I'm very disappointed with the quality of work from Essential Home Services. My uncle decided to hire help to install my mirrored closet sliding doors while I was out of town as a surprise but it's hard to not feel disappointed. The doors are crooked and do not slide smoothly. My uncle says they spent an extra half hour trying to adjust the door when he complained but they couldn't get it right. They insisted it was metal shavings in the track and that it needs to be greased. I disagree since my other six closet doors I installed last year are the same brand and slide easily. I removed the doors and very quickly realized they did not follow instructions. There is a half page insert that says to mount the lower track 5/8" inside the frame, only the top track should be flush. They mounted both tracks flush with the frame which is causing the problem. Further, they never adjusted the height on the wheels so there is an angle of space between the door and frame. I'm sure this 60 second adjustment never happened because the shipping tape hadn't even been removed from the adjustable wheels (as per the instructions). This is a very common type of door...it must be the first set of sliding closet doors they ever installed?? The protective plastic wrapping on the doors was hastily removed with residue and plastic left on the bottom (see photos) and the white plastic parts which fit into the top track were damaged during the botched install. This will take more time to fix than doing the install myself would have. I don't understand how a professional contractor would not be able to correctly install closet doors, it's a very simple job. I work as a bookkeeper and figured this out in 15 minutes...shame on you!!! Next! read more

Had Heath and Andy install a mosquito curtain on my back patio and install a new pool handrail for safety in my pool. Heath and Andy did an outstanding job installing both items and keeping me on track with my summer projects. I still have a few more projects I'll be getting with them to complete for me in the upcoming weeks. Great work and reasonable prices. read more

Big thanks to these guys ! They took care of some remodeling at my mom's house in the kitchen at a good price. Turned out beautiful !

Wow - finally found a Handy Man service that doesn't rip you off! I had two jobs that I needed done. One, was to change out the front door handle - sounds easy but with the new handle, you had to drill a hole in the door & I did NOT want to be responsible for drilling this hole in case I got it wrong or worse - I cracked the door. The other job was to affix a TP holder that needed anchors. I was given an estimate of 1-2 hours, but Armando did everything in 40 minutes! I definitely recommend this company! read more

We've used Essential Home Services many times over the last 4 years for a variety of projects around our home. Heath has replaced our garbage disposal, painted the interior, created a "window" in the dining room wall, installed a security screen, flushed our hot water heater, installed various ceiling fans inside and out, erected a screen on the patio to keep golf balls away, changed door locks, and replaced several faucets. He is our go to handyman for all things essential! Heath's prices are very reasonable, and his employees are always professional and courteous. Before and after photos of the "window" and interior paint attached. read more

Unbelievable. I contacted the company through Yelp to install 3 Spigots. I asked the woman if they had experience replacing Spigots and she told me they do them all of the time. I have an email from the company stating that the charge will be $75/hr plus a $20 travel fee added to the first hour which is their minimum charge. Based on that representation, I made an appt. It takes less than an hour to do the job. The worker arrived, I showed him that I had the parts, the water had been drained from the house system, so I assumed he was ready to proceed. He then told me he would give me an estimate. I told him that I was already quoted an hourly fee from the office. He then told me that they don't replace spigots by the hour, and a plumber would charge me $200- $300 per Spiqot, which is utter nonsense since I had two bids from licensed plumbers, one at $145 and the other $195. So trying to save $50, I get jacked around by another Yelp company. Me Stupid. read more

Heath came to fix mistakes that were made by the gentleman that I hired to fix up my house so that I can sell it. He did such a good job, that I wish I had hired Heath from the beginning for the entire job. Not only is his work professional and quality, but his prices are very competitive. I won't be using anyone else in the future. He talks to you in layman's terms and doesn't up charge you for nominal items. I was so stressed out about my house being left undone, and in under two days, he fixed it all up! If you need something done in your home, do not hesitate to contact Essential Home Services. You will not regret it. read more

We hired EHS to install a gazebo we ordered from Costco, and couldn't be happier with the results! Heath, and his assistant, Tommy, worked diligently, and precisely, over a two-day period to install the gazebo. It is clearly evident that Heath knows what he's doing, and takes great pride in what he does, which is very important to us. They were both exceedingly polite, and made sure to clean up after they were done. I had put off buying the gazebo for two years because I had not been successful in finding a handyman I could trust for this big job. I can unequivocally, and wholeheartedly, recommend EHS for any job, large or small. read more

Heath was amazing to work with! Him and his guys installed pavers and assembled a huge shed for me. He also mounted a TV and installed new electrical to run cables through the wall. They were on time and cleaned up very nicely after. Heath has great attention to detail, I didn't have to give much instruction at all. He had all the right ideas. I will keep him in speed dial for my future projects and will be recommending him to all my real estate clients as well. I highly recommend! read more
