I have attached photos of the…read moretime stamp of when this incident happened along with the bank charge to show solid evidence. I paid to get eye lash extensions, which went terribly. The white tape they placed under my lashes got stuck to the false lashes and was sealed with glue which was impossible to remove, unless you remove all false lashes and re-do, entirely. When the lady finished, I noticed, and immediately mentioned it to her. She said it would wash off after I showered. The man at the front desk was a witness, and noticed. After noticing, he semi smiled, laughed, and spoke to her in whatever language they speak that wasn't English. I got home, showered, and of course it did not come off. I called that very same day stating that I showered washed my face and it still did not come off. I notified the man who witnessed everything and he told me to come back the next day, so they could fix it. When I came back, the lady tried pulling the white clumps, which did not help. I requested for them to remove the lashes and issue a full refund. They refused, despite the job being done improperly, and the fix being half-done. They said that if I wanted to get them removed I would have to pay. While I understand they have a no refund policy, this was incomplete/poorly done work. They didn't even offer a credit or to redo them. I have bank statements and the date I took this photo to show I am not lying. The table you lay on had a sheet over it that was extremely dirty filled with someone's hair dander. I had to request for them to change the sheet. I should have taken that as a red flag! This place is not new. It's owned by the same people that owned Diamond Nails, because when they charged me, it showed up as their old name before they remodeled the place. They had to change their name because of the terrible reviews they had. They also wrecked my lashes. She trimmed my natural lashes. I'm not sure why, and I noticed when I had lash Bar remove them.

Wild Orchids is a Chinese nail salon, located in Westwood. This was actually my first time getting my nails done at a Chinese-owned salon, in the US. I am Chinese myself, and felt comfort hearing some Chinese tunes playing. I felt at home honestly and wondered to myself why I haven't gone this place sooner. Today, I decided to get a chrome gel manicure, no acrylic extensions. Lol, also the first time I opted for no nail extensions & did natural nails. My nail tech was Fanny, who was very kind and did a great job! My nails came out exactly how I wanted them to ;). I asked for two coats of OPI Funny Bunny, one coat OPI Bubble Bath, + chrome finish. The nail salon was super clean. The tools used are all sterilized well. I consider their prices pretty fair, compared to other nail salons I have been to in the city. I would come back again and recommend coming here if you're around in the area!

They are accommodating with appointments and the salon is always in spic and span condition. I go every month for a wax and the lady is a sweetheart, definitely puts me at ease. They are normally very meticulous but the one time that I went home with a bit of wax still attached, they were incredibly apologetic and offered me a free session. I also routinely go here for nails. I don't like gels just because of what they do to my nails, so I always go for the Performance line. These are a non-gel that acts like a gel. I remember coming here a couple of years ago but couldn't remember why I never came back as the place is clean and the staffers I encountered the first time provided good service. Well I guess I remember that the quality of work was subpar. I requested a dip French manicure and French pedicure. The pedicure was not bad and the tech asked me how thin I wanted the white part which was good but as soon as I got in the chair for my manicure, it went downhill from there. I was trying to tell him how I wanted the shape as I'm very particular about my almond shaped nails. Every time I motioned to say something about MY NAILS, he would tap my hand away and dare I say hit my hand, basically telling me to stop and just wait for him to finish. The job was sloppy and not smooth. I was not happy and of course I was way overcharged. I can pay for something if the quality matches the price but this was simply not the case so footing this bill left me sick! By day two, I couldn't believe what my nails looked like and they were already cracking. I never have this issue at my current nail salon. And such a shame because this place is closer to me, NEVER AGAIN.

I appreciate she was focused and not on the phone, I wish the person who did my pedicure would've scrubbed a bit harder, but I can request that next time. The service here has really gone downhill. They are spread too thin with these new locations…read moreopening. They were so much better when they were just one location. Pricing is so high now, and it really doesn't match the quality you get anymore. I first started going to their original location in 2020 once lockdown was lifted, and back then they did amazing pedicures, paraffin, hot stone, long massages - all part of the "regular pedi" service. Now the regular pedi doesn't include anything like that, and the price has since gone up. A few weeks ago, I had a scheduled appointment. I got a call asking to come 20 minutes later because the nail tech was running late - ok, cool no problem. I showed up later. Was brought to the pedicure chair and started soaking my feet. It ended up being 45 mins past my original appointment time before the tech started on me. I was so irritated since I was sitting in lukewarm water for 25 minutes. I wish they had just told me up front that she was 45mins behind. I brought this up to management; they apologized and gave me a 20% off coupon. I was hesitant, but went back today. I made an appointment and went in; waited almost 20 minutes for my tech to start on the pedi - no communication that she was late, just me sitting in a tub of water again. Once she started on me, I felt that she was just rushing through. The price of over $100 for a gel mani/pedi should have much better service than this. I gave them another chance, and they failed - many other places in the area I can go to that will give me much better service. Edited to add - after my 2nd visit, management contacted me again - told me they double-checked the cameras and said she wasn't rushing, offered me 15% off next time. Told me to go to their other location because they are short-staffed at this one, and argued that their prices are the lowest around. Not a fan of this customer service and attempt to get me to stay - so many other places out there better than this place.

I also was a few weeks out from surgery and had to be very careful about infection, so I deeply appreciated her extra care and that she warned me I can't do cuticle removal the way I typically would do for your safety.
