I had a great experience with David Taylor Heating & Air from start to finish, and I highly…read morerecommend them. Easton came out to assess the old HVAC system in my 2004 home and gave me an honest quote for the system I wanted. He also made helpful recommendations, and we decided on an 18 SEER American Standard unit and furnace, along with a separate bedroom control panel so we can manage the heating and air independently. About a week later, the team began the installation. It took two days, and Easton was there on the first day to explain the plan. The three-person crew removed the old equipment, installed the new system, and kept me updated along the way. They were respectful, did an excellent job cleaning up, and made the whole process easy. Before they left, the installer showed me how to use the panel and app and helped set up my preferences. A few days later, Easton stopped by to review the work, check that everything was running well, and answer any questions. Leah at the office was also friendly, professional, and quick to help when I came in to pay my deposit and final balance. She answered my questions promptly, registered my warranty, and is submitting the Duke Energy rebate paperwork for me. This is actually my second time using David Taylor. A little over a year ago, they replaced the furnace at my previous home, and I had a great experience then too. That's why I chose them again for this larger project. They're good people who do quality work, and I'd hire them again for any HVAC needs.

I waited as long as I could before turning my AC on this year. I turned it on June 12, later that…read moreday it started making a knocking sound. For a $125.00 service call, I was told the fan was going out and the cost of a new one was $750.00. The technician told my brother the AC unit was old and tired. I knew the unit would need to be replaced at some point. The old unit a 2.5 ton gas pack had been installed October 10, 1997. Almost 30 yrs old, nope they don't make them like that anymore! The knocking had stopped, it was still working and cooling. I knew too that was just a matter of time before it just stopped completely. Not wanting to put a $750 fan in a unit that old, I started looking at places with at least a 4.5 to a 5.0 rating. I am a die hard review reader and review writer, and I check ratings on both Yelp and Google(some times there is a BIG difference between those two places). I got estimates from 3 different places. The crawl space under my house is very low, and both technicians from the other two places could not get under the house, one wasn't too concerned with really checking, and was only going to replace what he could see from the outside looking in(gave me a quote on 6/24/26 for 30 days). The other technician from one of the three places, told me that once they got the old unit removed they would be able to see better, and based on what needed to be done there would be an up charge added to the estimate they had quoted to me(gave me a five day quote, 6/23/26 to 6/29/26). On June 25 Easton Brannan came out to give me an estimate. Easton Brannan was able to get under there and see what was what and give me an estimate. Easton is very nice and friendly, he told me what he saw and explained what needed to be replaced, I told him I was afraid of "critters", he assured me that once finished everything would be sealed up nice and neat,"so no critters could get in, under or around anything"!! Thank you Easton! Installation day was on July 10, 2026 at 9:30 am, the fellas were running a little behind schedule , but when they arrived they introduced them selves as Johnny and Chris, and about how bad traffic was in Easley. They are two friendly, respectful and nice men. They answered any questions that I had, and explained things they were doing. They went to work, took the old unit out, broke and took up the concrete slab that it was sitting on, took out the old return flexible duct line, and replaced the entire return flexible duct line with a new one. Johnny told me the old one had a hole in it, and a lot of the air was going under my house, as well as the heat in the winter. Johnny came in and installed the new thermostat and explained how to use it, turned the gas back on, came in to check that the unit was working correctly for both the air and heat, he did ask me if I wanted the old thermostat(I said no),and left me the batteries to the old one and the instructions for the new one. When they got it installed, Chris did the flashing and Johnny did yard clean up. They finished around 3:00 pm. Nice job Johnny and Chris, thank y'all for being so nice, sealing EVERYTHING UP (so no critters can get in) and installing my new 2.5 ton American Standard system.

Andrew and his team have serviced our wood burning stove since 2016. He is always honest about services needed and his prices can't be beat. This year he saved my house from burning down when I called him out to take a look when the damper was sticking. He discovered some damage that could have been deadly for us, saying we were extremely lucky that a fire hadn't started over the winter when I was using the stove daily. He worked with us to replace it and redo all of the surround. He went above and beyond to help us try to get the damage covered by insurance, writing two appeals letters. Ultimately, the claim was denied, but I greatly appreciate all that A Touch of Fire Gas Logs & Fireplace services did to help us.

It has…read morebeen over two years since we first advised Andy that our logs were not working properly after he installed them on 12/16/23. Countless phone calls and text messages. We even sent a video showing our logs woild not stay lit more than 30 seconds. The last time someone from Touch of Fire came to inspect the logs was the week of 1/5/26. Jeremy confirmed the burner was not working correctly and needed to be replaced. Per usual, we had to call them for an update. On 1/12/26 Tamara said they would file a warranty claim. After 2 years of the logs not coming on properly? We were told warranty claims take 4-6 weeks. Yet another 4-6 weeks we were going to have to wait. After pleading with them to expedite the repairs, Tamara told us on the phone that she was making the executive decision to order a new burner instead of waiting 4-6 weeks on a warranty claim. That didn't happen. We were told that the burner would be in "next Tuesday on the truck". Last time we heard from anyone about the burner was a text from Tamara on 1/19 saying "Need to ask a question about the burner you have." Not a word since that date.Keep in mind this "ghosting" was happening just ice storm and heavy snow that came back to back. It would have been very helpful for us to have working gas logs as there were record breaking cold temperatures during this time. Ironically, Andy sent a TEXT, not a phone call, this morning! Only after seeing a review my husband left yesterday about this HORRIBLE experience. It finally took us realizing they ARE NOT going to do what they have been saying for over 2 years they would do. Then Andy wants to make excuses in his text this morning. Factory closing due to weather. For 2 years? Andy: "We never ignore customers." For 2 years? "Did our best to provide updates." We called/text them 29 times without anyone answering any of our calls and texts. Andy brought up "safety is extremely important to them." Safety isn't the reason for the delay. He also said "we remain willing to complete the repair as soon as the manufacturer parts are available." As stated, we have attempted to reach them countless times with no response. We have lost all trust in their company. We tried to be more than patient and understanding while making countless attempts for a response. The issues were never resolved. Now we are done. We will find someone else to repair what they would not. It should not have been this way. A little bit of professionalism and communication can go a long way. We don't want anyone else to experience this type of poor customer service.
