Finally when they started working on it, they were slower than molasses flowing uphill in the winter. Then all the trash talk made me think I was at a demoncrat convention. Only later I found that they put 8 quarts of oil in my car that should only hold 6 quarts. That means either they didn't drain all the old oil out or they lack the mathematical skill to know the difference between 6 and 8. I don't know where their malfunction lies, but I am never taking my car to any so-called Express Oil Change ever again. I would also caution everyone else to stay away from there as well. I am just glad I didn't get new tires there. They might have tried to put 12 tires on it... Update - 30 seconds after posting this review... Almost immediately, an automated reply appeared after this review. Nobody there reads any of the reviews. It is just a generic message - "Sorry for our horrible service. Contact support if you want to waste even more time". If I can reach so much as one other person and have them stay away from Express Oil Change, I will have succeeded. Unlike Express Oil Change, I prefer to be honest and help people as much as I can instead of take the money and run. I would like to see if a real human will reply to my review. I am very certain nobody ever will! I simply want to know how they can be so incompetent. It is not just with my car either. Continue to read other negative comments...

ATL Total Car Care

****NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE**** Summary (if you don't want to…read moreread the full story): My car came back with TWO NEW ISSUES after I spent over $3,000 with this shop, and the ORIGINAL ISSUE was never resolved. When I brought it back, they refused to fix any of it unless I paid even more money -- for problems that appeared immediately after I picked up my vehicle from them. The Diagnostic: I brought my car in because of a loud noise that happened at certain speeds. They said they'd need to run a full diagnostic to identify it, which seemed reasonable, so I left the car with them. Two days later, they called with their findings: my REAR DIFFERENTIAL was bad and needed to be fully replaced. They also gave me a list of "maintenance suggestions" and separately flagged that my FLEX EXHAUST PIPE was broken and needed replacing too. The total estimate with everything included came to $3,742.68. The Repair Decision: I declined all of the maintenance suggestions and authorized only two repairs: FLEX EXHAUST PIPE replacement -- $305.09 REAR DIFFERENTIAL replacement -- $2,484.38 That came out to roughly $3,000 after tax. Picking Up the Car: New Problems, Immediately When I arrived to pick up the car, it was parked out front. The moment I started it, there was a NEW NOISE -- loud, consistent, and awful metal on metal clicking noise for about 20 seconds. I was concerned, but told myself it might just be the new parts settling in. Driving away, I quickly realized: The ORIGINAL NOISE I brought the car in for was still there. There was now an insane NEW EXHAUST SMELL inside the cabin (that now happens every time I start the car). So: two brand-new issues, and the original problem still unresolved -- after paying over $3,000. I gave it a few more days, hoping it would resolve on its own as the parts settled in. It didn't. The new noise, the new smell, and the original noise were all still there. Follow-Up Visit with David: I called the shop, and CHRIS (the owner) told me to bring the car back in for a diagnostic. When I arrived, DAVID (the senior advisor) was the one who met with me. I explained what Chris had told me and described both the new noise and the fact that the original issue was never fixed -- despite having just spent $3,000. I showed David a video of the new startup noise and told him about the new exhaust smell. He offered a few guesses as to the cause, including that it might be related to the FLEX EXHAUST PIPE they had just replaced. We went on a test drive together, and David immediately said, "I hear the noise" -- referring to the original noise that the $2,400+ REAR DIFFERENTIAL replacement was supposed to have fixed. He asked me to drop the car off the following Monday, since I couldn't leave it that day. Second Drop-Off: Still No Resolution I dropped the car off Monday. The next day, David called and told me: They could not replicate the new startup noise. The new smell was likely caused by an exhaust leak from the FLEX EXHAUST PIPE -- the part they had replaced. They didn't know what was causing the original noise issue while driving, and suggested I take it to Discount Tire to have them look into something tire-related. Despite the fact that the ~$2,400 REAR DIFFERENTIAL replacement was supposed to fix that exact issue. At this point, I was furious. I asked David directly if they could just fix these problems, since I'd already spent over $3,000 and was left with the original issue plus two new ones that didn't exist before they touched my car. His answer: they didn't know what was causing the original noise, and diagnosing the new startup noise would take about 4 hours of paid diagnostic time -- on top of everything I'd already paid. I told them I was picking up my car. When I did, the "new noise" David claimed he couldn't replicate was right there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

They directed me toward a bay and once the previous customer left they directed me into the bay. I selected a service level, type, and grade of oil. The technicians worked as a team between the two operating bays. The entire process was about 20 minutes. The services were rung up and discounts applied. Cost was competitive with my normal shop. I would use this shop again.

The same man that brought me the water asked me to open the hood before pulling in so he could check something. No issues there, except the fact he left the hood open before walking back to the oil bay to direct me in. My truck will not shift to drive when the hood is open... instead of rushing back over to close the hood, 2 employees stood and stared as I got out closed the hood and proceeded in. No mention was made of the hood incident once I pulled in. In fact, no mention of anything, 2 employees stood and talked amongst themselves while 1 worked underneath. I sat and waited for 20 until someone came back over to talk to me. I would expect a, "sorry, it's been a hectic morning" or really anything other than the wassup I was greeted with. My finally straw before leaving was the IDK I got when I asked how long an oil change may take. I did not feel comfortable letting them work on my vehicle. I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but this issue was deeper than "just having a bad morning". This is a direct reflection of the mis-management of this location. Respectfully, do better.

Unfortunately, the repairs were too extensive, as well as expensive for us to take on. However, Tom was incredibly helpful during the entire process. He kept us updated and informed on the best way to move forward, specifically since we were dealing with this from a different city. He made me feel like we were in trusted hands and even helped us out by clearing our things from our car before it got towed away. Even in a not so great situation, Tom made things much easier for us, and we greatly appreciate him!

I would strongly caution anyone considering bringing their vehicle to Christian Brothers Automotive…read morebased on my experience over multiple visits. I have a 2017 BMW and have brought it to this location repeatedly since February for ongoing cooling system issues. During that time, multiple components were replaced, including the radiator, hoses, water pump, and engine coolant outlet. Despite this, problems continued, and new issues developed immediately after repairs. Most recently, after cooling system work, my air conditioning stopped working properly. It would only blow slightly cool air while driving and would get warmer at idle -- a clear change from how it functioned before the repair. When I brought it back, I was told the A/C expansion valve needed to be replaced due to "high pressure." However, when I asked for actual pressure readings or any concrete diagnostic data to support that conclusion, none was provided. The explanation remained vague and was not backed by measurable values. I also asked whether airflow-related issues had been ruled out (such as the cooling fan or airflow across the condenser), given that the symptoms were worse at idle. Again, no clear or detailed answer was given. I specifically requested confirmation that the cooling system was vacuum filled and properly pressure tested after the prior repair. While I was told verbally that it was done, there was no documentation provided to verify it. A major concern throughout this process has been communication. When I sent detailed follow-up questions by email, they were not answered. Instead, I would receive a message that the vehicle was ready for pickup, without any of my questions being addressed. I also contacted the owner directly, as he has suggested in responses to other reviews, and did not receive any response. The only documentation provided after each visit was basic invoices listing parts replaced, with no meaningful technician notes, diagnostic detail, or recorded test data. For a vehicle with repeated and interconnected issues, this lack of transparency is a serious concern. While the car is currently operating normally after the latest repair, the pattern of repeated issues, unsupported diagnoses, and lack of communication made this a frustrating, expensive, and time-consuming experience. Based on my experience, I would not feel confident returning here for future repairs, especially for anything requiring detailed diagnostics. I would strongly recommend that others ask for clear diagnostic data and written confirmation of procedures before approving any work.
