What a stunning array of lovely items for the little ones to wear. A bit of a luxury at some of…read morethese prices, but gorgeous stuff nonetheless. Set away from the busy main street of Melbourne Street it is in a spot where there is usually some parking around and always some place you can go and have a drink afterwards. The styles are common but the details are not, there are some very lovely fabrics with a lot of mixes that feature just a touch of unnatural blended with cotton, like polyester usually and the designs are often replicates what mum or dad may be wearing; it's almost a designer shop for tots with the prices reflecting that, although the quality and price match quite well and it is not super expensive, just high end. These days you can pay that little extra if you know it is decent quality and the kids are going to show some respect for the wear and tear as well. You know, a nice dress or shirt is a nice one, and a muck about one is a muck about one - once that distinction is clear things should last. Not a shop where I would buy for other peoples kids unless I know them very well. A great shop to bring your own if they are at that age where shopping is a new novelty and you want to teach them manners and respect. You can also check things out on line, cost included and then come in and buy. There's lessons in that.

This place screams show-parents…read more Who gives a flying fox what a kid wears? First of all, who are THEY trying to impress? Kids don't care what other people think of them. It's the parents who care. They're trying to show them off like dolls. It's terrible. I'm telling you, it KILLS me. Second of all, it takes away from a child the future experience of looking back at the shitty clothes they were made to wear by their parents. Instead they get to look back and say, 'Oh, gee, look at me. I'm like a fashion magazine.' The only way I can justify this place is for birthdays, weddings or any other special events.

Seed is a welcoming little shop on the Parade that specialises in baby stuff. Cue squees…read more It's immaculately decked out both in terms of product and shop fittings....but surprisingly that's what appeals to me the least. It's too polished: I prefer a little bit of mismatched homespun charm when it comes to kids stuff (and life for that matter). What can I say, I'm a Frankie girl through and through. Prices aren't cheap either: you're looking at $30 - $40 on average for tee or romper. That said, you can find some adorable stuff for the cutie patooties in your life, especially around sale time when they have up to 50% off. I nabbed some lovely chunky knits and adorable all-in-ones for my niece at good prices. They also stock women's clothes from what I can tell but it's really not my personal flavour. As well as all the usual tiny clothes, Seed have a good range of toys and accessories - I especially like the wooden toys and woodland critters. They also had a fox mask om sale the last time I dropped by: does it get any cuter?

This is the sort of store that makes it's money from the Keeping Up With The Jones philosophy. Oh, your kid is wearing Wayne Cooper Junior? Check out the price tag on this baby! Seed is a beautiful store with beautiful clothes. I pop in to buy gifts and the sales are excellent and happen regularly, so regular less competitive parents also have the chance to make their kids look Seed fabulous. But I don't buy clothes for my daughter from here because she thrashes them! How could I let her paint and skateboard if she was wearing forty dollar tights! It's impractical parenting. But birthday dresses that get worn once and then handed down? Sure. Great service too, the girls never seem to notice when I go in there and scoff at the prices and then buy the cheapest sale item in store. Bless.

I am so glad that I found this little gem of a clothing store, because despite its location just…read moreoff Rundle St, its prices are really reasonable, even cheap and that is a big tick in my books. Pari stocks an odd array of different items. There is a babies and children's section which has cute little pink clothes and fabric teddy bears and little painted bags. Then there is a range of quirky jewellery including brooches made from bottlecaps, where were cheap at around $15.00. The clothes are really well priced and good quality. Unfortunately, a lot of them don't have sizes on them so some trying on might be in order which is easily done by the two small change rooms at the back of the store. The dresses and tops were all nice and very colourful and the sale rack was amazing with some skirts and shorts down to $15.00. Definitely considering making a trip back there and buying up big!

Pari has been standing within the Ebenezer Place district (Vardon Ave) for some time, and in my…read moreopinion the store is a classic sort of women's clothing boutique, which is targeted primarily to those in their 20's and 30's. The clothes here are rather on trend, however not entirely typical. There is a healthy balance between in-style and same old. The fabrics are often delicate, sheer and lace-like. Hence Pari pieces are usually found in a range of soft and feminine colours. I like Pari because I find that the items fit rather nicely into the clothes likely (slash desirably) found in my wardrobe. The décor is also nice, with a black chandelier, white walls and (floating) floorboards depicting a pretty and fresh yet feminine sort of vibe. Another perk is the price, with many items here including dresses, tops and shorts are only around the $25 range, and it is possible to shop via the Pari facebook page upon request. There are also shipping options unavailable, including free shipping Australia wide for purchases over $50. Pari is also found at the Gilles Street Markets, and many exclusive finds to be discovered! Additionally for those Pari fans left wondering, after a short hiatus over the Christmas break, Pari is recently back open for business. Lovely.
