I highly recommend Mountain Valley Plumbing & Heating! I had a furnace installed six years ago by a…read moredifferent company, Steele Bros Heating, Inc. located in Denver. My furnace is a high-efficiency condensing furnace, yet they never installed the condensate drain line-- a huge mistake -- it's not only dangerous, but totally embarrassing to overlook such an important part of the installation! I had Mountain Valley Plumbing & Heating come out for a furnace tune up, and their technician, Scott realized the issue. The motor in my furnace was underwater due to the lack of the drain and my furnace wouldn't turn on. I called Steele Bros Heating to fix the problem, and they placed the blame on me, saying I should have had the furnace inspected and that because I didn't have them out once a year for maintenance, they would also void my warranty. I immediately called the City of Boulder inspectors to figure out what to do. They were appalled that a HVAC company wouldn't take responsibility for such a gross error and said it was definitely a civil case. In the meantime, Mountain Valley Plumbing & Heating offered to come out and do the labor to install the condensate drain and fix the motor free of charge! Vice President, JD stated he felt that was the right thing to do and wanted to help out. Scott came back out, installed the drain line and fixed the motor. I will always work with Mt Valley moving forward!

New owners winterize the cabin and the following spring - We have a busted pipe and we were informed that our toilet, which was less a year old also cracked. Toilets are winterized with antifreeze - thus this should never happen. Long story short, the toilet was not busted at all. It was perfectly fine. The busted pipe was due to poor winterization - the line was not completely blown out. Not to mention the plumber left one of our door unlocked when they came to do the work prior to our arrival. Owner is a crooked business man. Not reliable or honest.

Responses by email and text are quick and they answer the phone or call back promptly. Highly recommend for plumbing and water heater service! I started off having them do some plumbing work for me to correct issues identified during a water meter replacement. They did a great job so I quoted for some more work - a leaky toilet valve, replacing the main water shutoff gate valve that leaks by, and a spigot that cannot decide whether it leaks or no. They sent thorough quotes that gave me all the necessary information to gather comps (none of which were comparable in price or thoroughness). I decided to move forward with the water heater and leaky toilet valve (when it rains it pours; AC went out at the same time I needed this job) and Tim showed up right at 9. He was polite and respectful and got right to work. He brought the new water heater in on a dolly, appropriately strapped and used a part of the cardboard box to protect the unit from the ratchet strap. When he had to run out for a part, he let me know and went to get it. The water heater install and toilet valve replacement took around 3 hours. I did a goof and moved cash to the wrong bank account and didn't have my checking account funded on the day of service. I called and talked to Audrey while Tim was still on site and she said it was totally fine to write a check that would be ready to cash on Friday (it's a Wednesday currently). Customer service is top notch and a great example of why to keep using independently owned businesses when private equity and corporate options seem like an easier option. One consideration is that of the 4-5 times Front Range Water Heater employees have been at my house, none have covered their shoes. For service professionals entering a home in all weather conditions and going back and forth to the nasty crawl space, that's a level of respect to the homeowner that I hope for every time and rarely encounter these days. So I'm not docking them for it but I do hope they consider the practice.

Speedy and quick. Even took the time to show me what to check for and look into prior to scheduling…read moreanother service if needed.

He was knowledgeable, funny, a great guy and didn't try to upsell a thing. He replaced my water heater at a great price. While he was here my sewer was backing up when he tried to drain the water heater. He asked that we get it cleared before he finished the job. We called Homeservice plumbers and they came out, said there was a block and they would have to tear up the basement and the starting price was almost 7k. More if they found other problems and they repeatedly tried to use, used car sales tactics and scare tactics to get me to replace Joe as my plumber and destroy the basement to clear a "block". Joe recommended Colorado Sewer Service and they came out and cleared the "block" in 10 minutes for 1/50th of what they were going to charge to tear up the basement and install a new unnecessary pipe just to begin with, which I am sure they would have tried to turn into a 20k plus job. Joe did a fast and excellent job and is just a good human being. I cannot say enough good things about this man and his business. Without a doubt I will use him for every job I need in the future. You are the best Joe, thank you again for all you did and for being Honest!
