Easton came out to assess the old HVAC system in my 2004 home and gave me an honest quote for the system I wanted. He also made helpful recommendations, and we decided on an 18 SEER American Standard unit and furnace, along with a separate bedroom control panel so we can manage the heating and air independently. About a week later, the team began the installation. It took two days, and Easton was there on the first day to explain the plan. The three-person crew removed the old equipment, installed the new system, and kept me updated along the way. They were respectful, did an excellent job cleaning up, and made the whole process easy. Before they left, the installer showed me how to use the panel and app and helped set up my preferences. A few days later, Easton stopped by to review the work, check that everything was running well, and answer any questions. Leah at the office was also friendly, professional, and quick to help when I came in to pay my deposit and final balance. She answered my questions promptly, registered my warranty, and is submitting the Duke Energy rebate paperwork for me. This is actually my second time using David Taylor. For a $125.00 service call, I was told the fan was going out and the cost of a new one was $750.00. The technician told my brother the AC unit was old and tired. I knew the unit would need to be replaced at some point. The old unit a 2.5 ton gas pack had been installed October 10, 1997. Almost 30 yrs old, nope they don't make them like that anymore! The knocking had stopped, it was still working and cooling. I knew too that was just a matter of time before it just stopped completely. Not wanting to put a $750 fan in a unit that old, I started looking at places with at least a 4.5 to a 5.0 rating. I am a die hard review reader and review writer, and I check ratings on both Yelp and Google(some times there is a BIG difference between those two places). I got estimates from 3 different places. The crawl space under my house is very low, and both technicians from the other two places could not get under the house, one wasn't too concerned with really checking, and was only going to replace what he could see from the outside looking in(gave me a quote on 6/24/26 for 30 days). The other technician from one of the three places, told me that once they got the old unit removed they would be able to see better, and based on what needed to be done there would be an up charge added to the estimate they had quoted to me(gave me a five day quote, 6/23/26 to 6/29/26). On June 25 Easton Brannan came out to give me an estimate. Easton Brannan was able to get under there and see what was what and give me an estimate. Easton is very nice and friendly, he told me what he saw and explained what needed to be replaced, I told him I was afraid of "critters", he assured me that once finished everything would be sealed up nice and neat,"so no critters could get in, under or around anything"!! Thank you Easton! Installation day was on July 10, 2026 at 9:30 am, the fellas were running a little behind schedule , but when they arrived they introduced them selves as Johnny and Chris, and about how bad traffic was in Easley. They are two friendly, respectful and nice men. They answered any questions that I had, and explained things they were doing. They went to work, took the old unit out, broke and took up the concrete slab that it was sitting on, took out the old return flexible duct line, and replaced the entire return flexible duct line with a new one. Johnny told me the old one had a hole in it, and a lot of the air was going under my house, as well as the heat in the winter. Johnny came in and installed the new thermostat and explained how to use it, turned the gas back on, came in to check that the unit was working correctly for both the air and heat, he did ask me if I wanted the old thermostat(I said no),and left me the batteries to the old one and the instructions for the new one. When they got it installed, Chris did the flashing and Johnny did yard clean up. They finished around 3:00 pm. Nice job Johnny and Chris, thank y'all for being so nice, sealing EVERYTHING UP (so no critters can get in) and installing my new 2.5 ton American Standard system.

Sometimes a new generation takes over a company . . . and runs it into the ground…read more Current operators are clearly willing to cut corners when they think no one is looking. ** TL/DR pinched drain lines, leaking exhaust lines, furnaces drowning in condensation, filter ports blocked by gas supply line, missing covers hanging open, sucking in crawlspace air, hanging, exposed electrical wires . . . belligerent management (Rob Fritz) ** We purchased a home in December 2025. Included in the sale were two brand new Trane furnaces with a 10-year parts warranty and one-year labor warranty from the installer, Lovingood Heating Co. They were paid $11,500 for the work. The furnaces were installed in November 2025. Unfortunately, the day we move in ran the furnaces for a few hours, we ran into problems. After a few days we discovered that BOTH new furnaces accumulate large amounts of condensation after a week or two. This is not about frozen condensation at the end of the exhaust lines in very cold weather. It's about condensation backing up around the inducer motors. The units can be made operational again by crawling under the house, removing the covers from the units, and draining off about a cup or more of water from around the inducer housing. Not something that should happen under normal operating conditions. And certainly not something that I should have to do ever week or two in the winter. Having to continually drain the inducer housing is not the only problem. There are plenty of other signs that the installation was performed by someone who was either cutting corners or inexperienced. Apparently the installers didn't bring enough materials with them (like flexible hose and joint sealant), and so instead of doing things right they just . . . did things. They *bent* the iron gas supply line to make it reach one of the units. Works great - if you don't mind permanently blocking the port where the air filter belongs. There is literally no way to insert or remove an air filter the way this thing is rigged. On that same unit the drip line was too short as installed (again because the installers apparently didn't bring enough drain hose with them), so the drip line was pinched, causing condensate to back up and the units to lock up. On December 16 Lovingood sent out a tech out to extend the drip line, so now it isn't pinched. But the underlying problem--excessive condensation buildup---was not addressed. Since the before the new year I have been trying to get them to come out to correct the install or at least explain to me why it's not their problem. When I finally got Rob Fritz on the phone yesterday, he said he was "just hired to install the furnaces, not to fix anything." That's fine, I'm not the one that hired him in the first place--I certainly would not have--but I did inherit his sloppy work -- and his bad attitude. If you're going to hire Lovingood to install a furnace for you, you'd better buy a couple of space heaters for when their junk breaks down and they can't (or won't) fix it.
