Overall, a good experience with some room for improvement…read more First off, the service was great! The staff were friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. I don't eat pork, and they had no issue making adjustments to our platter, swapping out the pork items for ribs and extra wings, which I really appreciated. We ordered the platter for two, and the presentation was great with a nice variety of food. One thing that didn't quite make sense to me, though, was that a platter meant for two people came with only **one slider**. Not a huge deal, but two sliders would have made more sense, especially when you're sharing. I actually came here specifically for the brisket, so my expectations were a little higher. While it wasn't bad, I found it somewhat underwhelming. I was hoping for that rich, smoky flavour, a nice charred bark, and the juicy tenderness I've experienced at some other BBQ spots around Toronto. The brisket was decent, but it didn't quite deliver on those things for me. That said, the overall experience was still positive. The portions were generous, the variety was nice, and the service definitely stood out. Would I come back? Yes, especially because of how accommodating the staff were.I'd just love to see a little more attention given to the brisket, because a great brisket can really take a BBQ experience to another level!

He checked on us regularly to ensure we were enjoying our dinner. There were three of us dining, and we shared a sampler platter for two along with two additional sides. The three of us agreed that the mac & cheese was one of the best we've ever had at a BBQ place. The pasta was perfectly cooked al dente, and the cheese sauce was creamy and perfectly. The first one we tried was so good that we ended up ordering a second, the truffle mac & cheese. For our sampler, we chose the ribs that were literally falling off the bone, the brisket that was very flavorful, and the BBQ sausage that tasted wonderfully natural. Along with the mac & cheese, we also had the brussels sprouts, sweet potato waffle fries, and the potato salad. Everything was really good. The lower level seating area is all high tops. Upstairs has more tables and chairs, along with a bar stocked with various scotches and whiskeys. Thanks to Payas and the great food, we will definitely come back, even though we don't live close by.

We appreciate that we recieved no reminders about the maximum dining time compared to out last visit. We easily maintained the time limit which was sucfficient and even finished prior to. We tried the platter to start and it was a great introduction to help decide what to choose from going forward. The meat is so flavorful and sliced so thin, they were so quick to cook. The sushi and and additional dishes (tempura, tataki and cheese corn) were an added bonus to have at a Japanesebbq. There was a salad bar surprisingly had little clams and lobster bisque in addition to sauces and salads. Actually ended up prefering the cold clams to the hot ones cooked on the grill in little foil tins. The drinks (hot and cold teas) and deserts (shaved ice, mousses and creme brule) were also at the grab and go buffet and were great.

One year later, I'm still obsessed with this spot!…read more This is our go to place whenever we're craving for some charcoal bbq. Since we've been here multiple times already, we're familiar with what cuts of meat we like and no longer have to get their beef meat platter. Also love that they currently have new BBQ dishes that are so good! Lemongrass Dai style beef plate 100/5 - LOVED this. This new BBQ dish was so packed with flavour and has the perfect beef marbling. So good we got this twice! Original Wang Galbi 5/5 - Delicious galbi with bone still on. Garlic Beef Plate 5/5 Sweet Soy Beef Plate 5/5 Qiquihar Special Meat 5/5 - Dish comes with cilantro, green onion and onion. Cold Noodle Soup 5/5 - This is a must get since it's so refreshing with all the BBQ meats. Korean style bibimbap 5/5 - LOVE this - comes with tuna and an assortment of other ingredients to mix together. Overall, I can't emphasize enough how delicious this place is. Their meats are high quality and I love that they're all marinated differently so you can really taste the difference in flavour. DIY sauce bar on the side. Great service as well - servers are always around to get you what you need. Definitely worth checking out for sure!

Charcoal BBQ sounds like a great idea, and that's what caught my attention about Meataa7! I like…read morethe concept of grilling over real charcoal rather than using a regular gas grill, but the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The biggest issue was controlling the heat. The charcoal would keep flaring up, and there wasn't really a way for us to adjust the fire. Some of the charcoal ash ended up sticking to the meat, which actually affected the taste. It was a little frustrating, especially when you're trying to cook everything evenly. Most of the meats here are already marinated, so you don't really need much dipping sauce. Here's what stood out from our meal: **Green Peppercorn Beef Plate** - One of the better dishes we tried! I liked the numbing sensation from the green peppercorns. The seasoning was quite distinctive, and it gave the beef more character without needing extra sauce. **Grilled Beef Tendon (Limited-Time Special)** - Something a little different from the usual BBQ cuts. It had a bit of a spicy kick, and I thought it was quite an interesting option to try. **Vegetable Medley** - Surprisingly, one of my favourites! I especially loved the mushrooms and zucchini, which worked really well on the grill. The potatoes and sweet potatoes were another story, though. They were much harder to cook properly, and we kept ending up with either undercooked pieces or vegetables covered in charcoal ash. **Marshmallow** - I loved that they included marshmallows at the end of the meal! Such a fun little touch, especially since you already have the charcoal grill going. **Mandarin Oranges** - Another thing I really appreciated was being able to help ourselves to as many mandarins as we wanted. A refreshing way to finish after all the grilled meat, and honestly, one of those small details I really liked about the experience. Overall, I think Meataa7 has a good concept, and I enjoyed some of the marinated meats, especially the green peppercorn beef, along with the mushrooms and zucchini. But the lack of control over the charcoal fire made grilling more difficult than it needed to be. I would've enjoyed the meal a lot more if we could adjust the heat and avoid getting charcoal ash on the food. Still, I appreciated the little extras like the marshmallows and unlimited mandarins. Those were a nice way to end the meal!

On to the burger it was really good double cheese, double bacon double patty, an was every thing a burger should be . it was very vibrant in chucks. but i wanted to give a shout out to the waitress irina who was pleasant ,polite and very efficientand did a great . in fact i decided to get the cheese fries which were really good the next day , i'll definitely get those again . one sour note though a customer had wanted to watch the real madrid barcelona soccer match "El Classico" and the waitress was filiping through channels and found the vancouver fc and calgary calvary game and said this was as good as el classico. the customer was not happy and rightly so . the la liga real madrid barcelona rivalry in one of the classics in soccer and the game was on ABC. it did have the nfl games in that time slot. With that said i look forward to more visits to chucks and checking out the menu further
