Changed my review based on new experiences here. Someone reached out to me and asked me about what…read moreI experienced. He apologized which meant a lot. He also assured me that I did nothing wrong and therapist aren't allowed to reserve unscheduled spots here. That has also been my experience in the past with my old therapist. If I didn't schedule out far enough, then another client could schedule and I'd just have to miss out or schedule the next available day that that time was open. It's first come first serve so what Stacy did was wrong. I was then paired with Dr. D whom I saw for a few months and definitely felt much safer. Then due to availability, I switched to Sally and wow. She is the perfect therapist for me. I don't plan on leaving Desert Sage while they have a gem like Sally there. Thank you all for reaching out to me.

Disappointing and obnoxiously unavailable…read more All of my kids have attended therapy here at one point or another, and two shared the same therapist. One of my children needed consistent support but was suddenly dropped as a client under false circumstances. When I tried to find a different therapist, per my child's request and the advice of other medical professionals, I attempted to stay with the practice. An appointment was made with a new therapist, only for the practice to later cancel it and say my child was restricted to seeing only one other therapist, without providing any explanation. That therapist had limited availability, which would have required me to pull my child from school inconsistently. When I explained that wouldn't work, I was told, "Well, maybe this isn't the right practice for you." Not my child, me. I was advocating for my child to receive consistent care, and that response was incredibly disappointing. Don't waste your time here, you'll end up needing more therapy than what you walked in with.

I felt an instant connection with her and her warm, nurturing presence can be felt through the video call. I felt like I had known her for years on our very first call. I was referred to her from a friend but when I read her website and all of the things she is trained in I knew she was the therapist I had been searching for, for years. Being a former athlete and now yoga teacher and holistic wellness practitioner I really recognize her skillset and professionalism and appreciate it greatly. I truly believe that because of her soma (body) awareness and somatic experiencing training it sets her above the mark and helps you have something to anchor into while you're in your everyday life. I live with chronic medical challenges and Ria has helped me anchor into this experience more than any therapist ever has. Thank you Ria for all you do to make an impact in my life and the lives of others. I appreciate you! Oh and if you're reading this and you're on the fence about seeking help...schedule an appointment with Ria, you won't regret it!

As a CAA she recommended returning custody to a man with 41 missed U/A's 10 positive for opiates who can not hold a job and bankrupt but had the funds for whiskey. She failed to review his medical records even when asked given he'd been hospitalized for addiction over 6 times. Had not visited his daughter in 4 years and recommended counseling for the opposing when there was no diagnosis and she legally can not diagnose anyone without a license and she called not one witness (Over 20 were provided) that knew the child said she did not have time to read the over 200 pages that were sent to her. She had from July to November. Charged $700 for the 1 hour web meeting she rolled her eyes through a lot of it and told me how to go about filing severance but sent the child back to unsupervised to father who had not been visiting at all. She would not take calls from child's teacher who wanted to report something. She ignored documentation of 4 other women father was abusive towards. She did not call child care provider or meet the child she took the testimony of the opposing parties council Maria Lawrence of Lawrence Law and ran with it who is facing a second bar complaint for lying about father's sobriety along with her client. May they rot in the darkest pit of hell.
