We were happy with the installation on two homes in Rancho Mirage but at one property there was a mature beautiful Jacaranda tree in the middle of the turf. After a while the tree started looking sick. We had an arborist out and he said it wasn't getting enough water and the space around the tree Estate Greens left wasn't large enough and they needed to set up more water bubblers. Estate Greens DID do that. It started to improve but now 7 months later it's not well. Had arborist back again. Tree was getting too much water. We are having to have it treated with root injections and hope we don't loose it! When we sent Estate Greens the diagnosis this time they have ignored it after two attempts to contact them. Now we are paying out of pocket to save our beautiful tree because they may be good at turf but not at Tree health. The project manager, Mike Setchell came onsite, took a measurement of our lot, explained the entire process and informed us we would be eligible for a rebate from the water company. Since this was a very large project (over 5,000 sq. ft. of synthetic turf), that rebate was substantial. The other two estimates I received didn't even mention a rebate. They came out for a quote and by the next week everything was installed...the installers were very careful not to disrupt the existing drip system and added a new edging that practically disappears. I won a radio contest wherein for $5K I would receive $10K worth of work from Estate Greens. Started working with Mike who was nice, helpful and encouraged me to participate in the contest. Once it was time to get to work Mike backed out and was "very unhappy" that the owner "dumped" this job on him because he wasn't going to receive a commission on it. Started to work with owner, Paul, who very rudely pointed out that he did not like working in Sun City because of its LEC. I told him I would deal with the LEC. We spent over 50K on residential artificial grass. You can see the seams all over the yard. I asked for help two years ago when I discovered a sink hole type defect that was occurring.
