From the moment I walked into 1187 Dental, I knew it was different then dental offices I had been to before. The front desk staff was amazing with figuring out my insurance information, and walked me through the whole process. (Thanks Amber!) When I was led back to the dental chair, they offered to play whatever music would make me comfortable. Dr. Rezsofi came in almost immediately and spent quite awhile talking to me about my fears and making me comfortable. He never acted like I was being silly, and truly listened as I explained why I was afraid. Amber was equally awesome as she took x-rays and explained each step before she proceeded. They even had a tv over the chair so I could see the results of the X-Ray. I had come in with a painful and inflamed gum and Dr. Rezsofi was able to quickly establish what was wrong, provide temporary relief, and outline what we would need to do next. Since that first visit I have rescheduled three times. Once for a cleaning, once for wisdon tooth removal, and once to have some minor cosmetic fixes to my front teeth. For a girl that refused to go to the dentist this was a BIG change. I truly appreciate everyone at 1187 Dental for helping me ensure that I can take care of my dental health without fear. I could not recommend this office more. I even made my husband switch, and now he loves them too! Thank you Dr. Rezsofi, Rhonda, and Amber....you guys ROCK!

After weeks of confusion from the front office Dr Goodwin called me and confirmed this. I made two more appointments one for a cleaning because I was due and one for the fillings. I scheduled the two appointments and took the time off work for both appointments. I had my teeth cleaned but was informed a few days later that my second appointment was also for a cleaning. I asked the office to call me once they figure out what was going on. I received no call to date. Nancy was rude and condescending to me, as I was trying to reschedule my appointment because I am pregnant and couldn't make it she persistently made it difficult to do so and was making personal remarks that were beyond unprofessional. I attempted to call back and voice my concerns and discomfort she immediately started to yell at me and say I was " tongue lashing " at her and as I was letting her know I'd like to speak to her manager she yelled at me and then hung up the phone on me. I've never received such biaed unpleasant service before. I attempted to apologize that she felt that way although she never apologized to me. Very unprofessional behavior.

I was overcharged for services, including duplicate charges and services that were also billed multiple times to my insurance provider. After contacting my insurance company directly, they provided a detailed explanation of benefits confirming that my total out-of-pocket responsibility was $722. Despite this, the dental office charged my card $1,419.60 -- nearly double the verified amount owed. Additionally, I scheduled my care with a specific dentist, but for my second visit I was seen by an associate due to the original provider's unavailability. Although this change was not initiated by me, I was assessed a $75 "new doctor" fee. Charging a patient under these circumstances is misleading and raises serious concerns about billing integrity. When I attempted to resolve these discrepancies, I encountered repeated resistance. I was forced to make numerous attempts to obtain a refund, and while a partial refund was eventually issued, the office still owes me over $100 based on the insurance-approved amounts. Rather than addressing the matter in good faith, staff refused to engage in meaningful resolution and instead directed me to "take it up with my insurance," despite the discrepancies originating from their billing. The situation escalated further when the office contacted law enforcement and accused me of harassment simply for persistently requesting to speak with a manager regarding a legitimate financial dispute. Following this, they ceased communication entirely and appear to have blocked my phone number, effectively preventing any further attempt to resolve the issue -- including contact with corporate oversight. Throughout this process, staff provided inconsistent and demonstrably inaccurate information, much of which directly conflicted with documentation from my insurance provider. These actions raise serious concerns regarding compliance with standard billing practices and transparency obligations. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against doing business with this office. Patients should be aware of the risk of being overcharged, improperly billed, and denied appropriate resolution when discrepancies arise.
