Oreanne was unnecessarily drawn into the situation by some of the rudest, poorest management I've ever witnessed...but went out of her way to be dismissive, unkind, and unprofessional. I'll never forgive whatever woman gave her the thumbs up on my FB group which is what initially led me to this establishment. Neither stylist went by the photo I'd given, and then managed to blame me in the end saying it was not possible with our daughter's hair color. Aside from the fact that we've since proven it was, elsewhere - how about say that first instead of nodding and starting in. (The assistant manager at the time, and only reasonable stylist there - I think she may have left now - said she'd have offered an alternative photo if she didn't feel it was achievable.) I let it go the first time and didn't complain, but the second time, after we'd dropped over $600 total for a look we never got, I felt I had to say something, and my gawd...the response. This salon acted like a bag of hissing cats that charges top dollar for poor execution and back woods diva behavior. Stay. Away. No one needs this in their life.

I help her pay her bills? She does a good job though. The management here asks her to bring her own blow dryer with her. That's just unreal. What kind of employer doesn't provide any tools to their employee? Even contractors in the corporate world get a notebook computer from the corporation who contracts with them (to use for as long as they're a 1099 there). Overall, I'm satisfied but I get the faint feeling of dissatisfaction whenever I'm here. Not sure what it is that makes me a bit uncomfortable to be here. I guess I don't feel warmly welcomed.

On Saturday, March 20, 2021 I went to the salon and the woman inside the shop did not ask as to why I am standing outside. Called again and spoke with Patricia in which she asked for my phone number. Received a text from Patricia today, March 22, 2021 asking me to text my name, email and time I would like to come in in which I did. I sent text telling Patricia what hair services I wanted and asked about the cost. Patricia told me that when my hair appointment is scheduled, the system will send a notification which will include cost estimate. She also stated that she cannot do a phone quote on what she doesn't know what she is looking at. I asked Patricia if I come in at 6:00 a.m. will she be finished by 10:00 a.m. as I had an appointment in North Raleigh. She stated yes. I also asked her does she have a cool setting on the blow dryer. Patricia told me "I'm a professional of over 30 years. I don't usually do all this ask and forth texting. I will see you for your appointment where we can discuss your service." I responded to Patricia by stating that "I'm sure you are a professional woman with years of experience. However, I called the shop twice. I also left a voice message that I did not get a response. On Saturday, I went to the shop and called again. That's when you answered the phone. I suggest you take tips on how to be more professional." Patricia then responded back by saying "You know I was coming in on my day off to accommodate you tomorrow. But I think a stylist that is less busy would be a better fit for you. Good luck in your search." From looking at the three reviews from 2017 and 2018, I see why business at this hair salon is very slow. No customers since 2018? Word of advice to Patricia at Your Time Hair Care Salon. Unless you a celebrity stylist, your business is customer-based, you will be more successful if you learn professional etiquette in dealing with potential new customers. I suggest you you learn from this experience because negative word of mouth can be detrimental to your business.

She's been around Raleigh a long time, so she knows what's going on and is just a cool person. As a hairdresser, she knows what to do with my hair. I have wavy/curly fine yet very thick hair. It's a dark ash blonde naturally, and in the past year, I'm starting to get more grey. She is great with curls. In fact, I probably have 10-15 friends with curly hair who also go to Claire because of her reputation for knowing what to do with curly hair. I have her cut it so I don't have to do much to it afterwards. Claire also knows how to color my hair. She's very flexible about what I need. If I tell her I'm broke, so it needs to last a while, she does more fine subtle highlights. If I'm able to come in more regularly, she can really make it pop (if that's what I want). I've learned that she is more conservative with how she cuts. So she'll never go in and assume you want any more cut than you've said. In fact, I've had to say, "Go ahead! Be more drastic!" Honestly, this is such a better a problem than the opposite, and I really appreciate that. Too much cut when that's not what you want can be a scary thing. That will never happen with Claire. The studio is on a quiet little bend in a street in Boylan Heights. It's a very relaxing place to sit and chat while you have your hair done. I imagine I'll be going to see Claire at Boylan Heights as long as it's possible. BTW, I know some non-curly folks who go to Claire, too. She can do that, but curls are her specialty.
