of us are crammed in. We each pay $40 so it's $320. Our van is an old van where the wheels seem to be about to fall off and there's a cracked windshield. I am HORRIFIED! I will NEVER recommend or take again. read more

Evans is the best way to get from San Francisco International Airport to Napa. It's not your typical airport shuttle van, most of their fleet seems to be a coach bus. I did however have one trip that was on a crowded and rattling mini bus but it was definately better than some dingy old van. Lots of room for improvement, especially given the cost of the rides. But would you really rather drive all the way to SFO?! Factor in two bridge tolls, gas, parking and the head ache. Nope, didn't think so ;). read more

I've used Evans several times from Napa to Oakland Airport & SFO and have found them to be ok-- service is good, schedule inconsistencies are terrible. The bus to Oakland was pretty rinky-dink, very loud & the windows rattled the whole way. Recently, from SFO to Napa, the bus was large, clean, quiet & comfortable. Evans even called taxis for the passengers who needed them and taxis were waiting for us on arrival. The *major* drawback is their online schedule chart-- BEWARE: the chart is NOT for 7 days a week for every time offered, despite it saying that. Apparently, the savvy eye must see a tiny * (asterisk) next to the earliest Napa departure times and then scan further down to see it's ONLY M-F. I learned this the hard way after arriving at 4:40am last Saturday morning only to have the bus terminal lady ask me why I was there....once I told her, she said, 'I wish they would make the schedule clearer for people,' leading me to believe this happens frequently. Evans needs to correct this problem as it was a huge inconvenience for me, especially so early in the morning. Had to convince my dear old Dad to drive me all the way to SFO to catch my plane. It sucked. Imagine if that happened to you and you had NO other way to your early flight? Just because Evans wasn't explicitly clear--I'd be furious! I recently used Evan's on a trip to SFO with my husband and young daughter. You don't even need a reservation, just show up and walk on, which is great for us- as we tend to decide things last min! The bus wasn't overly packed either, so we were definitely able to get seats together. I must admit, I was pretty nervous to take an airport shuttle- especially with our active daughter, and all our luggage, but our driver, Jerry, was so friendly and confident that it put me right as ease. And he didn't even seemed phased by a few screams here and there! The whole experience was pretty ideal actually- we got to the airport on time and stress-free. We didn't have to worry about parking (or remembering where we parked the car), and walked right on on the return trip! And it was very easy to find Evan's bus at the airport. $29 for a ride from Napa to SFO oh wait that was the old price, now it is $39 per person. One way trip to SFO is super pricey. I have used Evans for years and they have been late to pick me up from the airport to get home at least 5 out of 6 times. They only accept cash and if you have to use the atm to get your own money they will charge you for this too. On my last Evans ride I witnessed them charging a couple from out of town an additional $40 to take them to a hotel 9 miles away. Pretty sad! The people are friendly, but seriously charging this amount of money, running every two hours and not always being on time. Not worth it anymore. read more

Extremely disappointed. I use Evans often, but this experience made me really dislike the company as a whole. After arriving on a bus from SFO to the Napa terminal I called a Lyft to get to my final destination (home). My Lyft driver arrived and parked in the loading zone so I could put my bag in the trunk. He was there for 3 seconds, not even enough time to get out of the car to help me with my bag, when the OWNER sprints up to his window and starts accosting him like I've never seen before. He was cursing at him, telling him he was trespassing, threatening to call the cops, telling him to get the F*** off his property, holding his door closed so he couldn't get out of the car, and creating such a huge scene that the other passengers started intervening. Everyone was appalled and disgusted. Why did he do this? Was it because he was parked in a bus loading zone? Maybe. But the correct response would have been politely asking him to move. Was it because he was a Lyft driver? Maybe he thinks Lyft and Uber are taking away his business. Or could it have been because my Lyft driver was black? I certainly hope not, but I can't rule it out. Fly back to sfo every weekend from work at Fort Lauderdale and live in vallejo. The sfo to vallejo route is lovely. Been on time everytime. The traffic of course could delay your trip into the city but it's not their fault. The large buses that are usually used are nice and comfortable and the smaller bus needs a bit of an overhaul. Sitting in the back while going over bumps sounded like the bus was about to fall apart. Very convenient and I'm a public transport snob. Have cash for the 29 dollars and they collect in napa or vallejo and not at the airport. Awesome. Thanks yall! read more

I don't actually know how far it is from SFO to Napa, but a 29.00 ride from Evans Airport Service made me very happy. You can get a list of their operational schedule at the little transportation kiosks in the airport. We ended up on the last shuttle from SFO on a Friday night, which departed promptly at 2230 and got us to napa at 2350. Our driver, Gary, was warm and friendly, but didn't kill us with a bunch of insane tour bus driver chatter. He called a cab for us, which was waiting once we arrived at the Evans bus terminal in Napa. Our return ride to the airport was on one of those executive mini van things, which was super bumpy. My friend actually commented "did we just get off a donkey ride through the grand canyon?". I much preferred the old school greyhound bus over the short bus, but it wasn't horrible. Cash only, but they have an ATM inside. No reservations, just show up around 10 mins before departure. I guess that could get iffy during the high tourist season, but it worked fine for us. All in all, good deal. The trip is around 209 by taxi, and when we called a few other transportation places, the going rate was around 85 bucks. read more

I've been using Evans for a long time. Over the last few years, it has declined greatly in quality. The drivers and staff are fine. The schedule is ok, not the best. It's the buses themselves that are the biggest problem, Though the buses appear nice inside, they are terrible! I almost threw up on a recent ride to the airport in one of their smaller buses. There was so much jolting and shaking that it was unbearable. I couldn't wait to get off! In addition, the windshield had a huge crack and it was very cold in the bus the whole way. My elderly parents took the bus as well over the holidays and were sore and shaken up when they disembarked. I will never let them experience that again! For $40 each way to the airport, Evans should make sure the comfort level is acceptable. Making the inside of the bus look nice does not mask horrible and dangerous mechanical maintenance. Riders should not be getting nauseous, bumped around and jostled continuously during their hour plus ride to or from the airport. read more

We love Evans for helping make our Napa trips work so well! We often have family and friends coming and going throughout the week when we visit my brother's house in St Helena. Evans helps make sure we don't have to make multiple trips to the airports! The location is excellent for so many places in Napa Valley, and the system runs like clockwork. Lots of arrival and departure times mean you can always find something that's a good fit, and I honestly find it so much less stressful than having to be the driver (or even the navigator) in the bay area. Watch out! Either new driver or new enforcement of "carry on bag has to go in the overhead or pay $10". Never even discussed before. Bins don't fit airplane carry ons, so you're stuck. Makes the round trip to SFO cost $100, not such a deal when I factor in the waits and no early morning run. read more

But you have 9 shiny new Secret Service looking SUVs that look in tip top condition... well we know where the "$40 cash only" is going, certainly not to the maintenance budget. My family and I have been using Evans to get to the airports for many years. Love the service, it's so handy. My only complaint is that every now and then they use a little mini bus that is the most uncomfortable ride. I don't think it has any shocks. The ride is extremely bumpy , noisy, and cold. An effective $40 (cash only) flat rate way to get from Napa to the airport. They definitely have the system down here. I will say that the drivers do their best to be completely on time but keep in mind that traffic affects arrival times at SFO. The driver stops at international terminal first, then terminals 1, 2 and 3. If you are on a United flight (terminal 3) you should build in an additional 15 minutes. I read some negative reviews but did not think they were deserved. This was a clean, well organized and smooth ride. read more

Have put off for a long time leaving a review. They are not running their shuttles now because of Covid. However, prices keep going up. First paid about $21.00 per person - few years later prices jumped to about $40. 00 per person - now a couple years later another major increase to $75.00. Must have CASH???? Why don't they take CCs? Been taking the bus weekly back and forth to SFO for the last two years. A much needed and appreciated service. In the last couple of months, it seems there is a whole new staff who are not nearly as good in customer service as the old staff was. It's a shame. On my way to Napa, I was first at the bus and while undoing my tote bag from my suitcase, the driver asked me was I going to Napa. I said yes, and left my bag there for him to load. He loaded all of the other suitcases except mine, then came onboard to ask who's suitcase it was. And, same driver same day, was snarky when he asked the whole bus who already had a ticket. I raised my hand (as has always been done in he past) and he said " you should have told me." Currently, I'm on the bus with another driver, heading back to SFO. Just not as friendly as they have been. I'll keep using the service, but I'm disappointed that the friendly, customer-focused drivers are gone. The worst. Bought a ticket at The counter at the Vallejo Marriott. Bus Driver said he came through, and announced he was here. Why wouldn't he ask the people at the counter if they had any passengers for the San Francisco airport? No customer service. No fail perfect and kind service. Also they have the most professional, timely drivers. I always feel safe taking Evans as the drivers are cool and collected. My last trip was February 26 and Dave was the driver; very well mannered and friendly and not only was he on time at the Oakland airport, but early! It was a very cold day and he offered to put on the heater for me, and I slept the whole way to Napa. I highly recommended Evans!!! Also they were kind to call a cab service for me upon my arrival to Napa; Napa Red Cab had a friendly and kind driver to take me the rest of the way home. I used Evans recently to go from Napa to SFO. Pros: The service was fast and efficient. It departed promptly on time. The driver was friendly, helpful, and safe. Cons: Cash only. Bus didn't arrive SFO at the expected time. Bus was definitely on the dated side. I think the price is excellent for the service. I arrived around 9:25am to the Napa terminal, just before the 9:30 bus to OAK. When we pulled up, the OAK driver came over to see if I was headed for Oakland. He didn't have to do that, he was just providing good service. The SFO driver was equally polite and a safe driver. The traffic we encountered was typical for a Friday and we didn't arrive SFO until about 11:45, 15 minutes late by Evans' timetable. I think they may need to adjust the expected times to correspond with traffic during that time of day. All said it was a very reasonably priced service and with frequent departures to and from Napa will be my number 1 choice in the future should I return. read more
