(2013 Volkswagen Golf) I sincerely can't recommend this place enough! Curtis and Kirk are so professional, responsive, and don't upcharge customers. I phoned them to book an appointment for an oil leak inspection (I got their voicemail, but someone called me back within 10-15 min) and was booked about two weeks out. So just a heads up they're busy! Since I'd purchased the used car only a few months back, they did a courtesy overall inspection of the car and helped me decide what to fix, what could wait, etc based on my budget and effects on car performance. When I dropped the car off, I watched one of them fix a window issue within 5 minutes before I'd even left. Even though I'd only originally dropped it off for an oil leak inspection, after they called to report back on what needed to be done, they were able to replace the axels and the cooling system on my car and still have it ready by 5pm SAME DAY. Also hundreds of dollars less expensive than I was quoted for these repairs by the VW dealership in Dublin. All in all, would highly recommend this place. I recently had my car towed to eurotech after having roadside, engine trouble. They diagnosed the problem quickly, honestly and efficiently. Long story short, the engine is basically beyond repair and not drivable. Long story short, I'm trying to sell the car, don't have the title and have to wait to get it. To avoid the cost of another tow, I asked Eurotech if I can keep the car there a couple of weeks until I can arrange a sale of the car and pick up. Their answer was yes, and that is the reason for my review. I have a lot going on with work, the Holidays, two kids to care for, and weekly trips to Sacramento where dealing with another tow is just something I don't want to deal with. Their kindness and empathy in this matter means a great deal. They could have easily told me no, and sent me on my way. Was excited to have found a place less costly than the Porsche dealer for basic stuff like oil changes. I always take a pic of my odometer before any service to keep an eye on the mileage. When I picked my car up it was very clear they decided to take it for a joy ride bc there were 4 extra miles on it. This was just an oil change. Really pissed me off so I said something and the guy looked a bit frazzled and he said- "Oh...uh we always do that to make sure the oil isn't leaking anywhere".. I've heard of letting the car idle for a bit to check but I have never heard such an absurd BS answer in my life. This was a basic oil change! Can you imagine Jiffy Lube driving everyone's cars for 4 miles after an oil change? Lol Anyway, I won't be going back to this place ever again and don't recommend you do either. read more

It seems odd to write a review for a company that I didn't actually pay for a service, but let me explain. I brought in a 2009 Mini Cooper that was overheating, and had an issue with losing oil. This is my first German car, and I didn't know what to expect. They raised the car up, did an oil service, then saw the undercarriage damage that my son had inflicted under the front of the car by the radiator, which they couldn't fix (needed a collision service). They described to me everything they saw and told me what I needed to get done. As he's handing over the keys, I asked about paying for the diagnostic (not to mention fresh oil) and he said Nah. I'm very impressed at how they do business, and I'll be sure to bring the car back here for future work within their scope. Integrity in this business cannot be overvalued. read more

They cannot fix my car saying that they cannot do SCN coded for the steering column module but has n0 problems charging me $150 for running diagnostic. It was a waste of time and money for me. I wish they would be honest and upfront. read more

Haven't realized that I have been using the services of this shop for well over 11 years. In that time, they have serviced my 2002 GTI 1.8T, 2015 VW Golf Wagon, and 2019 VW Golf Alltrack. German cars, in my opinion, are fantastic to drive, but they can also have a personality, sometimes a mind of their own. Eurotech has been able to accommodate all the regular maintenance items as well as being available on short notice to repair unexpected issues as well. I had the misfortune of having a rodent decide it was a good idea to sleep in the engine compartment and then decide it was an even better idea to jump into the accessory belt pulley. Was able to schedule the repair with Matt & Curtis within a day, and while my furry friend has long departed, the car is still going strong. read more

I took my 2009 E90 to this local shop based on prior reviews and I feel that they took advantage of a female taking her car in for an oil change. I always take my car all the way to Wolfgang's in Walnut Creek but I decided to give this local shop a try since it is nearby for a simple oil change. I had my wife do it since I didn't have the time. She called and scheduled the appt for Friday, we dropped it off the night before to have the oil change done in the morning. I think the first mistake was scheduling the appt over the phone and not going in person to develop that in person relationship. I also did not ask for the price of the oil change. Mistake #2. She picked it up the next day and showed me the bill. I was concerned because it said that they changed the oil with 5W 30 oil and charged me for 8 quarts. I had to assume that they used Synthetic oil because it didn't say so on the bill ( bill attached for reference ) I was left wondering if they did.....There was also a $10 additive fee. Which I thought to myself, this car doesn't have over 100,000 miles, why would they need to put an additive and also what kind of additive ? Call me Anal but as a car enthusiast who loves BMW's we all know Euro cars are very special and we are very particular about what is put into it. They are not cheap cars. I am not a penny pincher by any means but I know I can take my car to the dealer and get an oil change for less than $100 they always have oil change service specials. Check out East Bay BMW's website. ( I attached a picture for reference. ) So I decided to call and find out : 1) If they used Synthetic Oil.... 2) What additive if any they put in it 3) if it is normal to charge $130 for an oil change. I didn't get the name of the person I spoke to but he said they they did use Synthetic Oil. He said that it says on the bill they added an additive and charged me $10 for it but that is a generic oil change price so they just put that on the bill ? He kind of fumbled on the answer to that one. And they do normally charge $130 for an oil change since they look over the vehicle and top up fluids. I then asked if it would make sense for me to take my car to the dealership for an oil change since it is much cheaper and his response was " There you go " and we ended the call. I think he may have hung up. I didn't want to bother asking why they charge for 8 quarts of oil but my car only takes 6.5 quarts. All in all I guess gaining the loyalty of a local customer is not what this shop is about. I was trying to find the guys that others reviewed about at this shop. Like the guy that may clear up the fog on my headlights but I guess he may not work there anymore because they never offered me that service. I have two BMW's that I will be taking both to WOLFGANG's FOREIGN CAR service in Walnut Creek after getting mixed answers about a simple oil change. They are honest and have been a family owned business for many years. The 2 Stars are for them accomodating the oil change and actually getting it done without screwing anything up. My main concern is the price gouging because a female took the car in for service without asking the right questions. There were also recommendations to fix oil leaks etc but I felt the prices were not reasonable. I guess it depends who you are and what day of the week you take your car in for service because most of these Five Star reviews were probably posted by their friends or family. read more

We had a rare battery/locked out of trunk car issue. Matt tried to help us over the phone, so nice of him! I let them know the next day that jumping the car still didn't resolve my horrible mistake. My car was dead in my garage, Curt offered to come over to check it for me. I was shocked, unbelievable customer service! My issue was very rare and not a normal issue, but Curt's knowledge, skills, and persistence was able to get it fixed and resolved. I can't thank him enough, definitely recommend this shop to anyone and everyone! On a side note, multiple calls to the dealer and still have not made contact with anyone there! I should probably give them a review too but this one is more important as far as I am concerned. I'm happy and hope I never have to take my car to the dealer ever! I have brought my car here since moving to Livermore. Having an aging car means maintenance. Matt has always been fair and concise in my repairs. Albeit expensive, he has always taken care of me in reasonable time. One time I had a rear shock come off its mount due to a worn bushing and he repaired it at no charge. I couldn't have been happier. I take my car nowhere else for service.These are the only guys I trust. Sometimes its expensive but we bought exotic cars what do we expect? Called them about my 01 jetta vr6 needing timing chains. I brought the car in on a tow truck as to not damage the motor any further. The mechanic Josh listened to the engine start and agreed it was the timing chains and he would be doing the work, and told me he used to do them all the time which was very reassuring. Josh dialed this car in! When they called me 3 days later . This was a big job. They said are you ready to pick up youre prius ? I thought i dropped off a jetta ! They said well its as quiet as a prius now lol They quoted me a price and when the work was done it was actually a little less than I anticipated. Competent, fair, friendly & local. Happy to have a local shop to bring my '06 Beetle to as an alternative to the Dublin dealership. The whole staff was polite and friendly. Curt (Kurt?) was especially funny when calling to let us know that both eyes were working and the Lasik surgery went well (headlights now fully operational!). We brought it in on Monday and didn't expect it until Tuesday however Monday evening before they closed they gave us an update. They even washed the car before we picked it up. Thankfully our headlamps issue was not electrical, but another unique German engineering design hiccup like our never-opens on the first lock release boot and roll up the window only to have it roll down automatically issue. The work was great and the rates were very fair. Once we get past the wallet-drain of the holidays, I look forward to bringing our car back to see if they can crack the code of aforementioned car quirks which the dealership in Dublin has not been able to resolve in 4 visits and several hundred dollars. 10 stars and more!! Fixed my M3 for good! I can't praise these guys enough, several years ago I took my e46 M3 in to get smogged and to my surprise it didn't pass. I took it into multiple shops who drained me of thousands of dollars just to try and "figure" out what was wrong. All seemed very fishy so I decided to go to the BMW dealership in Pleasanton thinking they would be honest and professional. Unfortunately it was the complete opposite, I had a horrible experience and gave up hope. The car sat for 2 years and I bought a new car. Fast forward to a couple months ago and this is where I hear about EUROTECH, at first I was skeptical thinking it would be like every other shop. From the moment I called to the moment I checked out it was nothing short of amazing! I spoke to Carlos and explained my situation and by the end of the call he already had a game plan for me. He called me a day later and explained they ran some tests and double checked and triple checked, it seemed to be my O2 sensors. So they installed new ones threw in a new battery and even offered to set the ECU which on a BMW is a pain and then on top of that even SMOGGED my car themselves!!! I mean I don't even get that kind of service at a 5 star restaurant. Long story short these guys care and it shows, if you are feeling skeptical don't worry you can really trust these guys. I have a 2007 BMW 328i. After getting totally scammed and ripped off at BMW east bay, I drove my car straight to Eurotech. To fix the actual problem of why I had taken my car to BMW in the first place. I had called the day prior, and the gentlemen I talked to on the phone was very accommodating and quoted me a great price (significantly more reasonable than the dealership). When I arrived to Eurotech a few days after I had spoke with them, I was greeted by Carols. He was very friendly and very helpful/understanding of my situation. They were pretty busy, and I did not have an appointment. He said that they would work on my car as soon as they could (Friday-Monday). Carlos called me Monday to let me know that they had checked out the car, and that they would begin working on it that day. He also sent me pictures of my CLEAN oil pan with no leaks... Which BMW east bay lied about having a leak. He said my car should be done by Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest. They finished it Tuesday afternoon! They even came and picked me up so I didn't have to wait another day to come and get it! I was very pleased with this shops honestly, courtesy, communication, and customer service. Poor customer service and overpriced. My Mercedes wouldn't start so I called to see in u could tow it to them to see what was wrong. The response was "you can, but we won't be able to look at until next Friday!" (1week) Carlos was short and unaccommodating. Do they have so much business that they can't help? Previously, I brought my Mercedes in for a new battery after bringing my car here several times before since they are local. The quote was inflated by $300 so I went somewhere else. No urgency or care for the customer being inconvenienced. It's very obvious. My car sat (finished with the repair, both times) until I called after hearing from no one. - Horrible customer service; I worked with Carlos who was sarcastic answering my basic questions, lacked basic manners and treated me as if he was doing me a favor by servicing my BMW. - Prices do not warrant the poor service. I live too far away from Livermore to take my Volkswagons to Eurotech but that doesn't mean they don't still help me every time. I have a new Pasat that is in excellent condition and rarely needs anything but I have a nasty addiction to Vanagons. Like most European autos, the vanagon can be a crap shoot when it comes to trouble-shooting issues. I'll take it into my local mechanic and there approach is to usually just want to replace entire systems because (in my opinion) they don't have the knowledge to truly diagnose the smaller issues. So I call the guys at Eurotech, tell them the symptoms and they typically recommend little things I can have fixed that won't cost much and will help diagnose any bigger issues. These guys really know European autos and they genuinely strive to fix only what needs to be fixed. A good mechanic does not need to replace entire systems unless something catastrophic has happened. Eurotech has always aimed to advise me how to spend the least amount of money to keep my vanagon running tip top. read more

Eurotech has worked on various problems that have popped up on my high-miles '94 BMW for years. I have found them to be extremely honest, professional, and committed to getting me back on the road with quality repairs and service. My only complaint, and it's so minor I am almost loath to bring it up, the area where they park cars outside is under tree limbs so my car gets tree droppings and pitch spots on it.
