The nail polish was poorly applied, no top coat, my friend and I were left a bit abandoned after 1 coat of polish was applied. I don't need special treatment, but I felt like an inconvenience. very disappointing.

The pedicurist finally came and set me up. She was quiet and didn't communicate -- she just moved my feet around. As another client walked out behind her (rather loudly), she even rolled her eyes. I went for the manicure (a different esthetician), and as we started, there were 2 employees who apparently had nothing to do, so they gossiped and cut their own nails at the manicure table where the clients were. Then halfway through my manicure, they asked me to move to a different station because they had 3 people who wanted to sit in 3 adjacent seats. I thought maybe these 3 were walk-in clients, but no -- they were booked in. Strange that the employees couldn't plan ahead so that I didn't have to move half-way through my service. I didn't stay to let my nails dry completely (some drying drops would have been helpful) because the place was cold and uncomfortable. The manicurist seemed very nice but she didn't speak English, so we couldn't communicate. The place also didn't seem very clean. The manicure table was either dirty or very stained, and the bins containing the tools didn't look like they were ever washed. Only the kind manicurist saved this from being a one-star review.

Look them up and take them to heart as they are completely lacking currently. It is not appropriate to have clients disrobe with the electrologist in the room...the male electrologist. It is standard, professional practice to provide some takeaway literature about the procedure, expected results and directions on aftercare. Completely lacking here. Follow up questions or concerns should be responded to by the service provider....not the call centre on the mainland. There is no way to contact this office directly...other than showing up and taking the chance that someone is there...which I did twice to no avail. It is 2014. I should be able to call or email this office but that is not the case. Everything is handled through Langley. When I called to ask if the extensive bruising I experienced was normal (this was my first electrolysis treatment...and my last) they asked no questions...just said it was normal to experience mild bruising. This is not mild. If you are considering electrolysis, read lots...and then go somewhere other than Jade in Victoria.
