Went here while in Paris on vacation. Really had a great meal and overall very good experience. We were greeted by Chef Bernard Pinaud the who has Michelin star to his credit and well deserved. We also were able to meet the three Michelin star chef Christian Le Squer who runs the big brother of this restaurant, Pavillion Ledoyen. He actually invited us there for lunch be despite all of our attempts we could not change our AM train ticket (depression).
In terms of our meal here it was great. The initial appetizers were a mushroom cooked 2 ways, this dish had me ready to lick the plate, just delicious. The French really know how to use mushrooms! The second was a true piece of art (see photo), a green puree with mackerel and dabs of brilliant chili souce/spice. Taken all in one bite really made for a tasty dish. The final appetizer was black ravioli filled w/ brazed beef, Delicious.
The main courses were a John Dory fish over a puree, this fish was really good cooked perfectly. The leeks that accompanied it were awesome as well. My dish was beef (can't remember the cut) but it was really tasty with mushrooms strewn across the plate to a onion/crisp almost a tart that was really good. My friend had the duck breast that he devoured, this was tasty as well and I'm not a duck person.
The dessert were excellent as well, the homemade ice cream was great and the dished were beautiful to look at (see photos). It's been to long for me to remember the details of the dessert but the photos speak for themselves.
Overall a really great restaurant and not too hard on the wallet. The decor was very modern yet classy. Would highly recommend etc... read more
