RUN!!! New Directions Counseling, LLC, in Chehalis, WA, is not helpful to those who are trying to…read morerecover from substance use. They are unprofessional and show limited care to their clients. The owner, Scott Dickinson, claims to be a Christian, but he does not walk the talk. He is abrasive, harsh, and unethical. The way they run IOP groups is so boring, and the curriculum looks like a 3rd grader wrote it. They believe the worst about the clients and all gossip with one another about people in the community. The office is in an old house, and the doors have large gaps underneath. With the hardwood floors, nothing is confidential. HIPAA is totally being violated! Do not support this organization. They hire trainees and pay them crap so they suck and the door is constantly revolving with new employees. They also have an office in Shelton. I would not go there either as Scott Dickinson, the horrible owner and supposed "Christian," owns that location as well.

Their systems are antiquated (If you send your provider a message, it goes into a big black hole, never to be answered. In fact, i was told by a clinic employee "why would we answer these messages, we do not get paid for them " Their front administrative staff are some of the nasty and rude people i have ever met. God help you if you ask them a question, you will receive a rude comment in return. They can not get their records correct...oopps we gave you the incorrect medication now your dead !! If they make a referral. You never hear of it again. It slips through the cracks because they have no way to track it. Here is my cheap shot. I looked at their mangement photos from their web page. They are all over weight! Its not very reassuring that they do not care about their own health Beware do not go to these clinics

First time this is an absolutely horrible program. I do not recommend anybody attend or recommend…read morethis " recovery" center if you intend on getting any type of actual recovery, staff is completely disorganized. I happen to be placed with Miss Cruz who is a case manager in charge of obtaining housing resources, DSHS resources and so on two weeks after being there, I still not been advised to call to try any type of resource. She was more occupied with flirting with clients and bringing her personal life to work, talking about her personal problems in our group time and seeking attention from my fellow residence. after advocating for myself and switching case managers, thankfully I was able to obtain somebody that cared about doing their job Mr. Denton the very next day after being placed on his caseload he had resources for me to call housing for me to check in on due to the wasted via my first case manager, I was unable to obtain housing by the time I left. communication between departments within this place was atrocious. I was discharged with completion of the program and sent unprepared back into the Community . I am on a substance abuse maintenance program to maintain my physical and mental troubles such as withdrawal cravings and mental instability stemming from my drug use and homelessness . I was advised upon my discharge that I did not have to worry about visiting the clinic in the town I reside in. They would have the transfer paperwork in I would be able to contact the no problem. In lieu of not obtaining housing or resources that I desperately needed I had no medication upon my discharge to keep me on track with my treatment and recovery because ABHS failed to complete the transfer paperwork for courtesy dosing so that I was prepared to continue my journey to recovery. so returning to the community due to the lack of professionalism specifically from my first assigned case manager Ms. Cruz I feel the time spent there was practically for nothing gaining very little from the program itself, and having to go through the trouble, stress and just day after day of disorganization and confusion from staff members I ultimately just didn't get anything I actually needed. Many residents have the same experience with this individual ABHS really needs to clean house and get some people in there that are actually about recovery and helping people because what goes on behind closed doors here is horrendous care team. Staff members who are supposed to be there to make sure that we are safe and participating through positive affirmations and help maintain a healthy environment for us to grow in our recovery for the most part were outright disrespectful, rude, disorganized, and unprofessional. Overall this program really needs some BIG CHANGES starting from the ground up. If you're thinking about getting in recovery. I hope and pray you don't land here. And if you do I hope you don't have the horrible experience that I had. GOOD LUCK THANK YOU TO THE STAFF MEMBERS LIKE Ms.Camus my counselor, Mr. Denton, my case manager care team members Skeins Davis Howard And Cervantes for treating us like humans. You are the few people that make a difference it's unfortunate that your colleagues don't have the ethics and hearts that you people do -CG

It is about attending meetings to get a certificate of completion in order to avoid prison. The staff is not helpful. Staff lacks compassion and ability to help anyone. Before ABHS Chehalis, WA, my son attended the Spokane, WA ABHS facility and found it to be the same way. The staff is unhappy with huge turnover, lack of moral and caring. The clients are mistreated with cold uncaring inhumane treatment. The clients are merely an end to a means for the facility to make $$$. ABHS advertises as if they are a top notch facility, caring rehabilitative facility. DO NOT BE MISLED. BE AWARE.
