He replaced the radiator and water pump, repositioned the external transmission cooler, and replaced the tail housing gasket on the transmission. My truck has never run cooler transmission temps than it does now. Francis is very knowledgeable and actually understands how these older trucks heat up when you're towing or sitting in traffic. He explained what he was doing and why instead of just slapping parts on. If you need cooling or transmission work done right, take it to Francis.

I found Francis through an online search because of the many positive reviews, and during our first interaction he was friendly, professional, and seemed very knowledgeable. He ordered the part directly from Acura and quoted me a fair price. My car was ready the following day, but when I arrived to pick it up, Francis informed me that my vehicle had been involved in an accident while in his care. He explained that another driver had been speeding through the parking lot and crashed into him. He gave me the other driver's information, and I contacted him immediately. The other driver gave a very different version of events. He stated that he was backing out of a parking space and did not see Francis. He also told me that Francis provided his driver's license information but refused to share insurance information. Now, more than a month later, I still have a damaged vehicle and have not received insurance information from Francis despite multiple phone calls, text messages, and outreach from Mercury Insurance. I trusted this shop to take care of my car, not return it to me in worse condition and leave me responsible for a $500 deductible. What has been most disappointing is the lack of accountability and urgency. Francis acted as though this situation was not a major concern and repeatedly assured me that the other driver would "take care of it," which has not happened. According to the other driver, Francis even asked him to change the story about what happened. I chose this business because of its strong reviews and the image Francis presents, but my experience has been extremely stressful and disappointing. I believe customers deserve honesty, transparency, and responsibility when their vehicle is in someone else's care.

I want to another shop and they told me there might be an issue with wire and that I'd have to drop off my car for at least 2 days to inspect as my headlight is a complex model and has a lot of wires and it would take them a while to figure out which wire is the problem. Then I went to Alex's Auto Repair. They found the issue the same day I drop off the car and also fixed the issue with fractions of costs that any other shop quoted. The issue was simple, which was the burnt fuse. Martin and Josh are great. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody who has auto-related issues.

They took the time to explain the repair, confirmed the diagnostic code, and even pointed out a few things I should do to help my Prius last longer. They noticed my hybrid battery cooling fan was missing after I told them I just had it "replaced" at another shop. That's the kind of information you don't usually get from a repair shop. They ended up not needing to drop the subframe, so they adjusted the labor instead of charging me for work they didn't have to do. It still took the amount of time they said it was going to take, but still discounted me a little bit which I thought was cool. I also had them do an oil change while it was there, and even that was less expensive than what I normally pay at places like Jiffy Lube or Valvoline. If you own a Prius or any hybrid, I'd definitely recommend checking them out. More than anything, I left feeling like they genuinely know these cars and took the time to educate me, not just fix it. I'll definitely be bringing my Prius back if I ever need anything else.

However, the dealership quoted me a very high labor cost and required me to leave my car overnight due to their busy schedule. After doing some research, I found Action Auto in Cypress and spoke with Mark. From the very first phone call, Mark was friendly, professional, and transparent. Best of all, his quote was about half the price of what the dealership wanted to charge. The convenience was a huge bonus. They told me I could bring my car in anytime between 8am-5pm (and even Sundays 8am-3pm). I dropped off my car at 8:30am, and it was ready by lunchtime the same day. Thankfully, while we were on our way to buy the part, Mr. Veraj called us to let us know we actually only needed a simple connector which cost us less than $25 instead. He then lowered the cost of his labor he'd quoted since it would be a simpler fix as well. He was very friendly, helpful and fair. We would definitely recommend him to friends and family. The shop is also conveniently located just a block from downtown Fullerton. Lots of parking and space for the tow truck to drop off a vehicle.
