As gorgeous as it was, I doubt I'll be spending that much on a mere bean bag. Expect to pay a bit more here as you are paying for good quality products. I know that it is a competitive business there, but they do have quite a following and for good reason. Blazae stocks some really nice in season fashionable clothing. One reason why this store is so popular is that the clothing is so well priced than other stores. I have seen some of the designer items significantly cheaper. Also, it is worth mentioning that the owner takes great care and passion in ensuring that her customers get quality for the right price. She tries to be competitive and does not need to do sales to attract customers. As for the clothing, there is always a rotating stock with the seasons and up coming fashion. So you know when you go there that you will get what is in at the moment. Also, do not be afraid to ask for help on style, the owner is so friendly and helpful. She wants all her customers to have a great fashion experience and leave the store looking fine!

Woah, contentious? Yes, well, opinions often are. Here you can buy coloured denim short shorts that look like the ends are turning into a rug. They are frayed to the point of the loose threads becoming dreadlocks, hanging around the thigh. They also sell a wide range of boob-tube tops and cut-off tops that leave the whole midriff bare. I'm getting sick of seeing the stomachs of 14 year olds wandering around in these things. YES, I'm jealous, I have a much older (and 'filled-out') stomach and am not putting it on display! And don't even get me started on the short shorts with the pockets hanging out.... They do have a great range of short, sparkly party dresses, and all at quite affordable prices. Blazae is a flashier, more 'night out' version of Supre, and aimed at the same young market. While I dislike much of their clothing, I have to give it to them - they do what they do well.

Having said that, it's probably due for some sort of re vamp soon. Valley Girl is primarily for young girls, and has definitely raised the anti since I first started shopping here when I was 13. The clothes remain cheap; and although there may be the odd expensive buy, you usually don't have to wait too long until that particular splurge goes on sale. Thus you can find some good (and by good, I'm placing greater emphasis on cheap) pieces here, even if you happen to be significantly older than the main store demographic. Personally I think Valley Girl is great for various bargains such as (disposable) swimwear. For about fifteen bucks you can often walk away with two bikinis. They may only a summer or two but when it's that cheap, what does it matter?

A sexy girl in a sexy dress is a certainty to be spotted at least once in a visit to Rundle Mall, Adelaide. Come here on any given weekday and you'll believe me. It's only a matter of time before you suddenly turn your head towards that girl's direction...I remember an American businessman friend of mine that told me, "When I visited Australia for the first time, and I saw how beautiful Aussie women were, I knew it was highly likely that I could get into trouble. And I'm married." This isn't an understatement. I've fallen victim to the lure of Aussie women several times before. I especially loved the music that was playing. It's hard not to like a store when they have a playlist of a Sade song, followed by 'World Tour' by 'A Tribe Called Quest'. Frilly at the top, and skimpy and tight around the waist and legs. The prices are higher than usual, and you can get far classier dresses for a lower price. Miss Gladys Sym Choon still deserves a lot of credit for its designs from the Malaysian designer. Although designs can be simple and of one bright colour (my top two colours from this store are bright red or metallic black), there are other items on offer, and you've gotta appreciate that they've allocated a generous section for menswear too. Though not the best on prices, Miss Gladys Sym Choon do dresses very, very well. It was funny, because once I asked the shop assistant for a sexy dress, he was on fire and picked out five different colours without any hesitation! The other girls downstairs saw what was happening and they laughed when I said, "She's tryin', I'm buyin!'" LOL For those of us blokes who randomly suddenly get a testosterone hit while shopping, Miss Gladys Sym Choon will cause your jaws to drop. Thank you so much. The best way to end my day. I left there thinking, "Damn girl, you looked sexy in those tight dresses. Sexy, sexy, sexy." This store, like the Sade song, "gave me a kiss of life."

The surprise of seeing one of Australia's biggest young designers inside drew me inside. I had actually assumed from the outside that LAX was more a street fashion/ men's store, with all the sneakers on display, and the name 'LAX' as well. But glancing through the racks I was pleasantly surprised by the selection: lots of big name and hard-to-find-in-Adelaide designers like Antipodium, Jesse Hill, Josh Goot and the like, as well as bits from cheaper fashion labels like Minkpink. Yet, despite having some amazing labels on offer, something has stopped me from really liking and frequenting this store. It could be that the selection isn't huge, or the general food court ambiance, or the uninviting decor. Or it could be their edit of the labels just isn't really my style - it feels street/ surf/ skate even though it has a lot of higher end pieces, I can't put my finger on it.
