They were able to give me an appointment for 30 minutes after I called, though they weren't quite ready because the pedicurist was still eating lunch at 4 PM. I don't begrudge her for eating lunch but they could've totally told me to come later. The pedicurist was great; she didn't speak any English at all but this wasn't a barrier for me picking out my toe color (not gel). I have no complaints for my $20 pedicure that included a massage chair, foot wash, brief foot massage, and well-painted nails. It's been a month and my toes still look pristine. I would definitely come back for this. Unfortunately, my manicurist was not so great; she grabbed my hands while I was still getting my pedicure and made me stop the massage chair so she could file my nails. She asked if I wanted my nails cut or just filed, which I was surprised by because I'd imagine cutting my nails was a default. My instinct told me to say no, and I'm glad I did so because I don't know how it would've turned out. I asked for a light pink opaque nail polish - literally did not matter which one as long as it's transparent. She kept asking me to point at which one and I repeated myself several times, gesturing to all of the light pinks and saying "whichever one is opaque, not transparent" and I pulled out google translate to Spanish just to confirm. She gave me one that was beige. After a lot of frustrated back and forth on both our parts, she finally got me this one but painted my nails hurriedly to the very bottom, giving my nails a ragged look. She also left some nail polish on the sides and I had to ask her to remove it for me. She was annoyed every time I asked her to fix it and she was on her phone half the time. I don't know if their roles are set, but I would absolutely not get another manicure from this person again. My gel chipped within the first week and was pretty sad looking by the second. My gel manicures usually last me 2-3 weeks without any chipping at all.

She also rushes the process as she seems to not have a booking schedule. The nail art is not that great and all of my nails came off within a day. I've never in my life had this experience with acrylics before! Also she charged $75 and wanted a tip.

The staff is very nice and friendly; the hair stylist who curled my hair even offered me some tips on hair care while she worked on my...quite honestly, monstrous amount of hair lol Despite the daunting task, she did a great job. :)) Sorry I don't have a better pic (I'm horrible at selfies and quite self conscious)...but seriously, the curls came out quite nice. Lastly, in my opinion, the price for what I requested was pretty reasonable (I was expecting to pay almost twice the price I paid tbh). So this was definitely a plus in my book. All in all, I'm glad I stopped by for a visit. I live in the area so I've been eying Opium for awhile. Maybe I'll get that layered haircut my stylist suggested here one day, haha. :)

I needed to be camera ready for a TV pilot I was shooting, and Jasmin saved me! She did my hair and makeup and I felt (and looked) amazing! I've had my hair and makeup done by dozens of people, so I know when someone is great. And Jasmin is great. She knew exactly what colors would look best for me and did my hair to last the hour plus of filming. (It still looks great today, the morning after.) She was so sweet and fast! I felt like I was in good hands. I didn't have to worry about my looks and could focus completely on my performance (one of the most important gigs in my TV career). Thank you, Jasmin!
