I went in for a patch job after work because that morning I discovered my tire losing air. It was…read morefrom a metal spring or wire firmly lodged in the tire. I took a picture, set up an appt for later that evening on the website, without any stops or issues. Unfortunately, rather than wanting to be late since I got off at 3pm, I scheduled it for 4pm, so I got there early right after work. The gentleman at the counter seemed confused why I was even there early, didn't ask for my confirmation code, and so I offered to sit in the lobby until my appointment, not a big deal as I was early. 4pm rolls around, the guy goes outside to take a smoke. So I had to make myself known again, wait until the guy was done, then get my appt started. I showed him the picture and described that I was losing air pretty fast. I waited an hour for the patch job, I get called to come get my car, and I'm told they removed the object but saw no need for a patch. I go outside and you can literally hear the hissing of air from the same tire, so I got a guy from inside the shop to listen. As he's with me, some other worker comes out and seems upset that I have another issue, saying something to the effect of "Oh, I'm not f*cking with this right now." in front of me, before lightly apologizing. Unfortunately I didn't catch names, but the younger looking gentleman with the cool piercings that didn't make a fuss said he'd personally get me taken care of. After nearly another hour, I finally get my car back, I don't hear any hissing, and the patch has held up a week later. However, after all that they didn't put my valve stem cap or wheel cap back on, both of which we're color matched to the car so I have to go out of my way to get new ones since I just don't have any desire to go back to the shop. It was just such a lack of care from the start that I was leery about trusting the fix, but the second guy did indeed make sure I got home that night without charging me for the additional time. I just wish it felt like my vehicle was treated with more respect.

Unfortunately, I was hoping that since this place had historically been where my husband's family…read morewould go to have work done on their vehicles, that I would be treated fairly. In my experience, I was wrong. The first thing the woman said to me when I introduced myself and what I was there for was, "Do you have your registration... do you know what that looks like." My vehicle had fairly new breaks on but they told me it needed new breaks, calibers, rotors, and tires. The total (not including the inspection) was around $2000. Fortunately, I know enough about cars and knew that none of which they said I needed was actually needed because I keep good care of my vehicle. I have family friends that own garages back where I am from and had them look at at my car and they said that everything was in good condition and that D&L was over charging for all the parts and that they were definitely trying to pull one over on me and felt like it was because I was a woman (which is not uncommon, unfortunately). My car passed inspection at another garage where they told me that D&L put the lug nuts on too tight and that it stripped them, causing me to need new lug nuts. I went back to D&L because I wanted to address my concerns and hoped that we could have a conversation about the experience. I was mistaken. The woman at the front desk was rude when I asked if I could speak to the owner and when she finally "allowed" me to, the owner told me that based on the notes, the car should have passed inspection. He then went to talk to one of his mechanics and then came back and changed his story. He also went out and looked at my car without my permission and accused me of changing items on my vehicle. This place is a joke, manipulative, unprofessional, and I cannot warn everyone (especially women) enough to stay away. I will no longer be getting gas there and will most definitely not have inspections or work done on my car there going forward.
