Such a cute salon! As for someone who does not pamper herself enough, after getting my nails done with Linda... I want to keep coming back! Such a relaxing environment and was very pleased with the service. read more

Kelsey is great. Enjoyed my visit very much, good selection of services. Liked my facial, eyelash lift and tint and brow tint.

Cute salon! Linda, the owner is great! She gave me a wonderful Spa Pedicure, as well as a manicure. She is very thorough, and really takes care of her clients! I went back yesterday, and had her give me a haircut. I'm so pleased with the way she listens, and offers suggestions. I love my new cut! Do yourself a favor, and check out Lavish Salon Spa! read more

The first time I went, she had just opened in the new building the day before so I gave her some slack. I waited almost 45 minutes because she forgot to transfer me over to the other book - 30 due to another customer and 15 for cleanup and a few walk in questions. She was pleasant but did tried to convince me to wash my hair a different way and buy the products she had. Some of that was expected. Went to pay and the credit card machine was not set up so, we had to work out another solution. I had an event coming up in a few weeks, so we set up another appointment and she would honor my coupon for a free style since I really just wanted a cut at that appointment. Leading up to the appointment, I did not receive a reminder call. First thought that things had not improved. Went to the appointment and waited outside (since there is no room to wait inside her booth). She was with someone and never acknowledged that I was waiting. 15 minutes later, I left. She was no where near done with the other client and had no clue she had an appointment waiting. She is a nice person. Her ability to organize and run a business, I am not sure is really there. read more

Highly recommend a visit to this salon! Linda, the owner, gave me the best pedicure that I ever had. My feet, legs and toes were totally spoiled. Linda is highly knowledgeable and so willing to impart that knowledge to others. The newest member of the staff at Lavish, Kristen is so friendly and gave me a wonderful facial and recommended some great products that Lavish sells. I think I could sum up these services with 2 words....SPOILED ROTTEN. You will be so glad to try this Salon. Check out Groupon for some outstanding deals! read more

This place is awesome! My mother and I had been going to the owner's previous salon for many years (6+) and when she said she was opening a new salon/spa, we knew we had to visit. The decor inside is great, the staff is always friendly, and the owner takes good care of her salon. I would highly recommend this salon/spa to anyone in McHenry county, they do just about anything you could want in a salon/spa, including massages, manicures, pedicures, hair, makeup, and brow waxing. read more

I saw recent reviews for this salon, from faceless reviewers with no reviews no less, and figured that it's high time I finish my review. Sure, it's been awhile since I've been back here but let's be honest...I will NOT be going back here again. I just hope that maybe... just maybe...there have been some improvements or another stylist on board because the owner just can't cut it (pun intended) on her own! I've been a McHenry transplant from the city for a few years now and, even though I LOVE my city stylist, figured that it'd be good to go someplace local and cheaper once in awhile. I like to have my hair did but man, my city guy's prices are a bit much sometimes. Lavish is close to home, looked pretty nice, fancy website, and well, hey, let's give some $ to local businesses, right? Here's how my appointment went. I waited over 30 minutes before my stylist came to get me and was never greeted by the receptionist who was really just wandering around the place looking for something to do. The consultation went ok when I was finally in the chair so I thought, ok... good things come to those who wait, right? WRONG. She continued with washing my hair and talked about how I don't wash my hair right and how I use the wrong products. Asked me what I liked about my hair at least 3 times and then sat me back at her station... to wait even more. A massage client was there asking about a gift certificate, but I guess the receptionist couldn't handle it so she took another 20 minutes out of my appointment to handle the situation. After all of that she continued to try to persuade me to color my hair..right then and there...all while another client was waiting for her appoinment after me. Was she going to have that person wait while she applied the color or what? There wasn't another stylist there to do it, plus I waited for her for almost an hour and actually had a commitment after my appointment that I was worried about missing. I almost could've handled all of that craziness if my hair looked alright and I would've given her another chance, but god...worse haircut I've ever had. Took me about a month for it to grow out to where it looked right. ugh. The worse thing about it is that I had bad hair for my fiance's work party that night and it was first time I've ever met some of his colleagues, who I swear only know me as the girl with the bad bangs now. If there is a good salon in McHenry Co. please let me know because this place just isn't it. read more

The staff are super friendly and really down to earth. I have had Stephanie do my nails a few times now and she does a wonderful job. Bonus - She will have you falling out of your chair laughing. She pays attention to detail and she does all her nail art free hand. Amazing artist! I won't be going anywhere else. I love this place! I haven't had my hair cut in a very long time as every place I go, no one listens to what I want and they just cut. My hair was pretty much down to my rear end and all one length. I wanted something a little different. Linda was amazing!! Came up with suggestions and gave me the best advice on do's and don'ts with cut and color. Needless to say, she really wowed me with what she did to my hair. Talented woman. It really looks amazing. I am totally in love with my hair (never thought I'd say that). I will be coming back for not only my nails but my hair as well. It's really hard to find a good stylist but to have an amazing nail artist and stylist in the same place. Huge bonus!! read more

I enjoy going to Linda at Lavish Salon. She listens to what I am looking for and gives me suggestions which I appreciate. Her years of experience qualify her to handle my hair in the way it needs to be treated. Very happy with my latest visit! read more

I received a groupon as a gift and went for a pedicure. The pedicure was great and my feet felt amazing! Linda was so nice and accommodating that I came back to have her cut and dye my hair a few days later. She did a great job and was awesome about educating me along the way. I'm not one to normally buy products from salons, but she suggested a great hard water product that is working wonders on my hair! I will definitely be returning. read more

Lavish is great. I had my first massage there a few weeks ago and I loved it. The owner and her employees are great. They make you feel comfortable and relaxed the minute you walk in the door. I won the 30 minute massage and my only complaint...is to never only get a 30 min. massage...it is a tease. :) I walked out of Lavish feeling relaxed and fresh. I will be going back (for a longer massage) and I would recommend the spa to anyone. read more

I will not be going back. --wish I would have read this reviews first. I found them on Groupon and thought I would give them a try. I got the Groupon as a gift and it expired a few days before I had time to use it. I called to see if they would still take it (left a message). While waiting for a call back I thought I would just make the appointment through their online service. A few minutes later, I got a call back and was asked if I could move my time from 9 to 9:30 and that they would look at the Groupon situation for me. At first thought, they were very nice and I was okay with moving my time. The day of my appointment...I got there a few minutes early. When I walked in, it was a little awkward. Once greeted, I just stood there (no where to sit) until I was finally told that I could sit outside in the hall while they finished up the girl before me, that they would come get me, and that it wouldn't be much longer. Fast forward 30 MINUTES (would have left at this point, if I could have gotten the money back from Groupon)..they finally came out to let me know it was my turn. I went in and was asked what I would like. I wanted a design (nail art) on my ring fingers. I was told that she didn't have time to do this. That she was really sorry and wish she did but there just wasn't time. Then..while doing my nails..she stopped several times to help the owner move things around to set up for this other lady getting her nails done and to try to get the music working. During all of this and if they didn't start me 30 MINUTES LATE she would have had time to do my nail art. I have never been told that there was not time to do nail art. This was suppose to be a relaxing time for me due to a very stressful few months but instead it turned into a super stressful event. Another thing that I thought was SUPER RUDE...is that while getting my nails done a phone call came in. The one doing my nails asked the owner if she wanted her to get it (only two ladies work there), the owner said no. And then went on a rant about how if someone needs something they can leave a message and she will call them back. That she doesn't have time to do everything. And while that might not be good customer service...she said she didn't care. While my gel nails have lasted the two weeks they should, the service there was the worst that I have ever had. I would rather go somewhere where I can't understand a word they are saying then to somewhere they are that rude. P.S. The photos are here are nothing what it looks like when you get there. read more

It's been just over two weeks since I've gotten my no chip manicure by Stephanie...my nails still look as good as they did on day one. No chipping, no peeling, and no breaking of nails. This is the best no chip manicure I've ever had ..Stephanie is the BEST!! read more

this place might be ok, but being associated with Reveal Skin Care is a big mistake - don't go there !
