I recently had an emergency and my adult daughter took me there ended being admitted from 4/28…read morethroughout Sunday. I ended up with a male nurse during the day. He was terrible. He would play around with other staff members and was on the phone with his wife. Gossip about patients. He did so right out my room door stating he didn't want to enter my room. I was purposely last on his list. My morning medications were late. It was an hour and a half before he came to me. He was training a young lady who was in school to be a nurse. Mind you this is my 2nd day there. I reported him and the charge nurse spoke with him outside near my door. He spoke of untruths about me, saying I kept interrupting him. I asked for help. He was sitting outside my door not working on the computer just gossiping and flirting with other staff members. I am hearing all of this. I heard speak terribly about his cna, telling others she was coming on to him while he was outside my door to his wife. The charge nurse told him when I try to ask him something and the timing is good for him to excuse himself and tell me he must use the bathroom. Then they switched ky rooms down to the second floor. This was my 3rd time at banner and each time gets worse. In my own personal opinion, if you are hired for a job then do your job. If you don't have time right then say so. Yet, if you are not on a break and not helping another patient or staff member then you need to do your job. You should NEVER SPEAK ILL OF PATIENTS OUTSIDE THEIR DOOR. I had 6 kids and as my grandmother would say is I can hear a pin drop. Never again Banner never again. I am even gonna switch my cardiologist from banner to another doctor outside of banner. Your staff is horrible. They are luke children and work is where they come to play. The day nurse who was male was horrible not realizing his voice carries and even a whisper can be heard. My hospital out west is Abrazo West.

It's time to buy some new cots for people who wish to stay overnight with family. Or repair the ones you have. My poor back will never be the same. Please reconsider the food options in the cafeteria and vending machines. Limited to no healthy, low carb or low/no sugar options are available. Even adding a freezer section and stocking it with Lean Cuisines or Healthy Choice meals would be a welcomed improvement! Yogurt with low/no sugar and more fruit without fructose syrup is a must. Add some more coffee makers, you run out too frequently. The salad selections are good. The soups are extremely salty.

Drove all the way across the valley to have a nurse take my blood pressure, leave me in a room for 40 minutes, then tell me Nawaz didn't feel like he needed to see me. No other explanation. When I tried to call to get my copay back, they just told me I needed to speak to someone in a different department and put me in a loop of "on hold" until someone would just hang up on me or I'd get a voicemail. I never got my copay back, or any reimbursement for my travel. I had his office refer me to some woman at another Banner Scam center, drove all the way across the valley again to see her and her little team, just to have her basically call me a hypochondriac. I still have the same issues years later. Don't go to Banner Health. Ever. If you have no choice, refuse to pay your copay until you've actually been seen, because they'll steal it and shut you out.

Very Disappointed!! I had VSG surgery a couple years ago in…read morethe Chicagoland area and moved to Arizona last year. Wanting to continue my progress and follow-up care, I tried joining the WLI of Arizona just to find out that I would need to pay an upfront $500 fee to join their clinic. My insurance does allow for after-care with bariatric surgery, however no coverage for surgery and I can't believe that I would have to pay $500 upfront to establish care.... I really just wanted to join a group with similar bariatric issues for support and to continue my progress and stay healthy from my surgery. After viewing their commercial, I was really looking forward to partnering up with WLI of Arizona. :( Update: 8/1/2018 - After switching jobs and having new insurance that fully covers bariatric surgery and aftercare, I am now a patient of WLIOA and working with the doctors and nutritionist on for continued follow-up without the $500 up front cost to join their facility for continued care.
