Your staff did everything imaginable to help me recover the phone, including driving me back to the train station where I'd last used it. In luck, I got it back. Throughout the process, everyone was compassionate and understanding. When returning the car, we got a friendly welcome, and congenial conversation with the area manager and office manager, who again offered to drive us to the station where we were headed.

They renting of the vehicle was pretty straightforward except for the vehicle we reserved was told us that it would not be available for one hour just before they, all of a sudden, had a vehicle at the train station. But if this didn't raise flags, at dropoff a woman pointed to a streak of dirt on the under carriage and wrote it down that we damaged the vehicle. We wiped area and took a photo. ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE occurred to this vehicle during our rental. Yet, they charged us an additional $100 for damage. Poor service. Shame on Enterprise. We will never use a rental from Enterprise ever again.

If a stone hits your windshield just from normal driving they will charge you for it. No fault of your own. Trucks kick up stones that chip windshields all the time. So I was charged a huge amount of money for something I had no control over. In the US rental car companies check at what's your fault and not. In the UK I guess Hertz wants to saddle the consumer with all risk. So it's not worth it. Plus I ordered and confirmed an automatic but the reservation was somehow changed into a manual? Hmmm? But either way if you rent a car with Hertz your risking a lot. Unless you bubble wrap your car and park it in a garage your taking your trip and your finances into chance.

York's not exactly a big city, but it was big and daunting enough under the circumstances--and such that I timed the rental to be before rush hour on either end (this location doesn't open until 8 and I wanted to get the hell out of dodge at least an hour before then). CONs: 1. very expensive. the list price of the car i chose is £455. but my initial payment ended up being £906£. thats double. -there is a "set up fee" which i don't understand what it is for. -delivery charge of £60 -insurance of £180 then at the end there is a "collection charge" of £183. why is that 3 times the price of delivery? 2. they delivered the car with soiled rear seats. the whole rear row was stained. with debris in the crevices and the seatbelt and seatbelt holders. this was acknowledged by the the delivery driver. 3. they charge you for existing damage to the car. at the end of the lease - they billed me for damages to the alloys and the soiled seats. its a good thing i took pictures of the damages to the car so i contested the claims. i even emailed in the beginning to express my disappointment about the soiled seats, and they replied to it - that to get it cleaned myself and they will supposedly refund the cost. i did get it cleaned but the stains were too much to get off by the detailer. 4. the air conditioning does not get cold. this summer gets pretty hot - but the AC does not work. this means the vehicle was not fully checked. i reported this and they told me they are accredited with kwik fit - but that means that is time i am without a car, getting the rental car fixed when i rented the car because i need a vehicle. 5. they do not accept credit cards. they ask for a direct deposit and bank transfer. which is very inconvenient and prone to scams and unsafe for your bank account. I was rushing to rent a car and did not have time to look around. I wish I had read the reviews online as I now see a lot of negative reviews with similar experiences as mine.

They quoted me just over £1000 for repair work which wasn't even on the inspection report at hand over. £400 to replace a tiny chip on the window outside the driver view less than 4 mm in size! other charges for damage which I believe they have intentionally caused to justify charging the customer extortionate amounts! they was happy to drop £360 pound of the "repair work" if I just accept it. not to mention they refused to show any of this so called repair work. they forced me to change car as the previous car was leaving stock which ended up being £190 extra just for delivery. On top of all that after I returned my second car after 4 weeks of renting it they decided to charge me a whole month extra £503... for having the car one extra day even though I offered for them to pick it up on the last day of the rental period, they agreed but changed their mind two days before saying they had no one available. £503 for having the car for one day.. beyond a joke and they thought this was acceptable. now they are ignoring my calls and emails I have given them untill Friday 14th or I will seek legal action. Please avoid it's not worth the stress to have any dealings with this company
