Our order isn't even complete and I have to give them 5-stars!…read more After our horrendous experience with the Ashley Furniture store in Silverdale (feel free to read that reward -- buyer BEWARE), hubby and I were driving up to a boat gig in Anacortes and took the "scenic" way around Oak Harbor (meaning, not on Hwy 20). We happened to be stopped at the light by NAS Whidbey and I chanced to look over and said "Hey, Furniture World!" We had recently visited the Furniture World in Bremerton but weren't able to find any living room set that slammed our doors, so I was reluctant to go in when my husband suggested it. Now, I'm SO glad we did. We met Shawn, who was super helpful and gave us the layout of the store and then let us look around. When he came to check on us, I shared with him the debacle we had with Ashley and he asked which set we had been looking at. Fortunately I had taken a picture of it at the time and was able to give him the name... ..and as it turned out, he had the set RIGHT THERE in the showroom. Virtually brand-spanking new! He didn't have the chair or the ottoman there, but was able to find out that there were chairs in the distribution center that could be delivered to the Bremerton store (closer to us) by December 5th, and the ottoman would likely be available sometime around Jan 6-11. And the sofa and loveseat...he offered to let us buy the set right there off the floor! His team meticulously plastic wrapped the furniture and had it ready for us when we came through the next day on our way home. We were able to get one piece in our SUV and the "boys" (his helpers) were able to help my husband load the other piece on the roof! Shawn clearly understands customer service, so much that we would likely consider driving to Oak Harbor again (quite a bit out of our way and a ferry ride to boot) if we are in search of furniture. I have to write this review now, even though we haven't received the chair or ottoman yet. I just KNOW that, if there any delays, Shawn will get in touch with us right away and help make good on our order!

They were more than willing to bargain, I'm a Dutchman, and a bargain is a #1 requirement with me and we worked out a great deal. Turns out "the boss" really was the boss, as he was part owner in the business. I was able to do a great deal with him that saved my daughter a bunch of money. The furniture we chose was locally made of REAL wood, not partial board. It is a very pleasing design and they delivered and set the whole room up too and took away the packaging. If you're looking for new furniture you will not be disappointed, shop local and get personable old fashioned service with a smile and a handshake. Places like Ashley's, Leon's and The Brick haven't got a hope of matching the pleasant experience we had at Fraser Furniture in Abbotsford. Here are reasons why: *They have great selections, including food items. *Very well stocked and organized. *Employees are friendly and nice. HomeGoods is owned by the same company that owns TJ Maxx and Marchalls. Here are a couple of main differences between HomeGoods and other discount stores ('+' for a pro; '-' for a con): +Prices are great at HomeGoods but they don't (seem to) sell things just because they were able to buy random closeout items. Each item you find on the shelf, you can find multiple of them. If you go to other stores, including its sister stores and definitely Ross, you often find random assortments of things. +HomeGoods, at least at this location, is very well stocked with food items. I was able to find Italian cookies I could not find anywhere else in town. -HomeGoods does not sell apparel. I'm sure I will come back here often. In response to my call, Murphy made an appointment with me to come over and diagnose the problem, ordered a new motor and when it arrived, both Murphy and Scott installed the new motor.
