He also assured me that I did nothing wrong and therapist aren't allowed to reserve unscheduled spots here. That has also been my experience in the past with my old therapist. If I didn't schedule out far enough, then another client could schedule and I'd just have to miss out or schedule the next available day that that time was open. It's first come first serve so what Stacy did was wrong. I was then paired with Dr. D whom I saw for a few months and definitely felt much safer. Then due to availability, I switched to Sally and wow. She is the perfect therapist for me. I don't plan on leaving Desert Sage while they have a gem like Sally there. Thank you all for reaching out to me.

Disappointing and obnoxiously unavailable…read more All of my kids have attended therapy here at one point or another, and two shared the same therapist. One of my children needed consistent support but was suddenly dropped as a client under false circumstances. When I tried to find a different therapist, per my child's request and the advice of other medical professionals, I attempted to stay with the practice. An appointment was made with a new therapist, only for the practice to later cancel it and say my child was restricted to seeing only one other therapist, without providing any explanation. That therapist had limited availability, which would have required me to pull my child from school inconsistently. When I explained that wouldn't work, I was told, "Well, maybe this isn't the right practice for you." Not my child, me. I was advocating for my child to receive consistent care, and that response was incredibly disappointing. Don't waste your time here, you'll end up needing more therapy than what you walked in with.

Hopefully somebody on their end will see this, and realize that their receptionist is not doing their job. I would be glad to change this review if the issues can get resolved. I would also hope that this doesn't happen to anybody else. Oh... and if somebody replies from their office saying it is an insurance problem... it's crap, because I have the same exact insurance as the 2 other people I know attending their office. Either way, even if it is an "insurance issue", which it's not... You could at least oblige me, and call me back to confirm the issue, and not make me call repeatedly, begging for somebody to give me status updates. I actually brought this up at the end of my appointment and was given excuses like, "oh, I have been telling them to clean for months," and "I didn't realize the chair was that dirty because I don't sit on that side of the room." As far as the person I talked to, she had the radio on the entire time next to her and kept saying, "pardon me?" when I would talk, because she could obviously not hear me over the radio. I went in to talk about possible depression, within ten minutes, she was saying how pills can "lift the fog," I expressed not wanting to go straight to medication as an answer, and she said, "I didn't say you should." She was very argumentative and told me things like, "maybe you should get a new job," and "don't worry about your kids, if they haven't burnt down the house, they're fine." Never again.
