They did the entire fabrication on the last two homes I have built in Fountain Hills, AZ. Great workmanship, attention to detail.

So.....I looked out my window, and saw a dead bird on my patio roof. Figured I would head out…read morethere to bag it up and throw it away. While I was out there, I wasn't paying attention and stepped right in the center of one of my roof tiles. CRACK! While up there, I noticed a couple other tiles had cracks in them, too, so I decided I wanted to replace them. Looked up a few places on the internet and settled on RWC. Drove down there Saturday morning to get my tiles. I arrived, and parked in the lot. First time there, not knowing what to do, or where to go, I saw a sign on their front door that said "Roof tiles, please see outside customer service" with an arrow pointing to the right. First of all, THANK YOU for that sign. It is straight to the point, and tells you where to go without having to find an employee or wait around or whatever. I started walking around the side to look for "outside customer service" and this guy pulls up right next to me on a golf cart and says, "Hop in buddy". Score! I tell him what I'm looking for and he drives me to the area to find my tiles. (Side note....this place is HUGE! Like 2 city blocks big, probably) We looked at a few and tried to match them up, but they weren't an exact fit. Right away, after looking in 2 different places, he knew exactly where to go, next. We found a couple of pallets of the exact tiles that I needed! He grabbed my tiles (6 of them), put them in the back of the golf cart and drove me back to my car. I unloaded the tiles into my trunk, he wrote up a ticket and I took it inside to pay. Once inside, there was one guy helping someone else so I stood in line. Not less than 30 seconds later, a lady got up from her desk and approached the counter to help me. She could have just sat there and waited for the one cashier/employee to finish helping the one customer and take me next, but she took the initiative to get up and help me out. I handed her my slip, paid her my money, and was on my way. The whole process of getting out of my car to getting my tiles, and back in my car was maybe 15 minutes...maybe! It was extremely quick and efficient! Between the guy who took me on the golf cart, to the front desk help, this was seriously the best customer service I have received IN A LONG TIME from ANYWHERE! If I ever need to get any kind of roofing or tile supplies, this is the spot that I will return to. They have an infinite selection (the golf cart guy told me that they have some tiles from way back in the 40s and 50s. If you need any kind of tile, I bet they have it here!) of items, and the prices were fair ($8.98 per roof tile...not sure if that is a good price or not, but to match an older tile (house built in 2005), to exact specifics, and have it available without a special order, is worth its weight in gold!). I had a GREAT experience here and was surprised on how quick and easy the whole process was. Didn't get the peoples names that helped me out, but whoever you were, I sincerely thank you! Both of you were awesome and made me weekend! Keep up the GREAT customer service!

I will start this review by qualifying its authenticity. I never trust any review giving a 5/5 to…read morea busines. Sounds fake or contrived. I was born in this state and love this city. I cannot give a supportive score to RWC Building Products because I never would have cared to provide any evaluation at all, until they gave me a "Shake Down" letter like Yelp participants C M. (2020) or Jason C. (2011). I did have a good experience with their delivery crew and an even better one with my Roof Repair Company. Then, as a big "gotcha" , RWC delivered to me ( Certified Mail ) an Arizona Preliminary Twenty Day Lien Notice. WTF ! The roof repair to my house was only completed 14 days ago, and apparently the roof repair company owner still has till the end of the month (14 days from now!) to pay RWC. I was assured by Yolanda and Mark at RWC that it was just a form letter they send out to everyone. I call BS and "Shame on You" William G. (busines manager). Thanks for sending out the warm vibes to hard working home owners. I don't know how many other Building Product Companies there are in Phoenix, but Yelp Readers should find one that acts less like Tony Soprano and more like Bill Gates. RWC's 3.6 Yelp Review just dropped again. I'll give them 20 days to bring it up ?

It has been many years since I have gone into Heldt. My last time, the front was filled with old…read moremen who were very rude in a number of different ways-even nasty remarks about women. I said I would never good into such a backward place again. It was a throwback to the gold old boy attitudes of the 50's. Day before yesterday I needed a piece of wood that was 14" by 22". I was prepared to make another trip to Home Depot. For some reason I thought of Heldt which is just a few minutes from my home. I decided it might be time to try and be open-minded and go there. It was a better experience. The men in the back worked with me to find a quality of material that would meet my needs then cut it to my specifications. It was a positive experience all the way around. One thing to remember is this is a lumber yard, not a Home Depot. I did have to do some asking to find where I needed to go and to get help in the back. I could accept that. It went pretty quickly and the price was reasonable.

I find it hard to understand how a company that is looking to sell their product would have…read morecustomer service people that don't seem to have an interest to help. I contacted Heldt Lumber and spoke with an individual name Chris. Communicating with Chris felt as though I was interrupting his day, his lack of experience, detail and interest in communicating was unlike anything I've ever experienced in construction in the last 45 years. I would give this company zero stars and would not contact them in the future.

This is a follow up to my initial review. It is with…read morepleasure that I recommend Phoenix Pavers. We ordered pavers from this company in March of 2017. They were installed by a company that we had hired. Over the course of the past year, we were having problems with severe effluence, which looked like snow on the patio. We called the company and, Carl, the owner promptly came to evaluate. He then notified, John, his quality control manager to assess the situation. John inspected the pavers and felt that there was a treatment that could correct the problem. He was planning to set up an appointment for this service. During the ensuing time, the company was receiving similar complaints from other customers that were traced to this particular lot. The next time that John came to speak with us, he apprised us that an ingredient had been left out during the manufacturing process. This ingredient affected effluence. Now, if there are problems with pavers you have purchased, the retailer will usually offer a replacement of the pavers only. This was not the case with Phoenix Paver. They offered to remove and replace the pavers at considerable expense to the company. We had the option of using our installer or theirs. We chose their installers and they did an excellent job. This company considers providing excellent customer service a priority. I would not hesitate to use Phoenix Paver again.
