    Mushroom Toast

On our last morning in Golden, before heading out, my husband and I stopped for breakfast at Ethos. The café is small, but it was buzzing with business. I ordered my classic vanilla oat milk latte while my husband just got an Americano. The coffee is made fresh and to order. For our breakfast, my husband decided on the Breaky roll while I ventured out and decided to try the mushroom toast. When I tell you that this mushroom toast was one of the best things I have ever tasted in my life, I am not exaggerating. I would have never in a million years thought that a spin off of avocado toast, with mushrooms and hummus, would have been so delicious and so satisfying, but it absolutely was. To-go, we also grabbed some of their macarons and they did not disappoint. Do yourself a favor and come try Ethos if you find yourself in Golden.

    Beef kefta sliders -- yums!

Found this spot on Google and absolutely pleased that we did. This cute, modern eatery/coffee shop is located inside what looks to be in a relatively brand new apartment complex, and it not only serves coffee/tea, but also an eclectic variety of food. We ordered a bowl of cream of pumpkin soup, beef kefta sliders, a pesto chicken sandwich, and a soy iced chai. Everything was absolutely delicious! The ingredients tasted fresh and the flavors all melded well together. We were also blown away by the presentation -- after all, we eat with our eyes first. You can tell whoever's in the kitchen cares about the smallest of details, which customers who are foodies like us, truly appreciate! They also make their bread in-house -- bonus points! The soy iced chai was yummy. I'm sure their coffees are just as great. Go support local, and grab a bite to eat at this hidden gem!

Very cute cafe in Golden, limited menu however food was decent. Unfortunately all the bakeries are pretty much gone and kitchen was closing when we arrived, so we only get to try the sandwiches (about an hour before cafe closes)

It is such a great cafe, we were so happy to find this gem in a small town The food and coffee were amazing. Deserts were like in the best French cafes and sandwiches very authentic and delicious. Highly recommended!

For the 4 days i was in BC i went here twice. The food was so good. I ordered the Pesto Chicken Sando & the Breaky Roll. The Pesto Chicken was so flavorful especially with the Balsamic Reduction. I also tried their Matcha Latte & the Vanilla Iced Latte. I love their Iced Vanilla Latte because they are using homemade vanilla syrup. The staff are very nice. Good Service and of course nothing beats the scenery and ambiance of the place. I will definitely visit this Cafe again once I'm back in GBC.

Before we could even ask the question a female waitress said " if its not at the bar then you're not sitting anywhere". She the proceeded to say something to the extent of "f'ing new people" to another patron at the bar. We walked out. Unfortunately this establishment burned a bridge with me. Probably doesn't matter to them because it seems to be a locals joint but figured it was worth a warning to other travelers.

It was just perfect that we found this funky patio right next to the bridge. After a long hot drive from Jasper, this was the ideal spot to enjoy a beer and the view. I got the River house Chicken burger - Fresh chicken thigh, avocado, old cheddar, bacon, jalapeño mayo, lettuce, tomato on cheese Kaiser bun with Casesar salad. The chicken thigh was so juicy, not like most chicken burger patties and the Caesar salad was refreshing on a hot summer day. The bf got the pulled pork quesadilla with Caesar salad as well. We were expecting the usual store bought tortilla wrap but to our surprise, the quesadilla was made with a crispy fried tortilla. It had the texture of a hard taco and it gave the quesadilla some crunch and structure while holding in all the ingredients. It was a wonderful lunch on the patio to split up our long day. He enjoyed the shade while I got some much needed sunshine to go with our beers.
