In the end, he did quality work and promptly replaced my water valves for my washer/dryer supply line. However, he would not explain how long the job would take, how much the parts would cost, or how much he charged for labor beforehand. He also suggested installing additional safety valves in my that were entirely unnecessary, which I only figured out by talking to my HOA. He gave the flat rate for what he would charge for the job, which was $600. It turns out that the job only took 10 minutes to complete, after which he still would not provide an itemized invoice for the parts and labor. He ultimately agreed to charge $500, which still feels like an outrageous and dishonest amount all things considered.
