After 9 days at the destination terminal, my item finally arrived. For every bit of horror in dealing with the terminal that I wrote about, the actual delivers did a great job listening to what I was advising them (it's a long reverse but the best way for a 24'+ truck to approach), and leaving the package where I needed . There was a punch through on top of the package, but a quick inspection revealed no damage. Utimately I would have given the delivery a 4.5 star only because had I not been watching the driver would have accidentally hit the brick wall with the package while lowering the ramp. The absolutely unacceptable behavior of the terminal and failure to even call to schedule the delivery (I had to call them again after several days after it was unloaded) should remain a business that is better to avoid. Given Estes response that they are overwhelmed, my recommendation is to not accept contracts for which they are not capable of honoring within the given timeframes until they can hire more people, establish faster processes for processing paperwork (once the truck is there, and you confirm that the item is deliverable get deliveries or pickups scheduled immediately even if you know the delivery date is going to have to be several days away), and finally get employees customer service training!!! Customers are NOT there to piss anyone off, so try to work with them instead of against them. read more

I had a very expensive fireplace / stove delivered which they wanted to deliver it over thanksgiving holiday in which we were out of town... well by the time it was delivered afterwards it came battered and beat up. All the packaging was torn and ripped apart. This was VERY heavy and it was only one young kid who was delivering it and had a cheap $5 dolly to get it up to our property which my wife and I had to help get it up. I told them over the phone to bring the necessary men and equipment to deliver it which they did not. I have several pictures of the damaged and scratched fireplace which was very expensive. Very unprofessional. No one can locate my shipping for a return of a unit and there has been zero communication. I called in a bunch of times and emailed and started a claim and there has been absolutely no communication or update as to how they are handling the situation. I had a $2600 riding lawn mower delivered and it was fine. Driver and shipping dispatcher was friendly. The driver called when he was on his way, which was nice. I'd give 5 stars but they seem disorganized. They ask that you be home to sign for it and give you a 4 hour block of time for an ETA. The day it was expected was a no call-no show. I called them and got their yes man, who was friendly, but just yes and agreed with me to death, then told me it wasn't going to happen today and why and apologized. I got another 4 hour block of time the next day but it was a no show. (I was glad I was off that week). I got a call when they were 2 hours late giving me a time for the following morning saying there was a mix-up. It was on time the following day. The mower is here and undamaged, so I'm happy. UNBELIEVABLE! I've ordered lots of gardening products from HomeDepot in the past and have never had to be home for them to deliver it. A day or two after I ordered some stone online, I received an email from Estes Express. I get lots of junk mail, so I really wasn't going to read it. It said that I needed to confirm my order/delivery or would incur extra charges for storing the rock while they waited. The email said to click on a link to confirm the delivery date. I did, and it asked me for my order. Well, I'm on a tractor in Swainsboro Georgia and didn't have the order number so I called personally. Latoya answered the phone, and asked for my order number. I gave her my name instead because I didn't have the order #. I said, "Well, don't you have it?" and her answer was "This is a paperless office and we don't have it just lying around". So, I said "Well, can you find it?" She put me on hold for a very long time. I think she took a smoke break or something. So, she came back with the # and with attitude. She asked me if I didn't get the order number with her email and I said I may have but if she had the #, I wouldn't have to sift through my emails to find it. Then I asked "Can I just confirm it now in person?" and that's when she wanted to put me on hold again. She either hung up on me/ or put me on hold. To be fair, I didn't wait around long enough to find out. So here's the fun part. I get a tracking order and in the early AM the next day. It said that it would arrive between 9AM and 5PM. They arrived at 4:40PM and I wasn't there to sign off so they didn't deliver it. They just drove away and probably charged me an extra storage fee for keeping it overnight. So I called HomeDepot to see if I could get it another way, and they just referred me back to Latoya. I didn't recognize her voice when I called to reschedule and king of uttered, "Thank God I don't have to deal with Latoya". UH oh.... It was Latoya and she was angry. So we had a few harsh words. The countertops showed up 21 days after the order with only ONE countertop. The guy delivering spoke ZERO English so he was useless and I had no one to ask where the other was. They sent a survey which I blasted them badly and they called ASAP and said they would look for it but had no idea where it was. Last week they called and said they found it and it would be delivered today. Well NO DELIVERY! And to back track I went and ordered ANOTHER countertop on Oct 31st which was scheduled for delivery on Friday the 8th. Well, it is now Nov 13th and no one knows where that one is. Where to start, just about everything that could go wrong went wrong. I called an arranged an appointment for a Tuesday. I got a call from the driver on Monday informing me he was 30 minutes away to which I responded with confusion and explained again that no one would be available until Tuesday. I got a call on Tuesday telling me he was pulling down the block. Turns out he was on the wrong block. To be fair there are two streets with the same name in our town. However, my street number is unique to my block so he must not have entered a street number or entered it wrong. He delivered the items inside my garage has I asked. Then he called back later to explain he delivered the wrong order. I'm not sure how this happens. He came back and picked up the wrong order and gave us our order. One of the crates was severely damaged and the contents were piled on top of the crate. There were a lot of missing pieces that I had to inventory and contact the seller for replacements. Heck I still found a piece this morning on the street where it was dropped. I'm at a loss as to why they would even try to deliver something in this condition rather than explain the situation with the seller and ask for a replacement. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN! I received a notice that my brand new 103lb toilet was being delivered today so I took the day off from work to be here because they were adamant about having someone here to sign for it. Made sense to me. When I called to confirm the delivery yesterday all of a sudden this day wasn't available. After some discussion the day was magically available again. I was in my house waiting to hear a doorbell or knock when I received a text that the delivery had been made. What??! They left a pallet with a 103ib toilet in my driveway! I don't know many people who could easily move that into the garage on their own...especially a senior citizen like myself. This driver lost a generous tip. Was told about some 48 hour period that is allowable however it makes no sense. 4 days and counting with no contact from Estes to provide useful information or delivery date. Let me just say I still absolutely Love Home Depot. Unfortunately ESTES LEVEL2 LOGISTICS is a -12. They delivered my item and my son was home. They didn't knock to let anyone know they had the delivery. So they left the delivery in front of the garage which is fine, but they left a broken old pallet with nails sticking out and when I called ESTES they said I had to dispose the pallet. I live in a house not a building and I have no way of disposing such a dangerous item. They said they will not come back to get the pallet and it was my problem not theirs. Estes gets a zero. I'm not sure why Home Depot contracts with them, every delivery has been a nightmare. They are a complete joke. I had an appointment yesterday for 4pm-6pm. No one arrived. I called dispatch who said I can see the truck and the driver just left Petaluma, so I waited until 9pm. No one arrived. I called again this morning. My calls all self-disconnected. Another negative experience from another Home depot order. This one was to deliver posts for a fence, along with the accessory caps that go on top of the posts. When the posts (heavy portion of the freight) was delivered, the caps were not. They call this a short delivery. I've called many times and i keep hearing they found the caps, that they will deliver it soon, but they can't say when they can deliver it. A few times, they told me it was loaded and would be delivered that day, which i confirmed in the system, but was not true. Again, miscommunication between the system, dispatchers, and loaders (see my review below for similar issues on the delivery of the panels). It has been weeks and I still dont have the caps. I talk with the corporate office, the Baltimore station, and no one has been able to close this issue and send me the caps. I had to proceed and install my fence without knowing how deep the caps go on the fence posts, and hence guess how long I should cut the posts to size. I suggest management seriously looks into communication issues with the loaders and whats is in fact loaded. And also when errors do occur to prioritize correcting short deliveries, and get the complete load delivered asap. For reference, the initial PRO number is 2251238610. I ordered a package that was contracted to Estes for delivery. Without any notice, they dropped a package weight about 1000 lbs in my driveway behind my car. I can get no one from the company to acknowledge they need to assist with this issue. They continuously tell me I need to contact another office that either doesn't answer, or sends me back to the local office, who also refuses to assist in getting this package moved. I have no means to move this package on my own. The driver never came into contact with me to get any sort of signature to prove that I accepted the delivery or acknowledge that I was at home. Residential Service Tracking number said estimated delivery Nov 5th - I called them to see how that was going, and they told me that they had the box, but someone needed to call me to confirm that I'd be home to accept the delivery. And that they didn't do same day delivery, so I should get my package on Nov 6th. Nov 6th - noon, I call them... Sorry, you're still going to have to get a call from us for delivery confirmation, but we don't delivery same day, so the next business day is Nov 9th. Horrible! My Greenhouse left Canada on November 16th for Minnesota. It is now 4 weeks later and I only received 2 of the three crates. One is lost. I also paid for Home Delivery extra services. They could not make the delivery and said I could come pick it up. Reluctantly, I did. One of the crates weighs close to 800# so you can see why I paid the extra fee. They not only could not deliver them, when I got to the warehouse, there was only one. I helped find one more and it was loaded onto my trailer. One of the two wooden crates I picked up was punctured and I won't know if the damage is serious until I get the third one to assemble the $27,000 greenhouse. It's now almost a month since it was shipped, I have called, emailed....they say they are looking into it. The third crate is still MIA! Totally unacceptable.
