They are money-hungry thieves without a gun! DO NOT take your car to them. Their prices are INCONSISTENT, no CUSTOMER aftercare/service, after getting your car fixed by them. Fritz seems more reasonable but his partner is a total THIEF! They claim they're busy, meanwhile when you go to the shop, the emplyees are not even fixing cars, hence the "overload". The partner also yelled out, "boys, we got lunch money" when I was quoted a ridiculous price - SHADY!!!! Good thing I took it to another mechanic and paid hundreds of dollars less AND with BMW parts. I spent over $3,000 on a previous repair, told me that I needed other works, costing $1300. Got an oil change and a month later, the oil was LOW. They wouldn't take responsibility what so ever, telling me that I had to PAY to add 1 quart of engine oil. REALLY?!?! I would give them a NEGATIVE rating if it was available. read more

This mechanic is the reason people don't believe mechanics. I brought my car to him in the summer because my window did not go all the way up; Nissan told me it was the motor that was broken. I told him this but I asked that he check because it was a good idea for him to do a double check of what was wrong, right? The water pump was also broken or something happened to it because it stopped working months earlier. So I asked him to check that out too. When he calls me to tell me the estimate, he tells me about $750 for everything, which was steep but I was working an extra job this summer for this very reason; to cover my car expenses and finish paying off my car, which I did! After about a week or maybe two, the window again would no go back up. Needless to say I was very angry because I had already paid for it to be fixed and now I had to bring it in again. I hoped, however, that since he had already worked on the window and he needed to guarantee his job, he wouldn't charge extra for anything he needed to do because it was his job to correct any mistakes or oversights he had made. Wrong. This time, I also found that my AC would not turn off so I asked him to fix that. He charged me an additional $150-180 because this time he said it was something else related to the window and because I had first told him it was the motor, that's what he fixed. He told me someone had spliced the wire but now it was fixed for a small fee of $150-180. I didn't protest because I just wanted the car fixed. All in all, I ended up paying about $480 the second time I brought my car. Now it is about a month later and when I turn on my AC it makes a rattling noise and it won't go away. I call him first and he tells me to bring it in. I do, he listens to the rattling, and he said he will "take a look". But he insists that maybe something fell into the vent and that is what is making the noise. I only use my car to go to work and I have a 20 minute commute. I am the only one that drives my car, so I would know if something fell in. I tell him this and she reassures me he will "take a look". He also adds, "The sound is the fan working". To which I respond, "That can't be because it has never ever made that sound once, since I bought my car". Again he says, "Ok, we will take a look". He calls me later in the day and says, "It's fine, we turned the AC on and it didn't make any noise, I can't do more than because it involves a lot of work and time". So why did he keep my car? I had to pay for a cab to get to work that morning AND to return to pick up my car in the afternoon for nothing. When I get back to the shop in the afternoon, he gives me the same speech, "Something must have fallen in". I told him that if I heard the noise again I would bring it back. I got in my car this morning turned on the heater and there was that dreadful noise again. Now I'm highly upset because there is no way I am brining my car back to this DISHONEST mechanic so now I have to find an actual reliable mechanic which is clearly hard to do, and I have to spend more money trying to figure out what the issue is. As a teacher, it took me sometime to pay off my car, which I did WITH MY SECOND JOB that I also used to pay for the repairs on my car that his mechanic charged me TWICE for. I came to Eurotech, looking for an auto shop that services german cars in Queens to save on required maintenance from the dealer. I chose it simply based on reviews here and Google with no referrals. I was in and out of the shop in no time having spoken to the manager in am as I dropped off my car and picked it back up in early PM. I only made an honest & upfront review on my experience & never once was my review based upon anything other than first hand knowledge & nothing on any past experiences anywhere but as a matter of fact come to think of it I've owned cars & trucks as well as motorcycles etc ageing from the 1970's till present day.some new some used & even brand new under factory warranty I've always done my own work with the exception of oil changes & tire changes/replacement because to by oil & filter then have to return the oil to a store that's always a pain in the a$$ it's actually cheaper to have a place do it not to mention they check everything & top off fluids for around $30 & for me to go buy 5 quarts of oil & a filter of any decent brand will run at best $25 so do the math & tires are a givin... Other then to rotate (which some places will include in an oil change) or to plug a leak there isn't much anyone other then a shop with the tire change machine as well as a blancer can do but all else I've always done myself so once again my review was not based on anything other then my experience walking into there shop...& the review is nothing more but my honest experience of what happened & anyone is free to make there own opinions & reviews from there experiences but I'm not stateing anything outta past bad experiences elsewhere if so that's where my review would be & not here... read more

I was referred to Eurotech by a friend when I needed a good garage in the NYC area specializing in European cars. They looked at a car I had found on Craig's List and was looking to buy: within 15 minutes they determined it had been in a major wreck and put back together with serious heat and pressure that made the frame unreliable. They saved me from buying a sure lemon. Then I asked if they could find me that make and model car, since I knew they routinely bought cars at auction for resale. Within a few weeks they had, and I bought it. But then in driving back upstate, where I live, I noticed that particularly rough roads made the suspension seem broken, leading to an unduly rough ride. I took it to a local authorized dealer for that make of car, who painted a dire picture indeed: the rear springs were broken, the front suspension shot and the left front brake pad down to almost nothing - all of which would have cost several thousand dollars to fix. So I called Eurotech. They said no way could that be the case but to bring it in and they would fix anything that needed fixing. I did, and they showed me, in a way that I could see with my own eyes was correct, that the dealer's dire diagnosis was patently wrong. And when they took a ride with me on a rough road, to reproduce what I had felt, they diagnosed it as worn stabilizer bars, which were peculiar to this car - something the dealer had not even mentioned. They showed me, too, with a ruler, that the brake pad was more than adequate. So they made some adjustments and put in new stabilizer bars, after which the car handled rough roads just fine, and so my problem was completely resolved, at no cost to me. That is, Eurotech stood solidly behind their work (even where not required by the NYS standard warranty they had given me) whereas the authorized dealer, in contrast, had tried to cheat me! My conclusion? The Eurotech owners are exceptional in their competency, their expertise and their honesty. Those all-too-scarce characteristics are rare in today's world, and I value them highly. Be very carefull with this shop. My sister inlaw took her car in for annual inspection ($37)but had her check engine light on. We were already aware of the check engine light being on because of a faulty gas cap ($40). The brake light warning on dash was on cause she didnt put a new sensor last time she changed the brakes($25). total should have been $200-$250 for everything to be taken care of which would include the labor, right? Wrong! After leaving the car with the shop she gets a call the next day telling her they cant do inspection because the have to correct a safety issue on the front end controls arms or something to that nature. Her total will be over $1100. Ofcourse I told her to get her car out of there fast. We went to pick up and he gives back car with Telling me that the rubber bushing were wearing down and should be changed before its metal on metal. We said thanks but no thanks. He then gives a bill for $120 for failed inspection and diagnostic test. We gladly paid for the show he put on and ran. Needless to say I took her to a mechanic I trust and he did the inspection after we got the new gas cap and reset the computer. Checked the parts last mechanic said needed to be changed and said he was trying to take her for a ride just as I suspected. I give two stars cause one is the minimum and second for the shop looking like they can actually do work if your car actually needs it and he put on a good show. So be carefull! read more
