We decided to have our living room floors finished which were under wall-to-wall carpet. We knew from the previous owner that there had been some damage to the floors, that's why there was carpet down. Iulian removed the carpet and we saw the damage. WOW! It was a difficult job to patch up the damaged floor. Iulian had to shore up the damaged area and then find old wood to match the existing wood floors. He did a great job!! Iulian (the owner) and his assistant did a fantastic job "tightening" and refinishing ladder-pattern parquet floors in my condo. This was not a standard refinishing project; it required someone with Iulian's knowledge and expertise. The price was appropriate, if not a bit low, for the amount of work involved. We needed 2,000 square feet of Brazilian cherry hardwood flooring refinished throughout a 3-bedroom condo unit. The results and process were wonderful. Iulian and crew made everything look like new again, including a burn mark in the kitchen and warped wood next to the washer-dryer. It was a very clean process, with no cleanup for us afterward. Crew were sensitive to neighbors and careful to protect the HVAC system from dust. The results were beautiful. We couldn't tell that any damage had ever occurred. From start to finish they exceeded our expectations. Our project was about 1,000 square feet and included removal of carpet and tile, installation of hardwood flooring and stain and finish. Iulian arrived on time to bid on the project and provided a thorough analysis and answered every question and provided a very fair and competitive bid to secure the job.The overall work from start to finish was very meticulous. We are about three months beyond the finished work and they look as great as the day they were completed. Iulian also stopped by a few days after completion to make sure we were happy with the work and provided us insights into caring and cleaning the floors. Iulian did a fabulous job...our floors have never looked so great! We moved into our 130 year old house 30 years ago, and the floors didn't look very good then. I never had them refinished until now. Iulian gave me an estimate for the refinishing, and came up with a brilliant solution to a logistical problem. He was also able to fit our job in when we wanted/needed it. I have never seen someone work as hard or efficiently as he did. And I was shocked at how little dust there was. Iulian put some plastic up over some doorways to keep the dust from spreading, but I'm not sure he even needed to do that. He has a positive, can-do attitude, and between that and his incredible work ethic and his gift for turning old, worn floors into looking like new, I wish I could give him more than five stars. SO thrilled with how my new floors turned out. Lulian and Sebastian were a dynamic duo. They came in and helped me with everything from determining what my floors needed to meeting a very tight deadline. Sebastian worked EARLY and through the entire day. I asked some neighbors in Edgebrook for a reco for refinishing my floors and decided on Eternity Floors after all the feedback. I was in contact with Julien who was professional, courteous and informative. I had just moved into the house which had carpeting and pet stains that came through into the floors. I was prepared to have to stain them dark even though I preferred a light color but figured they were too damaged. Julien and Sebastian stripped the floors and invited me back to look at them. They looked so amazing that I was able to go with my original light color preference. Miracle workers!!They had a special machine to capture the dust and everything. I think they left the place cleaner than how they found it:-). I have since had them back for another project so they basically have refinished all the wooden floors throughout my entire house now. ilulian and Sebastian are quite possibly two of the hardest working contractors I have ever witnessed in the 30 years Ive owned my house. From the initial estimate meeting to their promptness, considerations, knowledge of their craft, price, and finished work all met and exceeded expectations. I would definetely tell you to at least get a quote from these guys when getting work on your floors. For us, they took an aged floor that was covered with decayed rug matting and made it look like a 5 star dwelling that would rent in a second. Kudos! read more
