I cannot say enough amazing things about Jane. My daughter has been in counseling for about 3 years…read morenow and we never saw any results until we started seeing Jane. Jane doesn't just help our daughter, she has given me countless tools as well. I finally feel like I'm actually equipped to be a parent for the first time in 10 years. I also picked up her book Raising Humane Beings and I couldn't put it down. I read the whole thing in 2 days and had so many "ah-ha" moments. The way I parent has basically done a complete 180 since meeting Jane and our family feels so much more calm and connected now. Jane was born to do this work. I've even decided to start going to her myself for non-parenting counseling as well. If you want actual results from counseling, look no further. Jane is the real deal. Edit: After reading through some of the other reviews I feel the need to add that some of the tools Jane offers may not be considered "conventional"... and that's a GOOD THING. That's why her tools actually work. Don't expect the same old song and dance you're going to get from any counselor you go to. If you go into therapy with an open mind and a willingness to do the work, you will see results immediately. An example for me was her "talking stick" exercise. I thought to myself "there's no freaking way out family is going to sit down and do talking stick"... and after Jane had my daughter and I practice it in a session, it's our new favorite thing! It instantly made me feel so much more connected to my daughter and helped her feel heard and validated. But again, having an open mind and being willing to try something different is key. You have to actually want your situation to change, otherwise no counselor or amount of therapy will work. Seems like the only negative reviews were from people that either never actually had a session with her, or went in and didn't try the tools she recommended, which says less about Jane and more about the reviewer IMO.

Since meeting Jane, my relationship with my partner has transcended any space it's been in before…read more We have ben able to lean into the tools and see real change occur between us. It was difficult and the methods never felt helpful in the moment because of our patterns but we learned that they were doing deeper work in spite of our resistance. While there's a long road ahead, we finally feel like we're in sync.

So far my therapist has been…read moregreat overall, and the pharmacy staff are AMAZING, but the reception staff who answer the phones and check patients in are just awful. They are cold, uncaring, unsympathetic, and downright lazy. When I first checked in they were all sitting around eating food, playing on their phones, and talking with each other. I had to wait for them to finish a conversation about in-office gossip before they even acknowledged I was standing there. After an hour of waiting I went to ask why my appointment was scheduled an hour ago and I was still waiting, and I believe they never even finished checking me in the first time because after the 2nd time I went to the counter my therapist came to get me within 5 minutes. In addition to that, they just don't answer the damn phones and sometimes straight up ignore them ringing. When they DO answer the phone, they will put you on hold. Then another person will pick up the phone 5 minutes later and put you BACK on hold. Eventually you will end up at the voice-mailbox but they will never return your call. I tried for three days straight, calling 4-5 times per day over a 4 hour period, and each and every time I ended up leaving a voicemail that never got returned. When I was there for my appointment there were 4 receptionists and not a single one of them were doing their damn job. If they replace the front-office staff then this could be a decent facility, but until then I suggest finding another mental-health care facility.

My experience here was horrible. I was persuaded to return "for my own good" after suggestions that…read more I was "too sensitive" and so on. This is a terrible place. The counselors have questionable training, shaky ethics and often seem to bring personal bias to their interactions with clients. There is a streak of cruelty and a disingenuous quality to their advice. Record keeping is sloppy and test results lost. At one point they insisted that I'd never had a particular test, thus nothing to report. Some weeks later, the results miraculously surfaced. Sadly, many of the clientele appear to be extremely vulnerable folk with limited choices. I realized that I had a choice. I heartily recommend that you avoid Terros. This place is toxic.

I would say that Diane Genco is a danger for clients who regularly have suicidal ideation but…read moreclarify that they have no intention of following through with it . Several years ago I was in several groups led by Diane and was having individual therapy sessions as well . I remember one session I had with Diane during a particularly bad week . I began the session with her by responding to her question of what my mental status was like . I always believe in being honest and transparent with the therapists I have had in the past . I told Diane that I was having ideations of hurting myself but had no intention of following through with it . As soon as I said that , she ended the session and informed me that she was no longer going to see me in individual therapy. The reason I say that she is dangerous because she had no idea what I was thinking and sent me out of her office to go home in an unstable condition made worse by her actions. Her behavior was extremely damaging to my psyche . I felt rejected . I felt as though she wasn't willing to help me process what I was thinking and let me go home alone without any intervention at all . I should mention my diagnoses are depression, anxiety, C-PTSD, and I am a childhood trauma victim. I believe her actions were unethical and dangerous .

They made me have my dr send over a prior authorization just so…read morethey can "review my case" to see if my case is something they can see me for and see if I really need therapy. Every time I call to see when I can make an appointment they say the supervisor will call me and it's now me if October and nothing. They obviously don't care about patients and their need to talk to a therapist. SMH.
