I got a quote from Bednarik for $1575 to have a bunch of sprinkler heads updated and adjusted and a new zone installed for my raised garden bed. The new zone was just going to be "stubbed" in and connected as the actual drip line would be installed the next year. After the job was finished by the technician he left. When we ran the new heads there was significant overthrow and overlap and the heads were tilted all different directions. The heads did not have dirt packed around them to secure them. Excess dirt was left in pile onsite for me to clean up. Just a poor job. This season, when I went to run the new zone that the technician installed, it does not work. I used my multimeter to trouble shoot, and I have voltage at the controller but none at the solenoid. I jumpered across to the solenoid and it will work. The technician must have cut the line and never operated the valve from the controller to verify operation. So now, I have to re-do that also. If you call Bednarik, they want to charge me $140 to fix what they failed to do and I already paid them for it. They want to send the same technician out that did a poor job in the first place. I called the office to complain and the lady said that they would have the office manager call me back. I have not had another call. I would love to talk to Nate about this. This is really poor service. No call backs and not standing behind their work!! I paid good money for this. Not again! read more

Very dissapointing... Let me start by saying, yes, I did request a late season schedule, but as a small business one would think they would want to get as much business AND positive "word of mouth as possible. Appaerently not given that they TWICE invoked the "well you didn't meet our deadline" clause. So i called them on a tuesday morning, got a message that said press 1 to talk to someone. I pressed one... Went to a second voicemail saying how important I was and leave your information and we will call you back. A few minutes later, I recieved a text saying: "Hello, this is Bednarik Irrigation. Thank you for reaching out. We would be happy to schedule a blowout service for you. Price is based on the amount of zones in your system. 1-4 zones -- $99 5-8 zones -- $109 9-12 zones --$129 We are a bit booked out but our schedule should still have availability for November 1st. If you would like to schedule just send over your name, email, home address, and the number of zones in your system. We look forward to hearing from you!" On Tuesday Tuesday at 10:35PM "I have 8. When can we schedule?" Please bear in minid, I work from 1230 to 10 P.M. Their reply: "Hello! This is Bednarik Irrigation. Sorry we missed your call. We are currently closed but would love to call you back when we open. How can we help?" Two days later, after NOT BHEARING FROM THEM I replied"2:09PM "Can you please schedule me," Their reply: "Hello! This is Bednarik Irrigation. Sorry we missed your call. Can I call you back as soon as I wrap up the call I'm on? How can we help?" My reply: "Please confirm, per previous text that I am scheduled for November 1 I just left a second voice mail as well." Their reply: "Hello, Thank you for reaching out. We do apologize as we have booked out for the remainder of our season. However if you would like to check back tomorrow, we are looking into opening more scheduling time for November 4th. We apologize for the inconvenience but hope to hear from you!" Me: "Please schedule ma as soon as you can." Them: "Okay, We are currently booked out but just reach out tomorrow and we will check availability for November 4th." Me: "Please schedule me for the 4th today. It seems onerously unnecessary for me, the customer to reach out to you tomorrow. Just schedule me for the 4th. You already told via text that you had me scheduled for the first." Them: "Apologies, our schedule has filled since we last spoke. Our season concludes November 2nd at the time being, but we are looking into extending that another week depending on the weather. We are unable to book any appointments for after that date until upper managements decides whether or not we will be able to safely perform Blow-outs during that time. Kindly, The Bednarik Irrigation Team" Me: "You already told me, via this text exchange, that you could do mine on the first, and I agreed. We are not starting off on a good business relationship. And I would hate, as a highly rated Google Local Guide to have to give your organization a deserved *at least at this point* bad review. Please talk with management and get me on the schedule to meet the date you promised me earlier in this text exchange" Them: "Hi there, Unfortunately, you didn't respond to that message until 10:35pm, which is after business hours. We understand you would like to get on the schedule, but that appointment has been filled. We'd recommend reaching out to us tomorrow afternoon to inquire about the week of November 4th-9th, but our schedule is fully booked at this point in time. Our appointments are scheduled as a first come - first served basis, so there is nothing we can do at this time unless there are cancellations or our season is extended another week. The first freeze is expected to be next Tuesday, so we still have not decided whether or not it will be safe to perform Blow-out appointments after November 2nd. Kindly, The Bednarik Irrigation Team" So yeah, because I work and can't reply on THEIR schedule, they declined to meet their own offer and then blamed me for it. I DO NOT reccomend and will not be able speak positively of them in my community. read more

I'll start by saying everyone I've talked with at Bednard sprinklers has been very nice. The reason for the two stars is their expensive and it takes forever to get an appointment. I called for an appointment to replace two sprinkler heads and add a drip for a garden. I had to schedule an assessment which took a month, then it's taken two weeks for them to respond with an estimate.I asked them to go ahead and do the work when they were here but they could not without an estimate first. I was told it's no more than two hours of work and received a quote two weeks later for $800. If I wanna schedule this work, I'll have to wait at least another month. That's ridiculous, I'm better off just doing it myself... read more

They have gone. Corporate. They used to show up, start work and bill for their time and parts. Now they show up for $125 and then bill for doing anything. $250 bucks for a 30 minutes repair? No thanks. And if you want anything bigger then a 5 minutes repair they need $125 to show up, and then another $125 to show up again and do something at a ridiculous price. read more

Bednarik was able to complete the task, and were responsive when contacted. However, before the worker left the site, we asked why our system was dripping now. We were informed by the worker that this was normal and it should diminish over the next week. It's two weeks later and it's still dripping. We called them and were met with "he doesn't remember it dripping so you should call a plumber." It's funny because he LITERALLY TOLD US that day it was normal to drip and now he doesn't recall it. Shady. If you want loyalty -- maybe trust your customers more? Probably not too big of an issue just to send him down to AT LEAST look at it. #Wasitworthit? read more

With sub-freezing temperatures quickly approaching, I called to make an appointment to have my sprinkler system winterized, and they were able to do it the next day. Another company I had patronized in the past was unable to respond that quickly. The technician arrived as promised and had the job done in no time. I scheduled on line at the last minute before the weather was making a severe drop to get my sprinklers flushed out. I was responded to promptly and the appointment was set up. The technician arrived a few minutes early, gave me the approximate time to expect completion and completed within that time frame. Excellent service and communication as well as a job well done. We could not be more pleased about the wonderful job Nate and crew did installing our sprinkler system!!!! We had an old system replaced and expanded at a mountain location which was not without a few challenges. I have used Bednarik Sprinklers for numerous years with great results. I have always had a positive experience... until my last service call. Unfortunately, my last experience with a technician proved to challenge my perception of the company and I was contemplating using a different company in the future. Frustrated, I called the company and spoke with Kelsey to explain my concerns that I had experienced. She was very receptive to my concerns about the level of service that I perceived to be true. She was calm, respectful and professional throughout our conversation and we worked on a solution that met both our needs. I do believe there can and will always be problems that come up in any service oriented business, it is important to me that company's address this and strive for improvement. Bednarik did just that.
