I've been dealing with excruciating lower back and hip pain for weeks-- the kind that makes every step feel like torture. Jenessa, was an absolute wizard. She listened carefully to my issues, pinpointed the exact source of the pain (which turned out to be a sneaky knot I didn't even know about), and worked her magic to release it completely. By the end of the session, I felt 100% better-- like a new person! No exaggeration, the relief was immediate and lasting. I opted for the cupping add-on, and it was such a nice touch; it really enhanced the deep tissue work without being overwhelming. Jenessa's expertise shone through every step--she's clearly very experienced and knows her stuff inside and out. And for the quality of the service, the price was an incredible value. If you're in pain or just need some serious TLC, do yourself a favor and book with Jenessa. Five stars all the way-- I'll definitely be back!

Alannah has magic hands:) I like a very deep massage, but many practitioners don't (or can't) get that deep, and I had a slight concern that, because this was a prenatal massage, it might be too light. But it totally wasn't. Alannah has a very unique ability to massage very deeply but still feel gentle, and she uses ultra soothing strokes. I love that she only offers 90-minute sessions because it really gives you time to relax. (And her rate of $125 is still much better than at the resorts where the rate can be twice as much.) Also, if you happen to be booking her for prenatal, it's good to know that she and several of her practitioners have been midwives and doulas, so she had other tidbits of good info for me. My husband also loved his deep tissue massage with Rose--it was also deep yet soothing. I wish we lived closer to her! I would come all the time.

It's all about the pressure and tempo of the strokes that make a good massage and Kahla was spot on. She does this thing where she presses on your back and chest while incorporating an arm massage all at the same time. She also does this thing with her fingertips that slowly go up the center of your back that touches all the pressure points that release a bunch of tension. One of my favorites is the way she uses her lomi lomi technique of using her forearm to provide long strokes of consistent pressure from your leg all the way to your neck! Kahla is so welcoming, makes you feel super comfortable, and her smile lights up the room. She brings this amazing energy that gets passed on to you thru her touch. I've been experiencing a loss of feeling in my foot for about eight months now, along with…read morepersistent pain between my toes for nearly the same amount of time. As someone who enjoys staying active through walking and stretching, I was filled with fear when I first began losing sensation in the heel of my foot. I wondered--Is this what life has in store for me at 50? Am I supposed to just accept the loss of feeling in my foot, with the possibility that it could eventually spread to the entire foot--or worse, other areas? Thankfully, I didn't have to accept that. Dr. Young has been adjusting both my back and foot, which consistently brought temporary relief from the painful snapping I experienced between my toes when I first started walking. However, the pain would typically return within two days. I also tried other treatments, such as athletic taping and Alpha Lipoic Acid. The supplement seemed to slow the progression--when I stopped taking it, numbness began creeping into my other foot. I also saw a pediatrist and he offered me a shot for the sensation between my toes and nothing for the numbness happening in my foot. Prior to this appointment (about two weeks ago), both doctors had collaborated on a treatment plan tailored to my symptoms--and it paid off! Last week, I came into the office in severe pain--9 out of 10 in both my foot and back. I thank the good Lord that I was already scheduled to see Dr. Young and begin Sanexas therapy with Dr. Atwell-I was ready to keep exploring and try any therapy. After Dr. Young's adjustment and my first Sanexas treatment with Dr. Atwell, I walked out of the office with my pain level reduced from a 10 to a 2! A few days later, I began to feel something unusual: cool sensations in my heel. After some research, I discovered that this sensation is actually a positive sign--an indicator that nerve healing may be underway. I continued red light therapy at home and resumed taking Alpha Lipoic Acid. Then last night--just one week after my treatment--I was shocked to discover that I had regained feeling in my foot! Even better, the painful snapping between my toes had not returned. I am beyond grateful. I highly recommend the chiropractic treatments at Kalaheo Wellness, not only for the quality of care but for the collaborative, comprehensive, and compassionate approach from both doctors. Kalae, Office Manager, and her team have also played an essential role in helping me book appointments that fit my schedule and in educating me about the innovative treatments now offered at Kalaheo Wellness. ***Honorable mention to Dr. Banks as he also has spearheaded shoe lifts and a diagnostic that allowed me to shift my balance, target habits and alleviate pain.
