Give some love this Valentine's Day

Euphoria! Ecstasy! Feel the joy as your brain breathes a sigh of relief for chocolate. As you walk in you get that "happy go lucky feeling!" It's chocolates of so many different flavors and variations. Shall we loose our senses as we shop. As you approach the counter the staff have lovely smiles. They immediately offer you a sample. A sample, "what to choose!" The choices are endless. As you aimlessly search for something to quell your sensations the distraction becomes apparent. Back to why your here. Today we are going to celebrate just being able to see and celebrate life each day. Do we need a reason for chocolate? Some do! We are all raised with certain values and beliefs. For those that "need" chocolate each day stock up. If this is just a once in a while treat then open the door and come on in. Whatever your celebration they can help you with that. For those that want that special touch you can pick and choose your own unique box of chocolates it's all based upon weight. The choices are truly amazing. For all those special reasons one can never have too much of what they enjoy! No matter what holiday that your celebrating show up with chocolates and be the life of the party. If your looking for something extra special you can always select your own favorites and have it gift wrapped by the staff members here . Let's make this a special occasion! What are we celebrating?

What an amazing shopping experience. I like their self guided tour. You can take your time and take videos and everyone working there is friendly and waves at you. When you enter the store you get a free sample. Then at the end of the tour you are at their gift shop and cafe. I got to sample another cherry cordial piece and it was absolutely delicious and divine. So pretty and the alcohol content was just right. My bf surprised me with a cherry cordial box which was so sweet of him! We also sampled their pecan brittle and it's one of the best tasty brittle I've ever had. I purchased their mixed box so got a dozen of regular pecan brittle and a dozen of chocolate drizzled brittle. And the best part is you can order these items online as well. So if I'm ever in the mood for tasty brittle and chocolates I can order online. Outside they have a cacti garden which is pretty cool to look at.

What can I say my first time in this cute little chocolate shop. Liz and Remy were so knowledgeable, and kind and went above and beyond to give us an incredible experience! I will for sure be back and hopefully they open one up in LA soon! Gonna need to help my new prickly pear truffle addiction.

Still my favorite place to come for premium chocolate! They carry those delicious liquor chocolates! They still have some Valentine Heart boxes available. The cactus garden which is decorated for Valentine's Day, is open today and tomorrow from 5 to 10 p.m. with $1 entrance fee benefiting Help of Southern Nevada and Three Square food bank. Take a romantic stroll in the garden with your sweetheart and take some lovely photos before it's all gone until next year! You can also pre-order chocolate dipped strawberries here if you really want to impress your sweetheart! They also offer sugar free chocolate, which is kind of important to a lot of people!

Ethel M's chocolates are not available in Hawaii anymore so it's a treat to be able to purchase some to take home. These chocolates are rich and delicious. This Town Square location is a tiny shop and doesn't have a full assortment of their offerings, but it was close to where we were and did have at least two of the three items I wanted to get. First was the sea salt caramel 5 piece assortment. The caramel was even better than the chocolate! The second was the XO Cognac 5 piece assortment. This one was decadent, with a soft truffle like cognac center and beautiful with a gold (gold leaf?) decoration in the outside. Prices differ based on the type of chocolate. They also sell individual chocolates and offer a sample to taste. The Dark Choc Cherry cordial was good. They also sell chocolate bases off various flavors (forgot to take a picture). The chocolate peanut butter was the best off the ones I got (choc mint, white choc, dark choc). I would return for the XO Cognac chocolates because those were special and unique, but not the sea salt caramels since there's similar in other chocolate stores.

My partner and I decided to take a chocolate tasting and wine pairing class for a post Valentine's Day celebration. Lucky for us, Ethel M still had their rotation of Valentine's chocolates during our course. The chocolate is some of the best I've ever had! I highly recommend Ethel M chocolate as a gift to a loved one or a special treat to have around the house. The tasting was fun and informative, but there were a few things I wish they included for a more holistic experience. The information provided was very basic (I.e. where chocolate is grown and cacao beans being the main ingredient in chocolate). I wish they delved deeper into how chocolate originated, they gave us a tour of the factory, they showed us the chocolate making process, and they provided more information as to why certain wines go well with certain chocolates. My favorite chocolate was the milk chocolate pecan rapture, but the port it was paired with tasted like medicine! My favorite pairing, surprising enough, was the milk chocolate with peanut butter! And I am not a peanut butter and chocolate fan! But, the pairing tasted like a classic PB&J and tantalized my taste buds. Regale Braquetto. Overall, I'm happy we went to the tasting but it's not something I would do again. The service and the presenter were phenomenal but there are a few changes I would make to enhance the chocolate and wine tasting. Chocolate tastings are available to be booked on the Ethel M website. Tastings are available in their main location in Henderson. 4/5 recommend the tasting. 5/5 recommend buying the chocolate and visiting there factory and cactus garden!

I had the pleasure of checking out this store which I had never been to. It is conveniently located at Town Square which was like a ghost town as I walked through it. I was greeted so warmly and enthusiastically by Clara. I showed her my Yelp check in and she immediately told me they had ran out of the Spring boxes but told me I could select three candy bars instead. Wow!! I was excited as I like the fact that I could choose my own chocolates instead of receiving the box. I chose the milk chocolate, caramel milk chocolate and the dark chocolate (to go with my red wine). In addition I had to purchase a couple pecan turtles as these are truly my favorite chocolates. Ethel M's was the first place I ever had a turtle and since I used to work here very long ago, I was glad to see they still have them. Clara was so kind and she was super upbeat! I don't think I have ever met a more friendly Ethel M employee. Kudos to Clara! The store is small but holds all the products nicely and neatly just how they like it. They feature VGK chocolates now which is pretty cool. Overall, I definitely had a five star experience at this store from Clara's excellent customer service to the lovely gift! Thank you Yelp, Kayla and Ethel M for the lovely gift!

Ethel M's is one of the best... We usually go to the Ethel M Chocolate Factory and Botanical Cactus Garden to get our chocolates. Although it is only a 15-minute drive from the Strip on the southeast side of town we didn't make it there this time so we stopped by the Town Square to get some chocolates to bring home. The brick and mortar is not very far from the Town Square Park on North Main Street. The store is very neat and organized. The selection in this store is limited compared to the factory store but they have the chocolate bars my daughter liked and I purchased 4 for $10. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There is a free small hot chocolate offer at Yelp check-in but they ran out of it that evening so I wasn't able to claim it. Ethel M Chocolates is based in Las Vegas, Nevada. They are gourmet premium chocolate so they are a bit pricey but they are certainly one of the best. The Original 1932 Mars Bar (Milk Chocolate, Nougat & Almonds) is my new favorite! Review #1653

I've missed having a local chocolatier that I can frequent and took the opportunity to check this one out, strictly based on the Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint. Now some might question how can a chocolate shop be disappointing. Well I've had this experience elsewhere. I was greeted warmly by a young lady and she asked if I'd like a sample. I tried the dark chocolate cognac and it was so smooth and delicious. I was impressed because usually dark chocolate is too bitter for my palate, however this was perfect. I took my time selecting 2 build your own boxes and got other treats to share when I return home. The shop wasn't busy and the ladies were so friendly that it was easy for me to take my time deciding on the options I wanted. It's a quiet shop and the smells are very inviting. The workers mentioned they make shakes as well, but I was headed for lunch so didn't try one. Maybe next time. And there will be a next time. Also they told me I can order online and have shipped out of state. Wooooohoooo!!!

I only tried the pastries, and they were all delicious! ** Kalamansi coconut cake (5/5): my favorite of the lot! It was dense and creamy with its layers of dark chocolate ganache. The mint white chocolate layer on top didn't taste like mint but had a nice sweetness and worked well with the richness and dark chocolatey goodness of the rest of the cake. Didn't really taste the kalamansi but it was still super tasty! :) ** Chocolate celebration cake (4/5): nothing too unique about this except that it tasted of really high quality ingredients and was extra chocolatey! The cake had a hint of bitterness that paired well with the slightly sweetened frosting-- definitely rich but earned that "not too sweet" description. ** Double chocolate chip cookie (4/5): a crust/hard crumb + dense and slightly chewy in the middle with the chips providing textual contrast. It was the most bitter / intensely chocolate pick of the haul, but it was pretty tasty :) ** Apple donut (4/5): this would be my surprise pick; it sounded weird but the chocolate ganache filling worked well inside with the apple filling which wasn't overly syrupy or sweet! ** Miso blondie (3.5/5): drawn by the promise of miso and black sesame, but it didn't really deliver. It was a tasty dessert, but tasted more "normal" than expected. Definitely has the black sesame, but I couldn't taste any of it. I happily gobbled it up though~ Open everyday starting at 7 am until 9/10 pm and definitely busier on weekends (items sold out midday!). I wish I'd bought four my last day in Vegas because Dad accidentally ate the one for Mom instead of his apple pastry ... and he said there wasn't any filling. Yes, there wasn't supposed to be filling in the crispy, flaky, cinnamon sugar dusted DKA! I first had Cronuts at Paris Baguette so I knew what I was about to experience back at the Grove in 2019. I ordered one here in Vegas and this month's flavor was coconut creme. Very light in flavor, same heaviness I've gotten used to from croissant donuts. They were also offering milk chocolate flavor this month that I wasn't aware of when ordering. I wanted to try the madeleines after gifting a friend the new IOTA hand cream made in partnership with DA himself. I ordered the lemon madeleines instead and was confused since they were coated in this earl grey white chocolate. The madeleine was drenched in maybe milk so it was so soft like tres leches with a lemon custard center. I went back the next day and ordered fresh, piped and baked to order mini madeleines-- twenty pieces for ~$12?! I should've bought at least two orders! And they smell just like the hand cream! So I went and bought myself the cream from ULTA to remember my DA Vegas breakfast runs while staying at Caesar's Palace. Also, my sister LOVES the pain au chocolat! She had it twice and probably should've bought more. It's pricey at $10 but worth the splurge. DKAs also run at $10 each. Get a nice four piece box as a gift for about $41. Oh! I forgot I bought three canelés. Ended up eating two of them. Opt for the bag instead of the box to save money. Custardy center with a chewy exterior, tastes a bit like slightly burnt brown sugar, in the best way possible. Finally tried the infamous chocolate chip cookie shot with steamed Madagascar vanilla milk! The cookie is warmed in their oven for ultimate melty chocolate-ness. I'm glad I shared this. Maybe I'll try the torched marshmallow ice cream bar one day. Staff is super sweet and friendly. Line goes by quickly. They have a few tables to sit at for a quick snack or breakfast.
