The staff are very nice. The place seems very clean. We ordered a bunch of cooked items; beef skewers (a bit spicy) dumplings, teriyaki snapper, squid and chicken. Some shrimp tempura and spring rolls. We got kani salad and seaweed salad. A udon soup (it is very small ) got some sashimi and Two rolls. Favorite items were shrimp tempura and the snapper teriyaki. The sashimi was very good. We hated the rolls. The squid teriyaki was really rubbery! Nothing was really super yummy. To be fair, I really do not like AYCE places in general. If you're into AYCE this place would probably be good. read more

Sometimes great things happen without you looking for it. So, my asawa and I were in the Rockaways enjoying the sounds and fresh ocean air, as well as finding beautiful rocks for our continuing rock collections. Then this hidden gem smacked us in the face with delicious food, excellent service, and nicely appointed dining room. We were astounded and asked them when are they open? One of the servers responded that they are open 24/7! That's so sad that these hard working young ladies are being so ruthlessly exploited! We gave them a generous tip and we hope the owner reviews this review and sees how poorly they are being treated and gives them time off as they deserve it! read more

So I've been a fan of e sushi since the first location that burned down. Used to live walking distance from there. They were always on point and fresh. When that location burned down, we started going to the second location on ocean Ave. Then I moved back to Rockaway and was so excited to see the third location here! My 4 year old loves this place as much as he loves the location on ocean Ave. The food is delicious and fresh and the staff is very friendly and attentive and you can't beat the price. Decent AYCE sushi place for $30. Sushi is all pretty good and standard for AYCE. Appetizers are alright, nothing special. It pretty quiet in here every time I've gone. Wait staff is nice, no issues. My friend and I are on vacation in NY and saw the yelp reviews for this place and thought it would be good. We got fried calamari, gyoza, volcano rolls, and tempura. The calamari and tempura had no flavor while the calamari was chewy in a not good way. The gyoza and volcano rolls were okay but there was no real wow factor about them. I rarely leave reviews so when I do just know it's cause it was horrible. Today, I went here with my mother, my two-year-old brother and my eight year-old sister after a wonderful beach day we thought perhaps maybe we would love some sushi. We stumbled upon this place, and immediately upon walking in, the servers were very rude to us and didn't acknowledge us (Obviously because we were American). You can already feel it. We sit at the table. They don't even explain the concept of the all you can eat to us so we don't really know what we're doing. We order our food we say "thank you" countless times we say "please" countless times and they just look at us with dirty looks on their face. Finally, we get our food and that was the most disgusting part ever. I love sushi. I eat it all the time!! this sushi at this specific place was the same grade of sushi from Walmart and ShopRite I'm not exaggerating. I've actually had better sushi at Sarku Japan and Panda Express .It was horrible. The rolls were messy. They weren't stuffed correctly and all the meat was not fresh. We ordered crab rolls, and while I was expecting imitation crab, This was the bottom barrel most cheap imitation crab I've ever had in my entire life The fish here was not fresh whatsoever. My family, and I clearly were upset with our service because they were very rude to us and the food was gross. We kept trying to order different things on the menu to see if it would redeem itself, but it never did. towards the end of our dinner. Our bill skyrocket at $115. This is for two adults and 8 year-old. for that Price You could've had a full course meal somewhere else with better service a cleaner atmosphere And better tasting food. I handed the waitress $120. I did not want to tip and usually I am a big tipper!! but when I say they were so mean to us, at this restaurant, I didn't feel comfortable tipping. She took my $120. Didn't ask if I wanted change and walked away with it. I proceeded to stand in front of them waiting for my $5 back and they looked at me and laughed and started speaking to each other in their native language at this point, I don't even care about how bad the service was and how dirty the atmosphere was. I would absolutely never cause a scene and disrespect someone over $5. I'm really more worked up about the fact that our food was literally disgusting within 45 minutes of us leaving this restaurant, we got severe stomach pain. This leads me to believe that that fish was not fresh whatsoever. This was a horrible experience and I will never go back here. Please tread lightly at this place and take my word if you are someone who genuinely appreciates good sushi you will immediately tell the difference here. **editing this to also mentions the calamari was stale as if it's been sitting out, and the rice was soaking wet** lol I'm sorry this Is so long, I've never had an experience like this so I have to rant!! read more

Amazing food! I love the variety of food choices. My favorite was the eel sushi, rock shrimp, and bbq squid. they were all so delicious! The dessert ice cream was also good. They have my go-to flavor, green tea. Great service and environment, Answered all of our questions regarding to the menu. Great restaurant! would definitely visit again in the near future even though it is far from my place. read more
