You'll find plenty of shade trees and two water stations along with some nonalcoholic drink options. There's no food truck on site, but they do offer a charcuterie board and I was told you can now bring your own grub (still might want to call and confirm though). At the bar inside you'll find a listing of their ciders including some guest taps that rotate. There's two unisex bathrooms near the bar and two sinks on the outside where everyone can watch you wash your hands. It should be mentioned that there is one oddity about this property and that is the small McCuistian family cemetery just a few hundred feet west of the driveway (see separate review). And if that cemetery is not enough to get your attention, the huge Live Oak cemetery is directly next-door with over a thousand graves to peruse through (yes, I reviewed that one too). So if you're looking for a place that produces high-quality craft cider and enjoy the rustic Hill country setting, this is it. Service and conversation were good. My husband loved his Sweet Whites. Unfortunately for me, the reds didn't meet my love for BIG BOLD Reds. The red wines were very light and the first 2 too tart for my liking. Everyone has their personal preference. It was definitely worth stopping. Tastings were normally $20 per person and we had purchased Wine Lovers Celebration passport for a couple at $100. If you haven't tried the Texas Wine Passport, it is worth the money.

There are a lot of wineries in the Drilling Springs area and this is one of my favorites because the wine is just so good. These are actually California wines & that's a-ok with me. It felt like other people came in and were warmly greeted, but I would just get my pour and a perfunctory description of the wine and that was it. The wine was tasty but the tasting itself was only moderately enjoyable. The main reason was the tasting was 30-40 minutes long and we just had to stand at a counter. We couldn't order food at the counter either. We are used to tastings being at a table where we do the tasting, order bottles we enjoyed while noshing on food from the menu. Standing for 40 minutes at a counter was not expected or enjoyable. One of our family members has a disability and is unable to stand that long so he and my husband sat outside while the ladies did the wine tasting inside at the counter. It was really disappointing as the expectation was a nice afternoon at the winery with the group and it ended up being two separate groups and standing the whole time at a counter wasn't enjoyable. The wine was good. We brought two bottles home. The experience left a lot to be desired.

We got a tasting and Matt curated the wines. We got 2 whites, a rose and a red. Also a bonus pour. The wines were alright, my favorite was the mourvede. Bathroom had a baby changing station which is always nice! THE FINAL BAMBOO: A wine tasting here was around $15 for 4 tastings. Very pretty view and each wine had a good story behind it.
