Booked a microneedling appointment, the day of, they called to cancel (fine shit happens), then rebooked. I get there on the rebooked day and nobody is in the lobby so I take a seat. I proceed to wait as the receptionist comes in as she is on the phone and texting. after 10 minutes past my appointment I interrupt to ask if my appointment is ready, I was told they were and were waiting for me to check in (meanwhile I was there 20 minutes early for my appointment sitting in front of the receptionist desk but didn't want to interrupt). Once I got in the room the lovely aesthetician was going over pre care (didn't get any instructions) and apparently I couldn't use retinol for a week leading up to the appointment (used it the night before). i will not be re-scheduling. won't let me give zero stars. read more

RIPOFF!!! I have been going to them since they opened in Sidney. They in about 2 years time raised their prices at least 3 times without telling me. Then they sometimes offer a 40% off coupon which means you are now paying only $20.00 more for a nail fill than anyone else in town or Victoria. The work done is very good, but it takes 2 hours to get a fill. Not going back. I also tried their lash extensions and the tech did not listen to anything I said. The lashes looked terrible. They were too heavy, too black and too long. My friends laughed. The owner tried to tell me they looked good and gave me $5 off. I found another company to do them and they are perfect first and second time. read more

I've been getting laser treatments here for over a year which all went great with Chantelle. However since she has left the business I have been booked with different staff all telling me something different about how the laser works and the effectiveness it may have on my skin. On my most recent visit I experienced terrible pain during the appointment which the technician told me was normal despite me advising her this was different. She then stated she didn't know why it would hurt with a different machine blaming my skin tone instead of her lack of expertise. I then experienced such excruciating pain for hours after the appointment it felt like a lighter was being held to my skin. I now have black laser burn marks on my skin. I am disappointed in the lack of regulation and training the different technicians have and hope this doesn't happen to someone else. read more

BEWARE ....The owner tried to steal $1000 from me. I would give them a zero if I could. I went into their Langford establishment on March 12th 2024 for tattoo removal services. When I walked in the three ladies at the front desk said nothing to me and didn't acknowledge me for 10 minutes. When the lady at the front desk ( the OWNER ) finally asked "can I help you" . I was directed to go into the back room. The tattoo removal tech told me they only sell packages of 6 or 12. I was hesitant to do that as I've had tattoo removal done before and could always pay per session. So I had a session done and against my better judgement bought a 6 session package with the front desk lady.....the OWNER! She took my $1015 including gratuity. Then proceeded to book my next session for May 2nd. She did All THIS KNOWING, that same day they found out they were being kicked out of their Langford establishment and would not even be there for my next session. So the owner took my money and booked me a session 6 weeks from that date all the well knowing their business would NOT be there the next week. I drove by 2 weeks later and a For Lease sign was in the windows. This is not the worse part..... Of course I called right away and asked what had happened. Long story short the business shut down....she wanted me to drive to her Victoria business 30 mins away for the remaining sessions. I told her no.... that's why I booked 6 sessions at your Langford business. I asked for a refund minus the one session I had. She told me NO that she wasn't giving refunds at this time. Of course that was not going to happen. I had to fight and threaten her with defrauding me..... Taking my money knowing she wouldn't be in Langford and still booking me an appointment that would never happen. It took me almost 2 weeks to get most of my money back. She also admitted to me on the phone that the day I came is the day they found out they were closing, and she still took my money and booked me in. She never did give me back the gratuity $150. So this company is full of SCAMMERS if you ask me. God knows how many others they've done this too. So BEWARE if you decide to go there. read more

I have been coming here for about 2.5 years and it's always a great experience. The consultants are all skilled and professional and the space is spotless. Even during the pandemic I always felt safe coming in--they paid attention to everything. Ventilation, distancing, reduced capacity, masks, face shields, plexi barriers, temperature checks, contract tracing...I even brought my mom in for a pedicure. Highly recommend! read more

My nail tech, Reann, is super. She's not only very skilled and professional but also a very pleasant person to chat with over the course of our sessions together. My critiques of the salon are, first, that there are many uncomfortable areas to sit in for pedicures. This should be fixed with the input of your customers. Also, I'm surprised that during the pandemic's forced shutdowns/slow-downs the bathroom on the main floor was not updated with better plumbing, but especially, faucets, so that one can wash up without touching them (or with hospital style lever faucets that permit operation with one's arm or elbow). Right now, though the soap and towel dispensers are touchless, the faucets (and light switch, for that matter) is not. I know the pandemic will be under control sooner than later, but this investment in hygiene will go a long way to a healthy staff and customers (fewer colds, flu etc.) and also update the bathroom space. My first time visiting was so amazing and the girl that did my nails was amazing, she did a great job and she was so caring. Unfortunately on my second time deciding to return, I was with a different girl and what a mess. It was the worst nail service I ever received. I am not one to complain easily, but this girl rushed the job, just wanting to finish. She hurt my cuticles so badly, even after telling her and she was just telling me to sit still. I decided on brand new color and she did not even remove all the product from the previous application I had. Her gel application was horrible, uneven and messy, thin in some parts and way too thick in other parts and leaving traces of dust in the gel application, giving my gel application a rough look texture instead of a nice, smooth one. I would definitely not want someone else to receive the same terrible experience I had today, leaving with extremely sore cuticles and horrible looking nails. Unfortunately because of this experience I won't ever be returning to the salon. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you care about your rights as a paying customer! Deco De Mode took my money for services it did not render and refused to give it back! I urge anyone reading this not to set foot in an establishment that treats its customers so unfairly and disrespectfully and not put their bodies under the care of its employees again. I purchased a package from Deco de Mode in Winter 2020 right before the COVID-19 pandmic began. When the lockdowns started, I had to move to another province and could not use the rest of my 4/6 sessions. I recently found out that I would not be returning to Victoria to use the rest of my session and reached out to the business to ask for a refund of the rest of my money. I said that it would even be okay to receive store credit to buy services for friends or use in their online shop. The manager Melissa was my point of contact. She refused to give me a refund/credit. Although repeatedly describing to her that I would not ever come to Victoria, she still kept insisting that they can't offer a refund because of their "store policy" and I can come in for sessions when I'm in town. Again, that is literally impossible for me because I will never be in Victoria again. They finally told me that I cannot even come in for the sessions. They are withholding my money for services that have not, will not, and cannot be rendered. My move and inability to use the services I paid for was a special circumstance during unprecedented pandemic times and this business failed to accomodate unlike other businesses. Deco De Mode is now basically stealing my money by telling me I can't get a refund because of their "policies", and that I no longer am allowed to come in for my sessions, which is in no way legal. Their "policy" can easily be amended because of my special circumtance. They just refuse to do so. Deco De Mode's policies, set by the owners, which Melissa kept citing, aren't set in place for their clients, rather to profit off of their clients without any sort of compassion and care for their welfare. The company's handling of this matter was completely illegal. In her last email, Melissa was very unprofessional, saying "she did not force me to move". This wasn't something that I ever accused her off, and it came off very rude and uncompassionate. This business has now taken hundreds of dollars of my money and refuses to pay it back. I hope the owners and Melissa reflect on what kind of unjust establishment they are running, and reflect on the illegality and unfairness of their policies. read more

I have only had my eyebrows waxed a few times with Danielle, who is super pleasant and does an amazing job. My only complaint personally is their reception/booking- I've had three appointments, and one time they didn't have a room and I had to wait until after my appointment to get into one, and the other I was booked in with the wrong person (which Danielle was awesome about and got me in, but I booked online specifically with her). Otherwise, the place is usually relatively busy and is clean, and I would be interested in further services in the future. read more

I do not recommend this place. It's management is quite poor. She did not make me feel comfortable during my visit or was very nice in her customer service. It felt like the staff treated me differently since I'm not a regular customer. Overall very poor experience and the service was incredibly overpriced for what you receive. I've gotten a manicure twice here. Both times, the hard gel started to lift off my nail beds after ~2 weeks. Normally, my nails grow pretty slowly and I can last about a month in between fills. My nails never lift when I have them done at other salons. The nails are shaped pretty poorly, in my opinion. They are visibly thick/bulky. The lengths don't match. The manicures are priced ridiculously. I paid over $130 (I believe this included tip) to have a fill with 3 nails completely done over; that's about double what I pay elsewhere. The only thing I like about this place is the colour selection. read more

Pretty disappointed. I called in the morning to make an appointment for a pedicure, and they said they could get me In for 3:15, but 45 minutes after making the appointment I had to cancel because of a family emergency. They told me that they have a 24 hour cancellation policy so I would be charged for my missed appointment.. that I literally just made. I'm in the industry so I totally understand cancellation policies, but I do think charging someone even though they cancelled less then an hour after making the appointment is pretty dirty! read more
