EXPIRED FOOD, UNSANITARY HANDLING, AND EXTREMELY DISTURBING BEHAVIOR -- DO NOT SHOP HERE I had one of the most disturbing experiences I've ever had in a food store here. While ordering cold cuts, I asked for a packaged smoked chicken and packaged hot dogs. I briefly stepped away to grab something from the refrigerator. When I turned back around, I saw the employee behind the counter (a man with a large brown spot on his right cheek, possibly the owner) LICK HIS FINGER and start rubbing something off the packaging. Yes -- licking his finger and touching food packaging behind the counter. Alarmed, I immediately asked, "I hope this isn't expired and you're not removing the expiration date." I asked them to hand me the items, and sure enough both the hot dogs and the smoked chicken were EXPIRED. Instead of addressing the issue, the owner (who was standing right there) started arguing with me, claiming he was removing the price, not the expiration date. That explanation made absolutely no sense. Why would someone be scratching labels off packaged food behind the counter with their saliva-covered fingers? The entire situation was unsanitary, deceptive, and deeply concerning. Handling food after licking fingers, attempting to remove labeling from expired products, and then arguing with a customer instead of taking responsibility is beyond unacceptable. I later heard from someone whose husband worked there years ago that meats were sometimes washed with chemicals when they started going bad before being sold. If that is even partially true, it is extremely alarming. Between the expired food, the tampering with labels, and the disgusting hygiene practices, I strongly urge people to stay far away from this place. There are many other delis in the area that actually respect food safety and their customers. I will also be reporting this to the health department because no one should be served food handled like this. Zamawiałam wędliny i poprosiłam o pakowanego wędzonego kurczaka oraz pakowane hot dogi. Na chwilę odeszłam do lodówki, żeby coś jeszcze wziąć. Kiedy się odwróciłam, zobaczyłam pracownika za ladą (mężczyznę z dużą brązową plamą na prawym policzku, możliwe że właściciela), który POLIZAŁ PALCE i zaczął coś ścierać z opakowania produktu. Tak -- polizał palce i dotykał nimi opakowania jedzenia za ladą. Natychmiast zapaliła mi się lampka ostrzegawcza. Zapytałam: "Mam nadzieję, że to nie jest przeterminowane i że nie usuwacie daty ważności?" Poprosiłam, żeby dali mi te produkty do ręki. Okazało się, że zarówno hot dogi, jak i wędzony kurczak były PRZETERMINOWANE. Zamiast przeprosić lub rozwiązać sytuację, właścicielka (która stała tam obok) zaczęła się ze mną kłócić, twierdząc, że pracownik usuwał cenę, a nie datę ważności. To absolutnie nie ma sensu. Dlaczego ktoś miałby zdrapywać etykietę z opakowania jedzenia za ladą, używając palców polizanych śliną? Cała sytuacja była niehigieniczna, podejrzana i bardzo niepokojąca. Obsługiwanie jedzenia po lizaniu palców, próby usuwania oznaczeń z przeterminowanych produktów i następnie kłócenie się z klientem zamiast wziąć odpowiedzialność jest całkowicie niedopuszczalne. Później dowiedziałam się od znajomej, której mąż pracował tam wiele lat temu, że mięso czasami było myte chemikaliami, kiedy zaczynało się psuć, żeby dalej je sprzedawać. Jeśli to choć w części prawda, jest to niezwykle niepokojące. Między przeterminowaną żywnością, manipulowaniem etykietami i obrzydliwymi praktykami higienicznymi, zdecydowanie ostrzegam wszystkich przed robieniem tu zakupów. W okolicy jest wiele innych delikatesów, które dbają o bezpieczeństwo żywności i szanują swoich klientów. The Euro Deli in Copiague is a gem. Their potato pierogis took me back to my childhood and how my grandmother made them years ago! The babka and kielbasa....so fresh and delicious. Waited a 1/2 an hour yesterday to get inside. How far would it get served. This place is the bomb the Polish food.Small deli doesn't look like much but once you're inside. We were standing in line with Someone that was From Poland. She is a special needs teacher at P.S. 034 John Harvard she was teaching in queens village where I grew up. Once inside we had To walk the gauntlet to the back of the store. To place our order. I was asking my Polish new friend what's this in the display? Order up our turn. Smoked Kabisi fresh kobonsa fresh Polish ham, Peroigies potato with cheese, and a dozen Sauercraut with mushrooms dozen each. Moving along Chicken cutlet 2 soup, white and red borscht Crepes 3 cheese add your own jelly My son likes the trader Joe's Raspberry jelly. Or just add blackberries for my garden. I almost forgot got to stuff cabbage with red sauce. The red sauce is missing something kind of meat. But the cabbage with meat, it is the bomb. I wanted to thank my Polish friend for helping us out. I had a nice bottle of wine together but you were gone. So if you're the Polish lady that works in queens village at that school PS34 give me a shout out. you have a bottle of wine coming your way. My go-to for all good things Polish. Small and well stocked, good and fast customer service. Recently brought home stuffed cabbage, and it might have been the best rolls of joy I ever had. Super legit and authentic, i.e., home made pirogies, kielbasa, and both of those multiple varieties to choose from. The food quality and freshness wend down tremendously. The hot bar is hit and miss. Most of the meats are so salty and dry to even eat. Salads are not fresh a lot of the times. They made sure to have all the essentials of an A+ Polish deli. They have great flaczki, Polish chocolates, and carrot juice.

Although I don't know much about Polish food, I know I like kielbasa and this place ruined any other kielbasa for me. It's sooo good and the garlicky one is amazing. The pierogi and hot trays are also fantastic, and the selection of EU candy holds my kids over til they get some from their family in Ireland. Also the house-smoked bacon (I think everything is smoked in-house) is really good in everything and comes unsliced if you need it that way. I haven't been here in way too long and I need to correct that. I have to go and stock up. If I was grilling and having people over I'd probably serve their sausage instead of Italian pork store stuff because it's THAT good. read more

Awesome place Kielbassa and most foods are made on premisis. All are 1st quality. The hot entrays are excellent,Sour Kraut Sald is a real special treat! Small Polish deli in Copiague. If you want kielbasa, they have various types to choose from. I stuck with the regular one and was pleasantly surprised, No salty aftertaste and absolutely delicious! They also have shelves stocked with condiments, jams, sweets, etc. The spicy mustard I picked up went perfectly with the kielbasa. The only downside? The crushiki. Very dry and extremely bland. The powdered sugar fell right off and it left a bitter aftertaste. I don't know if it was a bad batch but I wouldn't buy it from them again. Needless to say, I went and bought a box of White Eagle Bakery's version and made up for the crappy one Euro deli sells. Go for the kielbasa and the mustard. After my go to store for Polish Food closed I had to find a replacement. I went to Euro Deli in Copiague and the food didn't disappoint. I purchased the Krajana & Kabanosa sausage, Potato Filled Pierogi, Sauerkraut Mix and Polish Bacon. All were excellent. I served the food on Christmas day and my guests, who are all lovers of Polish food gave rave reviews to the products I served from Euro. This will definitely be my new go to store going forward. Prices are reasonable, the staff is courteous and helpful as well. The staff speaks Polish and it reminded me of going to the Delis in the neighborhood I grew up in which was Greenpoint in Brooklyn. read more

Be aware!!! They are selling expired foods and they are covering expiration dates with price tags !!! Last time when I was buying smoked kielbasa, the girl accidentally dropped it on the floor and then wrapped it up for me! The yogurts that I bought for my son were moldy inside and Kasia margarine was expired!!! Made us sick. The shopping baskets are so dirty... this place deserves an inspection. I have been going to Euro Deli for many years. I have found it to be the best place around. I have told countless people about the place. Along with the deli meats and groceries, they always have fresh, delicious hot food with generous portions. But that changed for me last week when I went for lunch and the owner rudely spoke to me telling me that I had to pay 85 cents extra for each pirogi with my lunch plate. She told me that whoever was giving me more than 2 pirogi with my lunch or dinner plates before that day was "ruining her business" and if I wanted more than 2 with my platter I would have to pay 85 cents each!!!. She was not nice. I politely stepped back, changed my mind and decided not to get lunch there. I am not happy. They lost a good, longtime customer. I went across the street to Polmart Deli, where they gave me a very generous, delicious lunch for less money. read more
