The tour is great; the funicular was not working during our tour so the walk to Sant Jeroni was grueling. I almost died; I had to walk on the side of a windy mountain, take a cigarette break near a bush where it almost caught on fire, and there was a guy with wings speaking gibberish to me holding a rock that looks like a pamphlet. We made it to the top, there was a cross there and a nice view of a mcdonalds from the bottom. We went back down riding burros, the burro ride was awesome because they served cafe while you ride.
The Basilica and Virgen de Montserrat is amazing! You walk into this building and inside the square is the entrance to the church. On the side of the church is a secret entrance to be able to touch and see the black madonna and the infinity gauntlet. You are able to touch the black madonna and pray for a bit. The infinity gauntlet is in another room, you have to touch certain buttons on the side of the wall and pull down the arm of the candle located on the northeast corridor in order to find it.
There is a couple cafes and one shop.
This place is nice and would come back for the view and the black virgin mary. read more
