The place has a cool vibe, and the food is really good! It's a short distance from 57, and so worth it. I had the pulled pork bbq sandwich, my husband had the onion/mushroom/Swiss chicken breast sandwich, and my son had a cheeseburger. They were all fresh, hot, and delicious. If you like bourbon, they have a bourbon bar that looks pretty cool. So much better than the same old fast food. I highly recommend it! read more

For a burger this is a great place. For Brunch...Forget it....Decided to give it a try just in case our first experience was an off day... don't even waste your time! This is the second time we have come into all the tables dirty, out of potatoes of any kind, the fruit being frozen served as a side, and after seeing multiple groups of people walk in and out without being seated d/t no tables decided to leave my first ever review of any restaurant. Stopped in here on a whim headed home from a trip. Food was delicious! Order wasn't completely accurate but we didn't complain and were ultimately pleased with what we received. Super friendly, fast service. Server recommended peanut butter with the candied bacon slider and I swear I'll never eat peanut butter or bacon any other way ever again. First time visiting, the ambiance of the Bar and Grill was nice as they have a family area and even a balcony if you like. The bar was well decorated with nice bourbon signage as they carry a wide selection of good bourbons. I've been eating at ET's Downtown for almost a year now! The food is so amazing, even with COVID going on, I order at LEAST once a week, if not more! Before COVID, dining in was amazing. Usually we check out Yelp for new and unique places to eat instead of the normal chain restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised when we ate here. We had pulled pork and beef brisket and both were top notch. The side of Mac and cheese was great. I would recommend coming here. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Excellent food, service, and people. Stopped in for lunch and enjoyed it so much I came back for dinner. Lunch was a delicious meatloaf grilled cheese sandwich and "crack fries", and dinner was an equally excellent but more conservative spinach salad with strawberries, feta, and chicken. Dessert was a variety of their wide and excellent selection of bourbons at their comfortable upstairs bar. If I lived in Rantoul this would be my home away from home. You've got to love a place that can make both good comfort food and healthier gourmet choices equally well. A rustic establishment with such a sweet staff who accommodated our group of 15 so nicely, including splitting checks with no hassle! Me and wife just had our first experience with ET's And after a couple hrs of deciding what to bring back to motel to eat. I'm so very happy we chose this place to feed us. Thank you for the great fast service. The absolute best baked beans iv ever had. The siracha bacon was unbelievable. The brisket and pulled pork was just as awesome. ET's has a great vibe and warm inviting decor. I started with the mozarella chips which are definitely a must try if you are eating here. Since I come here closer to closing time they are almost always out of brisket and any of their specials, so if you want that - go early! I ordered a (fat) burger and made it a custom. Sweet potato fries on the side. Our server Artreese was amazing the whole time. Once the burger arrived, it looked amazing. Unfortunately that's when things took a slight downturn. The burger had no seasoning and was somewhat bland and overcooked, The fries had no seasoning and were a little overdone. This was in stark contrast to all the flavorful sauces on hand and was frankly, a let down. Great place and service, the food is hit or miss. Lovely atmosphere with a variety of seating spots (floor level, mezzanine, and bar upstairs) and attractively decorated. Appropriate for date nights as well as being family-friendly. The food is high quality and thoughtfully prepared. The night we were there, they had a $15 pork chop special. The pork chop was 1.5" thick, smoked, and finished on the grill, served with mac and cheese that again was smoked, with the amazing candied bacon. The mozzarella discs are the size of a chicken thigh, and are just amazing. Lots of food for the price, staff that hustles to take care of you, and a nice, clean environment. read more

We love ET's! I eat here often and have yet to be disappointed with the food! I really enjoy the atmosphere. My favorite spot is right by the fireplace or in the window watching the people downtown. My only complaint would be some of the younger servers. Maybe some training would help? However, the lady at the bar, she is awesome!! read more

The menu is a little unusual but the food is usually pretty good. My LAST visit I ordered one of their "unusual" specialties and couldn't even stand the smell of it. The waitress graciously took it and ordered me something else, but the cook (in full view from my seat) was noticeably annoyed. I wont be back. read more

My family and I just went to the restaurant and they are supposed to be open until 8pm. We arrived at 7:00 and the open sign was turned off and a member of the staff informed us that they just closed the kitchen. Why would any restaurant close the kitchen an hour before they are closing. Just doesn't make any sense. We will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone. read more
