Morro Bay

Location, location, location !!! This inn was close to everything on the water in Morro Bay. It is a very small property and you check in across the street. The staff was helpful and gave information about the hotel. This place is walkable to restaurants and alot of the Moro Bay businesses. The only reason I gave this Inn 4 stars is that my room was next to the elevator. I had the Bayside room and would pick a different room on the 2nd floor.

Estero Inn - Morro Bay...10/10! This was our second stay at the Estero Inn, and it truly exceeded our expectations once again. We had the pleasure of experiencing two different rooms during our visit, and both were absolutely perfect! Kelp Forest Suite (First Floor): This room was an absolute gem! The bay views from the large windows were breathtaking, and the sitting area right in front of them was the perfect spot to unwind. The space felt incredibly spacious and homey, with a cozy fireplace that added to the ambiance. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Morro Bay. Bay View (Second Floor): The view from this room was equally stunning, overlooking the bay. The room was beautifully designed and the private patio was ideal for enjoying morning coffee while watching the town wake up. It was the perfect way to start the day! The attention to detail in the design and accommodations is truly impressive. Both rooms were beautifully furnished, decorated to perfection, and spotless. We also loved the thoughtful touch of having quality coffee and tea provided in the room--it gave us the perfect excuse to explore different seating areas around the property, each one more peaceful and picturesque than the last The quaint size of the property makes for a more personalized experience, and the owners and staff really make you feel like family. Special shout-out to Connor at the Estero Adventure Shop--he was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us fantastic recommendations when we took one of Estero's boats out to explore the area. It was so fun getting up close to playful sea otters and enjoying the gorgeous properties lining the harbor. On a separate day, we decided to go kayaking , and it was the perfect way to see the bay. Since my last stay, they've created a stunning new wine bar on the property, and it is absolutely gorgeous--definitely worth checking out! The location is perfect for taking midday walks or enjoying morning bike rides around the bay. Every time I visit, I love discovering new local coffee, matcha, and food spots. There's never a shortage of great food and drinks nearby! Overall, exceptional doesn't even begin to cover it. I've also stayed at their sister property, the Anderson Inn, and these are the only two places I will continue to stay every time I visit Morro Bay. The attention to detail, hospitality, cleanliness, and overall care that goes into both properties is unmatched. The owners have clearly put so much thought and intention into creating the perfect stay for their guests. It really shows, and I couldn't recommend them more!

Estero Inn was an amazingly beautiful experience. So thankful that are hidden gems like this in California that still exist. We were Very thankful to have made memories with such an accommodating stay. The rooms are walking distance to everything, you are staying right on the water, and there are great amenities for adventures; whether it be boating or golf carts to great hiking trails.

Estero is absolutely fabulous in every way, the staff, the rooms, the view. We had a wonderful experience there the two days we spent with them, but what put them over the top was when I realized I left my robe on the back of the bathroom door, the robe I used to get ready for my wedding day they were amazing and worked with me to get it mailed back. I can't wait to visit them again in the future! Frankie and Phoebe in particular were awesome!

Seriously a great stay ! You are right on the Embarcadero.. walking distance to just about anything in Morro Bay. The room was clean and had a great view . The staff was very accommodating.. thank you John ! The only draw back, the back of the air conditioner in the next room is on your balcony. We like to hear the white noise of seagulls and harbor , and all we could hear one night is the humm of the air conditioner in the next room. Don't let that remark sway you from staying here ... it's hardly ever warm enough here to warrant running the air conditioner.

Absolutely exceptional, I stayed here for NYE with my partner and let me just say that from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, everything was easy. Moyra greeted us upon our arrival, super sweet and welcoming. The hotel was very nicely decorated and up-to date, something we totally appreciated. Clean, the sheets, bathroom ect. I can't stress enough how much we loved the complimentary tea and coffee, you guys had Peet's coffee k cups! (Our favorite coffee btw) so that just allowed me to add the fifth star. The view was also lovely, check out was at 11 am so we were able to enjoy the balcony as the weather was absolutely beautiful. Safe to say we will continue to stay here every-time we visit. Thank you so much!

Location, location, location! Ocean View room was like a picture post card. Stayed three nights. Very clean, quiet, comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful. Well maintained property. Fabulous views. Spent many hours on the deck watching the activities and wildlife on the bay. Lower deck with Adirondack chairs semi-private with 180 degree bay views. Tidelands park close by for an early morning walk or run. Many restaurants to choose from. Stopped at Bayside Restaurant in Morro Bay State Park for lunch and took an easy .7 mile walk along the Marina Peninsula Loop Trail at the South end of the parking lot. Enjoyed the Scarecrow Festival in Cambria, 20 miles North of Morro Bay, and the shops along Main Street. We would definitely stay here again.

Wow what a perfect place to stay while exploring Morro Bay! We stayed in the Kelp Forest suite and it was amazing. Spacious, clean and staff was friendly. The view from the room is so beautiful you won't want to leave! It's a small inn so you get very personalized attention (they sent champagne and chocolates to our room for our anniversary). Also, the location was very convenient to all the sights we wanted to see. We would definitely stay again!

Wow, what a great little hotel. Room was just amazing. Ocean view, fireplace, big shower, just everything was perfect. One of the best stays I've had at a hotel. Staff was so super friendly. Book room on their website directly, I found better deals vs online systems.

We were greeted by John at the front desk and his hospitality and knowledge was second to none. This is a lovely boutique hotel, impeccably clean, well appointed with a fantastic view and delicious food within walking distance. Thank you for the wonderful visit, April and I had a wonderful time and we highly recommend the Estero Inn. We'll definitely be back! Cheers!

Best place to stay in Morro Bay! We stayed here for two nights, and it was absolutely delightful. It is a great location close to everything! The property is extremely well-kept and clean. The rooms are comfortable, modern and we had a great view of the Morro Rock! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We will never stay anywhere else in Morro Bay. We also rented one of their electric boats and took it around the bay. Reasonably priced and a lot of fun.

Went here for my husbands birthday and was greeted upon entering , very friendly .was sad to find out that we weren't informed ahead of time that they weren't serving breakfast due to covid. But the room was great and a balcony view of the water was perfect. It was in a perfect location .

Beautiful little hotel in a small town. I love sleeping with the window open and hearing the seals all night. Highly recommend this place.

I called the Beach Bungalow Inn & Suites directly and spoke with the manager, Gabriell J. She was a total professional. I was stressed and upset, but her calm and helpful demeanor completely turned things around. She went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of through the hotel itself. Lesson learned: always book directly! Not only is the customer service superior, but you get a better price, too. I will absolutely book directly with them for my next trip to Morrow Bay!

We checked out this inn in person 7 weeks ago, the place we stayed last time had the most…read moreuncomfortable beds. I had read several reviews for this place saying how comfortable the beds were and how nice the rooms were. At that time the nicest woman showed us every room layout they had, even let us sit on the beds to test out the comfort level. The beds we sat on were way better than the other place. We also liked the different layouts of the rooms- the one with 2 separate bedrooms and the one with the kitchenette were our favorites- but we felt, at the time we could enjoy any of the rooms. They are also dog friendly if you aren't in the kitchenette room The reviews from before talked about a wonderful breakfast brought to your room each morning. When I mentioned it, the woman said they just discontinued that- the woman who was making the items had gone back to school in the mornings. She said they would be giving each guest a breakfast voucher for various small businesses in the area. This sounded like a great way to try out new places I asked if all the rooms had a fridge and microwave. We were assured they all did We booked thru a 3rd party for this trip. We stayed 3 nights- arriving Monday around 5 pm of Thanksgiving week There was a young man in the office when we arrived who said we were the last to check in for the evening He gave us our room keys and showed us the map on the wall to direct us to our rooms. He also told us parking is first come first served. We went to our room to store our belongings before heading out to dinner. I didn't see a microwave in my room- a must for my neck and back warmer for a recent injury. I went back to the office to request one. I was told he would look for one and get back to us. He came to our room 5 minutes later saying he couldn't find one. I explained I had been promised one by the nice lady when we came to look at the inn- he said she no longer worked there. That he had only been there a week He said he would call his manager and get back to us- but he left for the night without an update We asked him how to work the fireplace- but he didn't know We also asked to not have the maids come to the room while we were out. He said they don't come at all during your stays There is a binder in the room that tells you about the fireplace, as well as the location of some lockers to get "amenities" The locker has towels, tp, tissues.... There were also bikes and body boards available for use The rooms have been updated- but once in the room, it didn't seem to us that they were done well The bathroom floor is very slippery- we had to lay down towels for safety. The shower was not hot thru the whole stay- and water pressure is almost nonexistent There is a sign up in the bathroom about a 5 minute shower- no way you would get the conditioner out of your hair with no water pressure The fireplace wasn't working well... the tiniest of red on a log- and you can't really enjoy it from the bed. The tv is mounted above the fireplace- but it doesn't swivel- so you can't see it well from the bed The WiFi is a joke The beds were not as comfy as other guests reported- more were they as nice as the ones we had been shown a few weeks ago. We were in room 3 pacifica- they showed us rooms on the other side of the hotel The 2nd day we found a nice woman working in the office who was able to bring us a microwave. She did there were about 6 in the storage area. I asked if maybe the first guy didn't know where to look- she said that's where they always keep them. She stayed to make sure it worked when we plugged it in- the whole outlet didn't work in the front room The ironing board was broken- we were going to use it as a shelf for storage. The closest only had 1 hanger in it and 1 bathrobe. Which seemed odd there wouldn't have been 2. The coffee was in tiny refillable canisters. We brought our own coffee maker and coffee so wasn't an issue for us- but we both thought it didn't seem sanitary The fridge never did get cold enough- even though we had it on the coldest setting- so we ended up mostly using our big beach cooler In the 2nd day they cut back all the palm trees- grateful the woman who brought us the microwave warned us and we were able to move our car. We asked her if they would trim the ones right in front of our room- we had several stairs up to get in our room- and the palm fronds would smack you in the face when you tried to carry your stuff in and out. They did cut that back- very helpful But we were stuck in our room while the work was done. It was very loud There was always plenty of parking We didn't feel the beds we had were as comfortable as the ones in the other side of the inn- in room 3 the queen sized bed felt better then the king When we checked out it was another young man who also seemed new and inexperienced Hoping there is more training for the entire staff so everyone is on the same page

We got consistently good sleep here. Breakfast had decent food including kielbasa one day. Access to CA-1 is easy and it's not far to drive to shopping, Morro Rock and Morro Bay. You can tell they've put effort into keeping it fresh and comfortable. The staff? Genuinely friendly and helpful - great recommendations, warm greetings, and they actually acknowledge you as a member (which, let's be honest, doesn't always happen everywhere). Also...major bonus points for being dog-friendly. My pup was living his best life here. Now, let's talk breakfast. Or...my lack of breakfast. If you're plant-based, your options are basically: * Toast * Fruit * Plain oatmeal (if you're feeling adventurous) Meanwhile, my dog was over there enjoying what I like to call "my breakfast." Day one: cheese omelette. Day two: scrambled eggs and potatoes. Honestly, he was thrilled. I get that it's a standard hotel breakfast setup, but in 2026, throwing in one solid vegan option doesn't feel like a wild ask. Even a simple oatmeal bar or plant-based protein would go a long way. That said, everything else about the stay was great - clean, comfortable, welcoming, and easy. I'd absolutely stay here again... I'll just plan to bring my own breakfast.
