Over the experience was OK but not enough to ever go back. Staff was nice but $89 (groupon price) for a 30 min facial is a ripoff. Most places are about $60/hour I have come to find out. Head, face, and multiple areas missed, therapist stated only areas in pain was his focus even after verbally communicated about missed areas, zero availability of towels needed for additional draping. 90 mins only affords 80 mins of actual treatment time. Front staff offered a printed membership deals w/complimentary massage but was snatched back from manager directly after I verbally stated not receiving 90 mins of treatment. Immediately felt devalued and unwanted as a guest, future client and was told only then about only receiving 80 min treatment for paid 90 min fees/costs. Was asked how my massage experience was but also told they have other therapists without really having any insights or concerns over my investment of large time, huge costs and accommodations of adjusting my time for their scheduling issues, after booking my original time frame. Honestly at their therapist request of not judging the treatment without allowing a few days to really experience the benefits of his work,...plus resummarizing the entire experience on their survey requested, only to receive the very same devalued tone and treatment from Micheal Weiss stating they do not massage face and other sensitive areas leaves a very devalued customer lost. I was completely clear when I asked questions while I booked 90 mins hoping to afford enough time for therapist to accomplish head to toe, front/back treatment plus I am average size and height. Plus I have received many massages that gives the time as booked, plus never avoided head, face, pects, lower back etc. plus therapists that accepted communication from their clients. Honestly for the value, quality of treatment and professional courtesy this location and business policies and management left me so depleted financially and so dishearted. I still left a cash tip for the therapist provider close to 20% . Not a positive plus at all.

One night I went to Bull Dogs Restaurant and I was in so much pain and our waitress Alexa suggested I see her mom who did cold laser therapy that could improve tissue repair and reduce pain an inflammation. I hurt quite a bit so I made an appointment for the next day and when I arrived I could not get out of my car. Bent over in pain I went in and was very optimistic. The appointment was 100% pain free, the room and environment was very relaxing and Kim was so calming. I had 600 questions and she answered every one of them and was completely understanding. I was literally afraid to get up off of the table, I had a noticeable difference in my pain level. I had two more treatments, the last was June 6, 2017 and I am blown away by my improvement. Increased mobility, reduced pain and best yet...NO surgery, NO needles, NO drugs, NO therapy, NO uncomfortable Doctor visits. I have bulging disks at L4 & L5 plus Osteoarthritis of the spine. I can with 100% confidence recommend Bella Medica. Kim is certified with many different pieces of equipment and depending on your diagnosis, she might just be the miracle you were looking for. It was easy to communicate & they were prepared when I arrived for my appointment. It is a very clean salon, which I've learned isn't easy to find in McHenry. They take pride in their place & it shows. Staff was nice & made you their focus which is always nice. No chip manicure - I went with French. Good job. I struggle to hav nail growth. I did feel like it was a rushed job, but it's been almost a week & they are doing well. My cuticles always need work & I am not that satisfied with how they look 5 days later. Standard pedicure - it was just that. No frills, but in a good way. They were mindful of water temp & your comfort. I asked for them to pick color since they know what looks best & is popular. Happy with the color. Nail shaping & cuticle's could have received more attention, but in no way was it a bad job. Also, probably needed color applied 3x vs 1. My heels are actually soft & they did very thorough pumice work. Many salons have drastically increased prices & its well over $100 for a mani & pedi which is why I hadn't been going as often as usual. Pricing here was very fair & what I think is reasonable: $65-70 No Chip $35 French Tip $5 Standard Pedicure $30 Customers were all also "kind" atmosphere & it wasn't a loud TV overly gossipy & judgy culture which is also great.
