We stayed in Room 13, the Water Tower Suite. It was a memorable trip from start to finish. The staff is warm and extremely helpful. One of the innkeepers, Cali, had a beautiful handwritten note waiting for our family with recommendations for coffee shops, bookstores, cafes, ice cream, hikes, and other local excursions. Delaney, another amazing innkeeper, made sure we had everything we needed for the entirety of our trip. I can't say enough about the staff. The Water Tower Suite was beautiful. We had the best view of the sunrise to the east and ocean views to the west. There is a sauna on the second floor that was an absolute treat. Breakfast was delicious and service was pleasant and fast. We hope to be back soon for another stay!

This time was the worst and we will never be back again. These are the reasons why: there is no room service unless one asks for it; our room #19 was disturbed by someone on the property replacing the roof right out side our window; the rate includes breakfast and the service was so bad that on our second night we bought breakfast at a nearby cafe; we had a classic drink (gimlet) at the bar and I had to tell the attendant how to make it; the physical plant needs major attention, very tired. The final incident sealed the deal for me. I went to the front to request a meet with management to address the constant hammering--never a response! It is very sad for us because we used to love this place.

Large space, decent variety of beer on draft - I had the hazy ipa and wheat beer, enjoyed both. Fair prices and I appreciated that they serve 20oz pours. Fast and friendly bar service. They had a band playing the evening I visited -- band wasn't good, but it livened up the atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop over here in lieu of the big chain brewery.

He tried their new stout and loved it, I had a blackberry cider. We were lucky enough to score a table since they ran out of takeout cups. The music was great, the dogs were great! Our dog had a little scuffle with another dog in a group, no idea who started it but everyone was prompt in controlling their dogs and nobody was harmed. It was an excellent experience and we look forward to our next visit!

We sat in the outside back area and when I tell you we were speechless... we were SPEECHLESS! We could not believe how beautiful and green our view was. It felt like we died and were in heaven lol. That is all we kept saying to each other. Our host Taylor was so lovely. She was very friendly, excited to talk about the wines with us, and gave us recommendations for food spots to try when we were staying in Mendicino. We did a tasting and I wish the pours were a tiny bit bigger but that didn't bother me at all because the view was amazing on it's own. We're so excited to come back!

Rendezvous is hospitality done right…read more My fiancé and I found this place completely by chance after booking a last-minute stay while road-tripping up the California coast, and it ended up becoming one of the highlights of our entire trip. Diane and Damien are exceptional hosts. They're incredibly warm and welcoming, and you can tell how much thought and genuine care goes into the experience they've created. Rendezvous is cozy, beautiful and peaceful, but it's all of the thoughtful little details throughout the stay that really set it apart. Our private hot tub session after a long day on the road was such a treat, and waking up to a fresh homemade breakfast the next morning somehow made it even better. One of my favorite little touches? They have complimentary Rendezvous postcards for guests. I loved our stay so much that I sat down and sent FIVE of them to friends and family while we were there. I was basically doing their marketing for them before we had even checked out. There are beautiful places to stay, and then there are places where the hospitality makes you feel genuinely cared for as a guest. Rendezvous is the latter. With the available cooking utensils, we were able to make dinner one evening. A small grocery store is a few minutes south. We didn't use the fireplace but there are recliner chairs in front of it that were very inviting if you want a relaxing night in. It is easy to reach Diane and Damien via text. The day before we placed our breakfast order and it was delivered to our door in the morning. The ginger scone was my favorite but the biscuits were also huge and fluffy. Loved the matcha latte. The flowers and plants on the property were gorgeous. If you walk to the top of the property, there is a gazebo and sitting area. Perfect for a place to read. You can see the ocean and hear the Sea Lions. One night we signed up for an hour long session in the hot tub. It was very private, clean, and super relaxing. If you go after dark, the stars are incredible. The pathways were well lit for your walk back. Before visiting, I was a little unsure of what the electric vehicle charging would look like. There are two sections of parking, depending on which room you are staying in. They are well marked based on which room you stay in and don't require a long walk. I recommend to have directions saved and to look up ideas on where you want to go before you leave. There will be little to no signal once you leave the property. Had a fantastic dinner at Izakaya Gama (be sure to make reservations ahead of time) and went to The Record afterwards for a drink. There was a live band and so much positive energy. Damien and Diane were so friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to go back, try a different room, do a wine tasting with Diane and explore more of this gorgeous area. The brunette girl and the gentleman were very nice but the blonde was not only rude on the phone but in person! Which to me is unacceptable! But, my husband wanted to stay at this hotel. We had a drink at the bar and the bartenders were wonderful! Very friendly and helpful with my choice of wine and dinner. The room... for $400 dollars you are Only paying for the view! The bed was old and Very uncomfortable. The TV was so small The room decor and bathroom tile are old and could use some new up dating! We had a king with an Ocean View which is nice but you are right on the road and it is noisy if you are looking for quiet it's not your room! So, over all I would not stay here I'd stop for a drink
