This Ethel M chocolate shop is a must stop if you like premium great tasting chocolates. Located on the mezzanine level in the California Hotel Downtown Las Vegas. Fast friendly service. She gave my wife a bunch of samples for us to try. The layout of the the store hasn't changed. Just delicious chocolates and good service. Enjoy

This was the last stop on our walking food tour. We each got two chocolates to try. So dang good! I absolutely loved the chocolates here. They have such a large variety. Give me anything with nuts in it :)

Located inside the California Hotel, this little store is perfect for a little treat after your brunch or lunch. It's clean and the people working there always have good recommendations. We love that they offer samples and the new flavors throughout the year. My go-to is the Pecan Toffee and Dark Chocolate Sea Salt

What a great facility, clean and friendly. We arrived a little early and walked around the cactus garden, impressive. At 4:00 we entered the tasting room and were happily greeted. Two staff greeted us warmly. Tasing was fabulous - wonderful chocolates paired with wine. The chocolates were so good. We brought some home. When the tasting was done we walked around the cactus garden full of Christmas lights. It was a great experience except for limiting the number of chocolates we brought home.

We had to visit this branch at the California Hotel on our last day in Vegas before we checked out. They had pretty red heart boxed chocolates since Valentines is coming up. They also had a decorated box of chocolates designed for the Super Bowl as they are sponsors. The lady working was the best ever. She answered my questions for popular flavors. I picked up a small brown fabric Ethel M's tote to keep the candies we bought from shifting. She knew I wanted them to arrive home in good condition so without asking, she bagged them separately in 2 cellophane bags then into the fabric bag and then into a larger tote bag. We were even given samples to try which was wonderful.

I love this cute shop that's located on the 2nd floor of the California Hotel and Casino. It's such a fun little shop as soon as you walk in you get greeted by the friendly employee that's working that day. She's asks you if you would like a sample. I was like ooooo yes for sure so we tried the macadamia nut milk chocolate and the peanut butter chocolate. So yes I ended up buying 4 of these cute little chocolates as they were $2.50 each. So the total came out to 10.00 no tax. We ended up purchasing milk chocolate macadamia nut, peanut butter and 2 white chocolates! They were very yummy. I should have picked up a box before I left but I didn't. Oo and they're at the LAS airport close to the gates that Hawaiian Airlines flies out of! The last working that day she was very sweet, kind and really showed the ALOHA spirit!

This is a place I have been going to for over 20 years. I have taken my son and also my step-kids. Now we are carrying on the tradition with the grandkids. This is a great inexpensive Christmas holiday place to check out and is also great and free to check out the factory even not during the holidays! We did not try any food while we were there but they now have trucks in the back that serve food and drinks. My husband was able to get a beer which he was super happy about. It was gorgeous, they did a great job decorating for Christmas. They have Santa available for pics and you are not required to purchase the pics you can take your own if you want.

I was visiting Las Vegas for a week and this place came up as one of the spots you should visit. We came here on a week day and there people there be it was not packed. When you walk in they greet you and offer you a piece of milk chocolate or dark chocolate to sample. You then can walk down the glass enclosed kitchen for a self guided tour. If you come during the correct time of day (we did not) you can watch them making the chocolate. The tour ends in the gift shop where they have a tom of great chocolate options. This is a great place to stop if you are looking for gifts to bring home. The chocolate is on the expensive side but you are paying for quality chocolate so it's worth it. After you're done shopping you can walk out side and take a tour of their impressive cactus garden. The have so many different kinds of cactus. The have little signs telling you the names of the different ones. I definitely recommended a visit if you are in the area.

My sample is all gone. The pecan turtle was Delicious!

This review is for the little shop in the California Hotel. I believe the lovely lady's name was Debbie. Debbie was extremely upbeat, patient, warm, and friendly. I had initially stepped in to buy a few chocolates and was looking around at the boxed items out of curiosity; and as I did so she answered questions I didn't realize I had. In the end I purchased a self-selected box of candies which came with its own color picture and description of the chocolates. This allows the receiver to know exactly what they were selecting to try next. My "couple of chocolates" went to an entire box and I couldn't have been happier. And when I was ringing up Debbie asked about military and other discounts, so I even got a little off. She then would not accept a tip for her help, saying they're not allowed. Debbie is the kind of employee that makes any business a five star experience. Thank you Debbie!

I only tried the pastries, and they were all delicious! ** Kalamansi coconut cake (5/5): my favorite of the lot! It was dense and creamy with its layers of dark chocolate ganache. The mint white chocolate layer on top didn't taste like mint but had a nice sweetness and worked well with the richness and dark chocolatey goodness of the rest of the cake. Didn't really taste the kalamansi but it was still super tasty! :) ** Chocolate celebration cake (4/5): nothing too unique about this except that it tasted of really high quality ingredients and was extra chocolatey! The cake had a hint of bitterness that paired well with the slightly sweetened frosting-- definitely rich but earned that "not too sweet" description. ** Double chocolate chip cookie (4/5): a crust/hard crumb + dense and slightly chewy in the middle with the chips providing textual contrast. It was the most bitter / intensely chocolate pick of the haul, but it was pretty tasty :) ** Apple donut (4/5): this would be my surprise pick; it sounded weird but the chocolate ganache filling worked well inside with the apple filling which wasn't overly syrupy or sweet! ** Miso blondie (3.5/5): drawn by the promise of miso and black sesame, but it didn't really deliver. It was a tasty dessert, but tasted more "normal" than expected. Definitely has the black sesame, but I couldn't taste any of it. I happily gobbled it up though~ Open everyday starting at 7 am until 9/10 pm and definitely busier on weekends (items sold out midday!). Personally, I'd go for less sweet and after trying a sample of Nama Chocolate Ghana Bitter, I felt this one is perfect for me, it's not bitter at all, the quality is superb! I wish I'd bought four my last day in Vegas because Dad accidentally ate the one for Mom instead of his apple pastry ... and he said there wasn't any filling. Yes, there wasn't supposed to be filling in the crispy, flaky, cinnamon sugar dusted DKA! I first had Cronuts at Paris Baguette so I knew what I was about to experience back at the Grove in 2019. I ordered one here in Vegas and this month's flavor was coconut creme. Very light in flavor, same heaviness I've gotten used to from croissant donuts. They were also offering milk chocolate flavor this month that I wasn't aware of when ordering. I wanted to try the madeleines after gifting a friend the new IOTA hand cream made in partnership with DA himself. I ordered the lemon madeleines instead and was confused since they were coated in this earl grey white chocolate. The madeleine was drenched in maybe milk so it was so soft like tres leches with a lemon custard center. I went back the next day and ordered fresh, piped and baked to order mini madeleines-- twenty pieces for ~$12?! I should've bought at least two orders! And they smell just like the hand cream! So I went and bought myself the cream from ULTA to remember my DA Vegas breakfast runs while staying at Caesar's Palace. Also, my sister LOVES the pain au chocolat! She had it twice and probably should've bought more. It's pricey at $10 but worth the splurge. DKAs also run at $10 each. Get a nice four piece box as a gift for about $41. Oh! I forgot I bought three canelés. Ended up eating two of them. Opt for the bag instead of the box to save money. Custardy center with a chewy exterior, tastes a bit like slightly burnt brown sugar, in the best way possible. Finally tried the infamous chocolate chip cookie shot with steamed Madagascar vanilla milk! The cookie is warmed in their oven for ultimate melty chocolate-ness. I'm glad I shared this. Maybe I'll try the torched marshmallow ice cream bar one day. Staff is super sweet and friendly. Line goes by quickly. They have a few tables to sit at for a quick snack or breakfast.

What made it even more special is that I'm not usually a fan of chocolate chip cookies, and I've always wanted to try their ube cookie--and those were exactly the ones they gave me. ( no chip cookie & ube cookie ) It felt so thoughtful and intentional. I happened to be having a rough morning, and this small act of kindness truly turned my entire day around. Moments like this are such a beautiful reminder of how good God is, and how His goodness can show up through people in the most unexpected ways. It also reminded me that there are still kind, genuine, and thoughtful people in this world. The quality of the food speaks for itself--everything tasted amazing and was absolutely worth the price. I always make sure to tip, but this time I made sure to leave a little extra for my DoorDash driver as a way to pass that kindness forward. So If you're reading this, thank you--and God bless you. Please support this business, and take a moment to spread kindness wherever you can. You never know what someone else might be going through.

Oh my goodness.... Let's just start there! I had to visit after I saw on instagram they had a soft…read moreserve cookie bowl and I needed it real bad and it did NOT disappoint. Absolutely delicious the oreo chocolate chip cookies were so soft and chewy around the edges...this is my type of cookie, the vanilla soft serve was so light and simple, the bowl itself was HUGE! In a time like now, where prices are high, I'm selective of where I go to spend but this place will keep me coming back for sure! They are very fair in pricing with decent portion sizing of bowls and cups, and the taste is 10/10 across the board. Now let's get to the service... there was a very very kind young man working the counter wearing glasses I didn't catch his name but he was so respectful and willing to assist and answer any question this young man was raised right, motivated and brought such a good energy to the shop. It was such a pleasure meeting him. The shop itself is very simple more of a grab and go type of shop I wish there were a few more tables to sit and enjoy in shop especially on hot days as today but over all a very quaint little spot off Decatur and sunset. I'll be back! Thanks for a great experience!
